Love this primer! It does exactly what it's supposed to do and feels nice and lightweight on my eyelids. My eyeshadow goes on perfectly over it and doesn't budge. A little bit of this product goes a long way as well. There is some separation in the tube but if you shake it up it's not really a problem.

I've tried MAC paint pots, ELF, Sephora, Mirabella; finally I've found a primer that makes my eye shadow stay put!! It makes even cheap shadow stay. Don't waste $ or time on other primers, just buy Too Faced!

This is my favorite eye primer. I apply this under my shadow before I go to school and everything is still there at 6pm after track practice. No creasing or fading.
The only thing a bit tricky about this product is the amount to use; if you use too much, there's a "reverse" effect so obviously there's creasing

This is the best shadow primer there is.
It will help your eye makeup stay on until YOU want to take it off. Zero creasing. Zero smudging.
I have oily eyelids, and before I started using this primer my eye makeup would last a few hours, at most. Now it generally holds up for an entire 9-5 workday.
I will buy this product again and again and again.

This is the first es primer I've ever bought and I haven't had to switch at all! It totally works for me on my oily eyelids which eat through anything I put on them. I used the tiniest amount (I love the squeeze tube with the tiny nozzle) on each eyelid and let it dry to a slightly powdery finish. (I've even used this under my concealer.)
Eyeshadows and eyeliners don't crease, look brighter and truer to color and by the end of the day (or night..) just naturally fade ever so slightly. It's effing amazing, I haven't had to try anything else.

I like Urban Decay's Primer Potion too but I find that this one stops creasing completely. Everyone raves about UDPP but I think Too Faced is better to me.

I first tried the MAC soft ocre and painterly, and that was a little too heavy on my lid. Then I tried the Urban Decay primer but that was too drying on my lids, considering that I have pretty dry lids to begin with. Then I tried the Shadow Insurance! It is great. It has great creamy consistency and glides on my lids very smoothly. It makes my shadows and eyeliner last all day long considering my monolids.

A friend of mine used this when doing makeup on me and I fell in love! Eyeshadow stays in place, no creasing and it lasts all day. I have no problems using this primer, so I won't be switching anytime soon! :D

Love this eyeshadow primer! Makes my eyeshadow last all day without the slightest crease! Once I finished my tube I decided to try udpp to see what the hype was about.. and I wasn't as happy I noticed some creasing halfway through my day.. I will definitely be purchasing too faced shadow insurance again!

Love this! I suffered from oily lids for too long, no eyeshadow would stay on for even 3-4 hours no matter how good and expensive they are. I recently tried shadow insurance and now my makeup stays on for 12 hours only with minor fading. Definitely recommended if you have oily lids.

Omg... I wanted to try this product because I thought I needed a change from my urban decay primer potion ... Big mistake! my eyeliner and eyeshadows totally smudged and gave me raccoon eyes within 3 hours when I used this product underneath. It didn't make the product stay at all... It was horrible... I'm back to using my urban decay primer potion - I shouldn't have changed... Too faced shadow insurance was a waste of money...

Absolutely love this eyeshadow primer. It definitely does the job. On top of that, a little goes a long way! The packaging is great... very easy to control how much you use and very sanitary and airtight. But honestly, a little goes a longggg way. I just finally ran out of mine but now that I think about it, one package lasted me maybe 2 years? And I used it pretty much every single day almost. One little dot per eye is all you need!! Neverrrr experienced creasing while using this. It is a little pricey but totally worth it! Incredibly happy with this product and would repurchase it.

Does what it says! I can wear my makeup all day, sleep in it, and wake up and it looks like I just applied it! Love this product!! Very little needed, so don't waste it, it will last you a long time, I've had mine over a year.

I don't know why but this doesn't really od it for me. I was always using ArtDeco eyeshadow base which is much cheaper but I love love love love that. Only sometimes after a long day I would have some creasing. So I thought if I try the hyped eyeshadow primers I might get an even better result.
So far, not really. I was expecting great results but I already have creasing after a few hours. I hope this might change because for some strange reason very often when I first try out products it doesn't work for me and then after a while it suddenly works a lot better, so I am hoping the magic will happen and I will start to love it. If this happens I will edit the review but so far it doesn't really do anything for me although I wish I could give this a great review.

I find that this primer is much better that UD primer potion. You only need the tinniest amount of this and it will hold your eyeshadows in place all day. But I am a little bit torn thou.. 'cause sometimes it works out great and other times it just doesn't work at all... But I'm not giving up because when it does decide to work it does an amazing job! I can't decide if I love this one more than I love my Painterly PaintPot from MAC...
I would rate it 4/5, it's definitely a great primer!

YES! So much better than the UD primer or the Artdeco one that didn't do anything for me. TFSI made me understand why everyone was so crazy about eyeshadow primers. Before it all seemed like a gimmick or something that works on everyone else but me.
I have oily hooded lids that don't get on well with eyeshadow but with this the staying time increased from an hour to 6-8 hours. Yeah! And the packaging is much better than UD (I had the old one) or Artdeco!

This is the very first eyeshadow primer I've bought, so I don't know how other primer works. One thing I know for sure is that without this shadow insurance, my eyeshadow looks awful after more than 6-7 hours. With this primer, my eyeshadow remains intact as well as my eyeliner! I couldn't be happier. When you first use it, be sure to shake it thoroughly to disperse oil layer. You just need a dime size or smaller to apply both eyes, so it will last long. I've been using mine 5 times a week for 3 months, and I have long way to go! I don't know how this works compared to Urban decay, but I heard that Shadow insurance is for dry eyelids. Perfect for me -- I have dry eyelids! It's definitely worth money, and I will repurchase again in the future.

I'd read so many great reviews on this primer, I had to get some when my Urban Decay ran out. I was pretty disappoined. First off, when I opened the tube and squeezed it to use the first time, all I got was a big blob of oil. OK, now I know--shake it up first. Second time I used it, I shook the tube thoroughly and still got a small greasy blob, not as bad as the first time but still a little grease. On my eyelids, it takes a bit to set and dry before I can start applying my eyeshadow. When I do go to apply shadow, I feel like this primer makes my shadow go blotchy. I find I have a harder time getting my shadows to blend well. The Urban Decay is definately creamier and thicker. I also have a LORAC primer that I got with an eyeshadow palette that goes on similar to the Urban Decay. Even my $1 ELF primer is easier to use and my shadows go on better than with the Too Faced. I had gotten a sample tube of Too Faced primer in Candlelight as a bonus with my Sephora order a while back. I hardly ever use it because it has a shimmer and I don't like shimmer primers. I have used it 3-4 times and it doesn't seem to have the same greasiness as the regular Too Faced primer. Definately will not re-purchase considering that Urban Decay is the same price and works better for me.
