Ofcourse foundation doesnt have thought processes to determine what area it wants to mattify and what area it wants to hydrate... so beyond that, this is what to expect from this base: medium coverage, spreads/blends smoothly, soft feel upon skin. In my opinion is does not mattify whatsoever so I would recommend it to someone that had normal, or normal to dry skin type. I like to wear this one in the winter.. the summer humidity makes this one look too dewy for my liking. Color choices are not the greatest.

I like clinique foundations a lot because they give me the closest colormatch. Not perfect, but close. This one is supposed to balance the skin, moisturize dry areas like cheeks and control oiliness where needed. I like the consistency of this foundations, it really goes on very smoothly like it claims, but I cannot see where it reduces oiliness. I still get a very oily forehead and nose by noon. Still, I give it 4 lippies because of the smooth, nice to wear formula and the good color selection.

I have been using this foundation since I started wearing makeup and my mum dragged me to the Clinique counter! I know Clinique gets a pretty bad review on this site regarding their 3-step, but I have to say I LOVE this foundation. I have combination skin, and it really does make the oily areas matte and the dry areas a bit moist.
I'mn also quite pale, but don't like my foundation to make me look even more washed out. The colour I use is Beige Chiffon, and it adds a bit of warmth to my skin without looking orange.
Highly recommended girls!

I wasn't having good luck with my usual makeup, so I went to a Clinique counter one morning to get made-up before work one day. I asked the lady for a sheer foundation (I like my freckles, darnit! So many makeups cover them up), and she brought out this. Her solution to "sheer" was to put the foundation on spots where you need more coverage, and then feather it out and blend well. This foundation is not sheer-- why didn't she just tell me they didn't have one? The only way I can use it is to spot it on like she did. If I put too much on, my oily skin looks like a cake and it revolts, producing even more oil. The only reason I like it is because I can use it instead of a concealer-- that should give you an idea of the kind of coverage I like. So although I still use this occasionally, I will not buy it again. It's too risky for me to over-apply.

I really like this foundation i used to use cliniques clarifying clean skin formula- which was way too drying for my skin- although this dosn't really absorb my oiley parts so well.

I love this foundation! I just bought some the other day for the first time, and applied it yesterday. It covered very well, evened out my skin tone sand I did not feel the need to wear a powder over top, resulting in a more natural, polished look for my skin. The color was also perfect for my skin, and it feels great. Very soft, smooth and velvety. I will definatly use this again.

OMG I love this stuff. I had the Clinique lady do make over on me to see what would work with my combination skin. And I was in love with this stuff. It felt light, like I was wearing nothing. And it lasted all day, even when I was at work, and I work in an Auto parts store. I am so getting more when I run out its so worth the price.

I normally never wear foundation, only some powder. I bought this to get a more finished, and polished look, and this does a great job. First problem is that the color match is not good, it is expecially noticeable if I use it sparingly over my lowere jaw area, it is sort of pinkish side or orangeish side, I don't know. If it were more neutral, or yellow I think it would have been perfect. The color I got was Neutral. The coverage was just great, I didn't like Px Virtual Skin as much because there was no coverage at all and made me look like I had not makeup at all on. It was way to sheer. As far as controlling the oilier areas, I don't think it worsens it but it doesn't work after 4 hours, it shows up a little shiny. Not as shiny as some other foundations I have used before like, CG, L'Oreal, etc. I really liked the consistency and the finish because it is more velvety and easy to apply. I wish I had a great color match otherwise this would be my holy grail foundation for the winter/later fall/spring months when my skin is a little more on the dry side.

I really liked the texture and coverage of this foundation - but it tended to turn orange during the day. After seeing myself in some photos I realized they also did not have good colours for Asian skin tones - too peach.

I don't generally like wearing foundation, but I really like this product. It's the only foundation that blends well and looks good on my face.
It actually looks like my skin and not make-up. People compliment me on how fresh and good I look. It's easy to blend and I don't find it cakey or heavy at all. It's simple to remove too.
I think it's great. This product gives me the dewy fresh look I like.

This has a tendency to "separate" on my somewhat oily skin. I could never find a good color match either; the lightest color, Breeze, was too yellowy and the next shade was too dark. This also felt rather thick on and could tend to slip and slide. Another bad Clinique foundation.

My HG of foundations! I have looked FOREVER for a foundtion that matched my skintone, wasn't too matte, and provided coverage without being noticible. This is soo perfect. I got this in Linen and it matches perfectly. My skin looks great! :)

I tried a sample of this and really liked it. If I was short on cash, I might be tempted to purchase it. It blended well and looked nice on, controlled the oilies fairly well without being too matte.

I'm one of the lucky ones that found a perfect color match for my combination skin. I like the texture and coverage this foundation provides and it lasts me all day - even without powder. The salesperson gave me a tip about not over blending it and this makes for a great application. The bottle is a problem though; the foundation is thick and doesn't come out very well.

I'm not a big foundation person, but when I want to wear it, this is my pick. I have it in 'Breeze',and it's a perfect match. This foundation goes on smoothly, has no discernable scent, lasts all day, doesn't turn orange or greasy, and doesn't feel like a mask(a BIG plus!) I also mix it with moisturizer to make a great TM. When I run out of this,I will definitely repurchase. The price is not bad at all.

the foundation whore tries to be more constructive;)
Me: Extreme Combi! (often have flakes in areas) + Acne Prone, big fat pores and fading acne marks. FFF/MMM (nearer to MMM, I think)
Pluses:
+GREAT texture.
+Very easy to blend
+Loads of colors to choose from
+Oil free
+Didn't break me out
Minuses:
-Oxidizes too easily
-Tends to sink into pores
-Doesn't really "superbalance" your skin...But what on earth does anyway??!
Verdict: My very first department store foundation.. I was really excited about this because it looked great at the counter. But I live in sunny Singapore, where humidity oppresses us all, so this oxidised TOO easily. I got an orangey cast within an hour of usage, so this is probably the best for places other than the tropics. But other than that, this still remains one of my favourite liquids. Mainly because of its nice creamy texture and the superb blendability and the fact that I can always depend on it for some non pore clogging coverage for a reasonable price.

This foundation was just OKAY for me. It didn't seem to control oil very well and it didn't seem to help my dry patches. I got talked in to a color that wasn't right for me-none of the Clinique colors are, though.

I got about 7 or 8 of the sample sized bottles (all for free!) and im really loving the way this foundation looks. I absolutley hate thick and cakey foundation, so this ranks high up there for me. Its not one bit cakey or chalky looking, it leaves me with a nice smooth finish. I have this in Fair, its a little to light for me but its still very wearable. All in all its just a very nice foundation.

I've never found a Clinique foundation that works for me...and I want to! I use the skincare and it works beautifully for me.
This is the foundation recommended for my skin type. It looks chalky and makes my pores visible. It's not for me.
