I really like this mascara but where is the Waterproof version!??! I can only use waterproof mascara as the regular kinds never hold my curl. I bought the nonwaterproof version because I really wanted to try it anyways. It gives so much length! This would be my new HG if it would hold my curl but unfortunately it does not. I still use it on top of my normal mascara but I have to wait for it to dry completely. Please bring the Waterproof back L'oreal!!!

I'm completely enamored with this mascara! I've tried many different ones and I've found that L'oreal makes my favorites. I had been using voluminous millions and voluminous millions false fiber lashes but Telescopic is just extraordinary. It lengthens like a dream! I am always looking for a fantastic lengthening mascara because my lashes are naturally quite curly and don't look very long. I thought I found an hg in maybelline's old lash stylist, which had a very similar wand to Telescopic, but was discontinued : ( . I finally tried this in Blackest Black and I'm happier with it than any other mascara I've ever tried in my life. It combs through my lashes smoothly. It makes me look like I'm wearing falsies! And it washes off very well and without hassle, something I couldn't say about maybelline's lash stylist. Frankly, I've never seen my eyelashes look this long and gorgeous. My only regret is that I went so many years without trying this. I have to give credit where credit is due; my favorite French actress, Roxane Mesquida says she uses this and is very happy with it and I couldn't agree more! Once I read a beauty interview she had done where she praised this mascara, I knew I had to try it! Now that I have, I can't see myself using anything else.

I don't get how this mascara was so great for some people. The brush itself was so awkward for me. It doesn't even have bristles to comb through the lashes. It's a weird, 4-pointed plastic thing that just has mascara sticking on it. When I first applied this, it made all my lashes stick together to create about 4 lashes :-/ So then I used a tissue to wipe off some of the excess mascara before I applied it to my lashes and it was slightly better. It still clumped my lashes together and I had to run a lash comb through. Maybe I just don't have the technique right for this brush, but I thought this product was one of the worst mascaras I've ever tried.

My favorite mascara of all time. If you like plastic brushes and long thick lashes, this could be your favorite mascara too. I love how I can put on 4-5 coats without clumps, and it rarely flakes off. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 because even the slightest drop of water or one tear will make it run . Consider buying L'oreal Voluminous Waterproof for the bottom lashes.

my HG of drugstore mascaras
amazing color, no flakiness or ugly clumps
for a thin plastic brush it actually volumizes very well.
MUST BUY !

I love this mascara! It makes my eyelashes so much longer and thicker, its an amazing mascara, really impressed. The only thing I dislike is the plastic brush but I do like the formula and the intensity. Would buy again.

Love it ! Makes my lashes miles longer. I always apply a coat of another mascara to thicken them though.

LOVE this stuff. makes my lashes miles long. the only thing i dont like is that you cant add more coats when it dries or else you turn into a flaky mess.. but i guess thats all mascaras. well worth the 8 bucks (or something) that it costs.

This was a dissapointing mascara for me especially after reading and seeing some raving reviews (I expected the bargain of the century, a reasonably priced mascara that delivered like the high end ones but no such luck).
It made my lashes longer, it's a good black (not the blackest there is but good), volume: I wouldn't say that much (I already have enough volume naturally) so if volume is what you need it won't deliver what you expect.
I experienced some fallout during the day and it made my lashes very fragile. They broke like crazy, just mid lash and when I removed the mascara there were quite some lashes on my pad.
That was the major reason why I stopped using it, I never had that with any mascara not even waterproof.
If it didn't break my lashes off I would have continued using it as an everyday mascara but either way I wouldn't have repurchased it.

This is a review for L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black. It comes in the same shape tube as Telescopic Explosion, but this one is a gold tube (meant to resemble a telescope).
This one has a very long and thin brush with sort of teeth that are short. Most of today's mascara wands have fat bristles. This one reminds me of the first "automatic wand mascara" ever, which my mother had in 1960. Just a long metal wand. This one has what seem to be very, very short, tiny rubber teeth.
I like mascara to give both length and fullness. This one gives only length and separation, just like the Telescopic Explosion, but with the opposite kind of brush. You turn the brush around to get more coverage or more separation. For fullness I add a volumizing mascara, or I use this alone for that sparse but long lash look.
It is tricky to pull the brush out and push it back in. There is resistance. But I do enjoy using this as it has a nice effect. I probably find it easier to use than Explosion's round brush.
Again I give it a 4 because there is no perfect mascara.

This is my go to mascara for length. It is amazing and I would buy it time and time again. It makes your lashes so long and stays put during the day. It is however very hard to remove.

This is an OK mascara for lengthening and defining, but not so much for volumizing. I didn't have any major concerns while I used it, but I wouldn't buy it again. I would recommend Voluminous Million Lashes or Cover Girl Lash Blast.

OK WOW this is my HG mascara! Ive tried out sooo many mascaras from maybelline, to other l'oreal, to covergirl. But I have to say this stuff works AMAZING. lenghtens my lashes like freaking crazy & keeps them curled for the whole school day! I love love love this mascara! just with one coat of this & i'm good :) so glad I got this because of HauteBrilliance on YouTube she too has great lashes! & she even said it works better than the Benefit They're Real Mascara which I could'nt agree more. Will DEFINITELY repurchase again.

I have to say I love this product. I mean absolutely love it. I guess like all makeup products the result differs from person to person, I have thick medium sized lashes, this mascara separates them really nicely and makes them look so long they look fake...which I'm really into, I don't like wearing fake lashes because they're just uncomfortable for me, but this is a perfect alternative because I get the same look without the struggle and annoyance of wearing false lashes.

I like using Telescopic as a final definer mascara paired with a volumizing one such as Voluminous. It separates and defines lashes nicely. However, I would never use it on its own. My lashes are not that long, but they are also thin. I just need a volumizing formula/brush. But, I do love the thin brush, which is easy to control. If you already have long lashes, you might love this mascara. If yours are sparse like mine, try pairing it with a volumizing one too.

This made my lashes stick together, creating a spider web look. Yeah, they looked longer, but because of the sticky spider webbing they looked sparse & thin, which they're not. This is also one of the worst clumping mascaras I've tried (& I've tried a ton of them!) What a shame.

i think this mascara deserves more than an average rate. because it doesnt clump at all ! and thats crucial for natural looking eyelashes. i like this mascara. it reminds me of lancome definicils and for only a fraction of its price, its a good buy..

This mascara gives your lash that natural boost. The application is a rubber bristle and coats each lash to the smallest lash exactly where u need it to go. Zero clumps to each and every lashes unlike the other fiber mascaras. Only con is the tube is so long and cheap material. Afterawhile the markings of the product would rub off and comes out to one of them no name products. Cheap material and application gives no extra volume or lengthening. I would recommend this if u just going for that natural everyday define look. Other else prime it to give your lash that extra pow.

If you're going for the natural look, this is the best to go! Wonderful formula. As mascara becomes old, the consistency dies down and such, so use it on your eyebrows or lower bottom lashes. It works like a charm (:

This mascara is kind of you love it or hate it, there is not in between. I LOVE telescopic, is the best drugstore mascara I ever used (believe me I LOVE IT I have 2 backups of this at home… is the only product I backup) It’s really lengthening, and is near HG status in my book (my HG mascara cost like 3 times more…. So I don’t bough it that often).
That been said I totally understand where all the hate comes from. The brush is WEIRD and takes time to get used to it; the mascara is very “watery” (that something I like in mascara, but like 65% of women hate that) This give 0 volume, doesn’t hold a curl, and is not waterproof. But it really gives you like 25% longer lashes. Because that’s what I’m looking for, is perfect; but it doesn’t address every need. So if the only thing you want is length this one is the one, you just have to get used to the wand; for everything else… keep looking.
