I was very surprised by the fragrance. It struck me the first fleeting time I spritzed this as a knock-off of Lolita Lempicka. Subsequent spritzes though have changed my mind.
Definitely a great scent for those that love sweet smells.

I, like so many others on this board, was extremely hesitant to even try this perfume. I had a little sample of it in Allure, and couldn't believe that I was liking the stuff. I trudged over to the department store to try some on my wrist and walk around a bit with it on. Wow. I really liked it! It is *quite* sweet. This is good if you are a fan of Aquolina Pink Sugar (I am). My boyfriend liked it quite a bit, too. I was in denial that I actually liked the new Britney Spears fragrance. You must use it sparingly, though. I can see myself getting a headache if I was doused in it. Just one spritz is enough! As the scent wore off, I was surprised that it wasn't chemical smelling like most perfumes. Overall, a pleasant surprise. UPDATE: Unfortunately, this fragrance is starting to make me sick. Everytime I wear or smell it, I get an instantaneous migraine. How sad!!

I certainly did not buy this perfume because of Britney but it is Elizabeth Arden's fragrance and I usually love them. I first smelled this in a magazine insert and had to have it! I have Curious also, which I love.

The bottle is absolutely beautiful, very girly girl. The fragrance reminds me of cotton candy and sugar but its not overbearing. Even my boyfriend liked it and he is usually very sensitive to fragrances (Calvin Klein Euphoria made him cough and he had to shower to get the scent out of his system.) I wanted something that was mild yet still sexy so that I could wear it around him. He gave me the thumbs up on this one!

Yes, it does smell alittle like aqualina pink sugar but not exactly. This scent is young and fresh, easy on the nose but I won't repurchase since I get tired of fragrances easily. Im only loyal to Chanel Chance, which is my all time favorite.

i'm doomed. why, britney, why have you done this to me? it's just too good. whilst wearing, this fragrance evokes in me a most disturbing and alien emotion. at once, i hate myself and want to eat myself. order me up a vat of this with a zoloft chaser! INEVITABLE EDIT: Wow! I really was crazy. After a few months of exposure, or, more aptly, subjection to herds of midriff-baring 11-year-olds who BATHE in this junk and then come galloping out of the 90-degree heat and into the mall, smelling like a nauseating cocktail of Britney and wet puppy (one in the same? One wonders...)I am inspired to type a run-on sentence the likes of which has never before been attempted. So there. Told you I needed psych meds.

Not bad if you enjoy sweet scents: I just tested out this perfume in the store and put a little on a card and slipped the card into my purse, since I thought it was not bad. As I was walking around, I kept swearing that I smelled burberry brit everywhere. Then I realized it was coming from my purse! In my opinion, this scent smells exactly like a sugar/candy-coated Burberry Brit, the same thing, but sweeter, if that is even possible! I'll pick Burberry over this, but I'm sure it will be great for some people.
Edit: I tested it on my skin, and I can't stop thinking about it. It is a very warm yummy bakey scent. It is different from Brit on my skin. I may have to purchase this! Edit: Got it as a gift, and it's perfect! Bumped up to 5.

Just smelled this in the Oct. Allure and was pleasently surprised..very very nice. I don't know all the technical ingrediants but was kinda citrusy and yet caramally too. Anyway, I know alot of people will hate it just cause it's Britney (which is so like 5th grade IMHO) but I couldn't care less who makes it, it's just a good smelling scent to me :)

I had written a good review for this, but after wearing it for a while I had to give my bottle away. It made me nauseous. No other perfume has made nauseous before so I don't know what the deal is. Too sweet, I guess.

I went to Lord & Taylor to sprey this on myself to see if I liked it as much as everyone here seems to. It's totally Pink Sugar when you first spray it on!! Then it just turns into a subtle "nothing much" nice but there is something missing...not enough oomph.
Not worth spending the money on that's for sure.
I'll stick with Pink Sugar, it's cheaper, has that extra oomph, and lasts all day without losing it's initial smell in the dry down.

The bottle is cute though. Very Barbie.

My new favorite scent! When I heard this baby had a 'cupcake note,' I was all over it, because I'm the queen of smelling like baked goods. Upon sniffing, I was not disappointed one bit -- in fact, impressed that its actually a more complex scent that straight-ahead sweet. It morphs from a candy scent to a creamy sweet to a woodsy drydown. I can understand the comparisons to Aquolina Pink Sugar, but I do think that one is a little stronger, a little more in-your-face cotton candy, while Fantasy is softer, more subtle and welcoming in its saccharine appeal. (Haha, I sound like I'm hyped up on sugar as I write this, right?) I can't wait until Fantasy comes out in a body cream or shower gel, because I'll buy it--thats how much I love this scent. And the packaging is adorable. And have you seen the commercial?? Ok, it's super cheesy that she references Kevin in it, but its so pretty! lol I'm sorry, I'm an estrogen-driven girly girl and this scent--perfume, packaging and ad campaign combined--was made for me.

Britney Spear's new fragrance, Fantasy, smells really sweet like candy or vanilla. At first, I didn't like it because it smells too sweet, but then I started to appreciate how sweet it is and the staying power is so great it overpowers other smells. This perfume lasts the longest out of all the ones I've used. This is one of the reasons why I like this perfume. The smell is easy on the nose and though it lasts long, it doesn't smell too strong. The bottle is also really pretty. It's magenta and with diamonds all over it. Near the cap, there's more diamonds. It's just really pretty. I could smell myself everywhere I go now LOL. I would recommend this perfume to anybody that likes the smell of vanilla or cupcakes and to people that likes a perfume with staying power.

Exclamation! and Pink Sugar; Exclamation! much more so than Pink Sugar. Dry and very headache-inducing in 90 degree heat, so don't test if you're about to romp outdoors. Overall, not quite unique enough for me. Fantasy smells just like the dept. store now, or maybe the dept. store smells just like Fantasy?

After three tests on skin and a struggle to overcome the fact that again I like another Britney Spears fragrance, I am caving on a bottle of Fantasy.
Notes include: red lychee, quince, kiwi, cupcake accord (more like frosting to me), jasmine, white chocolate accord, musk, orris root, and sensual woods.

The lychee smells like pears to me, and the top fruits are almost obscured by the upcoming cupcake accord, which gives the foody-sweet cakey smell right away on my skin. It seems to be very vanilla in 'flavor' to me. I am sure that any cupcake accord would include vanilla! This part of the fragrance is girl, sweet, cute, young, but not cloying or overpowering at all. But wait! Could it be that there's something deeper hidden here? Yes, there is! The drydown on this fragrance is a total surprise, devastatingly sexy and totally all-woman, not girly. The drydown stunned me. It became a sensuous, sultry, mysterious, bombshell scent on my skin! Sort of exactly what Britney is, if you think about it. Bravo to Arden and Ann Gottlieb who was the perfumer on this one. And too bad that it could happen that some people will dismiss this as just another celebrity scent and not give it a chance because of Spears. It's worthy, I tell you!

I have had the most unusual experience with this fragrance.
Several weeks ago right after it came out I spritzed some on me at the local Macy's...and it stunk, I mean reeked, I finally had to go scrub my arms lest it kill me.
Then a week or so ago a woman (and I emphasis woman here)..breezed past me and she smelled divine..so I asked her what she was wearing...wouldntcha guess? Fantasy..so I thought it would give it another try..spritzed last weekend..and loved it.
I have read others compare it to pink sugar..I dont see it..But Pink Sugar and I are on the outs right now since I picked up a scarf I had been wearing and realized PS is one of those scents that smells great on YOU...but blech on your clothes..VERY musty...Anyway..I cannot put my finger in why I like this, it is sweet and sorta foody. But the dry down of light flowers is unique and quite lovely...in a soothing pretty way.
So I bought it..
**This is the warning for you ladies**
This is very reactive to whatever else you are wearing, if you have even the slightest floral hand lotion on it can become toxic.
I used hand lotion today and the insides of my wrists are fairly giving me a headache. But elsewhere still lovely..
Also...use a light hand, it makes the difference between sublime and heachache inducing.
And it lasts...it's 2p and I spritzed at 7a..still going strong.
I am going to try a vanillaesque lotion to see if it cuts the floral a bit.
Dont know why..but I like it.

To my surprise, this was actually pretty nice. Yes, it's sweet and girly, but miraculously I don't find it cloying or sour or too saccharine, like most fragrances of this ilk. I remember Spears saying that her new fragrance would smell like "milk and cookies," but this smells more like fruit punch and cookies. It actually smells like the sticky hands of a nursery school child. Maybe it's my ticking biological clock which has left me gooey-eyed at the sight of babies lately, but I find this fragrance very pleasant and comforting. The lasting power is surprisingly decent, too...it's still very much present after 6 hours. I also did not find this fragrance to be very similar to Pink Sugar, which was pure cotton candy and far too sweet and juvenile for me. Despite its charms, though, Fantasy is quite simple and linear, and I just know that I'd tire of it very quickly. Like that dim-witted cute guy with whom you'd enjoy a fling...but you know there's not enough depth for a long-term relationship. Yep. Oh, and the bottle? Hideous. Tacky beyond belief. Like a 7 year old girl's idea of what a perfume bottle should be. Maybe that's what prevents me from buying this. (Well, its association with Britney Spears may be part of the problem too.) I won't make any grand proclaimations yet, though...in a weak moment, I could see myself caving on this one. Le sigh.

Just purchased this for myself as a birthday present to myself (just turned 35, but certainly dont feel 35!) anywhoooo!!!! I really went to purchase the new Calvin Klein Euphoria which I really wanted to like, but it ended up smelling a bit too grown up for me! Right next to the Euphoria was "Fantasy" in what I think is a really cute, eye catching bottle! I spritzed it on and initially really liked it - almost wanting to make myself not like it due to the Brittney Spears name associated with it (not because I do not like Mrs. Spears-Federline) but because I felt maybe I was trying to hang on to my youth by purchasing it! Then I thought who gives a ****! I love it and that is all that matters! I think maybe people try to analize fragrances way too much!! I have learned to test a fragrance first and if you find yourself sniffing your wrist or arm over and over throughout the day, then you must like what your sniffing! Right?

I got this today from a lovely MUA woman as an ROAK. I do have to say, I can smell the same "peppery" Pink Sugar feel to it, BUT it more smells like TM's "Angel"!. If you like Angel and Pink Sugar, then you will like this! I def. smell more "Angel" as I smell my wrists, but not QUITE as sharp... a little "marshmellowy" but overall it's nice. Can not comment on the price or bottle how it's packaged, just the overall scent. I'd say it's great for someone who wants just a small vial to try, but I probably wouldn't run out and buy a big bottle (I have WAY too many perfumes to use up anyhow!).

UPDATE: This has a really pretty dry down! Nice, soft and warm....like melted marshmellow prior to adding rice krispies! :)

I was excited to try this since I had read on previous reviews that it smelled a little like Pink Sugar even though I do not like anything Spears. I tried this on at a store and was surprised by all of the great reviews so far. This smells nothing like Pink Sugar to me. The first spray was very sharp alcohol and the drydown just smelled like a cheap gas station perfume. I couldn't detect any of the wonderful notes that they had listed at all. I usually have a really good nose for these things. It just smelled like a powdery alcohol rich perfume with MAYBE a hint of flowers or vanilla in there somewhere. (Bottle is pretty cute...)

Darnit. I like it. It's sweet but not overly so, to me. Initially I get a cross between an Escada Limited Edition and Pink Sugar although not nearly as sweet as either and the drydown is a quite nice sweet musky skinscent. Bottle is slightly cheesy with some sparkly..stuff(why oh why can't they make the bottles more sophisticated with these scents?). I wore this to work yesterday and received numerous compliments from both men and women. Not complex or particularly sophisticated but just pretty and easy to wear. Nice job, Elizabeth Arden. I'd prefer Mrs. Federline not be associated with this scent and profitting from it, but I can get over that. I'm sure she said "mmm that smells good", signed off on it and gave the thumbs up to Elizabeth Arden, which actually created the scent. O.K by me. There's not much not to like about it.
The lasting power is surprisingly good - 6 hours - and for me that's a lot.
