Tried this awhile ago and it was soooo ineffective.....I was really disappointed....Didn't really stand out and accomplish anything...i feel like I even threw this away early, but yeah, I'm still looking for my HG mascara and this was just too clumpy and not even dark enough.

It was really a barely tolerable mascara, nothing amazing. It was on sale when I bought it and I definately wouldn't pay the regular price for it again. It did nothing for my lashes and it kept clumping them together. Also, for some reason this mascara really made me burn my eyes! I definately won't buy it again.

I totally love this mascara! I was skeptical at first because I never used a Rimmel mascara before but Volume Flash really exceeded my expectations. I love how easily it is to apply, one coat and your lashes are instantly blackened and thickened. My boyfriend usually jokes about my short asian lashes but it shuts him up when I have this mascara on. High recommended!

I like the brush for this one. It can really separate the lashes apart well. The mascara itself dries up too fast and gets clumpy and hard to apply on afterwards. I like the packaging. It looks fat and cute.

this is fantastic value for money! its really dark lenghens and thickings u might need an extra coat for a more dramactic look i normally use 2 or 3 instead of just 2 i dont find it clumps as long as its aplied properly! its tends to last all day how ever if u do want to apply another coat later in the day it dosnt seem to want to stick to your lashes!

dont let the curved brush fool you, you still need to wiggel and rotate the brush

when appling mascara remember to put your head back and look down also you will never get the full effect if u do not use eyelash curlers! x

I hated this product when I first got it but now I think it is a pretty decent mascara. I found that it can clump and stick your lashes together easily if your not careful so it can take a bit of practice to learn how to handle this mascara right. It hold my curl really well, which I wasn't expecting from this mascara and thickens, darkens and lengthens them too. The length is nothing extreme though. Overall this is a fairly basic mascara which is good if you are looking for thick lashes. I use this daily but for night I would op for something more dramatic, even though to some this might be exactly that. I actually wouldn't buy this mascara again, even though it is alright. I wouldn't buy it because its nothing special and there are many many more mascaras out there to try and some that might offer better results.

It was on clearance and I was almost getting out of my mascara, so I decided to try. It doesn't have a "unique" effect, however, it is smudge-proof. As soon as I put this on my eyes, it becomes dry. It is just an OK product. I won't buy this again.

** NEVER MIND, after a couple of uses, I love this mascara. It is just so natural looking and it does give my lashes volume!! I loooove it.

I have tried sooo many mascaras and i still always come back to this one. I have long eyelashes but there not very thick and this mascara thickens them and adds abit of length. This mascara is more for the people who like there eyelashes to be seen dramatic, i wouldnt say its a natural look mascara. However i love it and i think its really cheap and worth the price.

I was using this awhile ago and i remember that I loved it. It gave me great long lashes and it didn't clump. I may by this next week since my CoverGirl Lasg Blast has dried out on me......also you can put on a lot of coats and it does not give you this sticky uneven lashes, a look that i dread. I am going back to this definetely.

I got this on sale at the local Walgreens, and I think I paid less than $2 for it. It's great! I have longish, but sparse eyelashes and am always on the lookout for a good volumizing mascara. This does a great job of adding some girth to the lashes without having to apply many layers - two will do just fine. I had no trouble with smudging or flaking. And the black is a true black, unlike some so-called "blackest black" mascaras which still turn out grey looking. I like that the brush isn't terribly big, which makes it easy to apply the mascara to the base of the lashes to give the allusion of a thicker lashline. I would recommend this for the user who has some good experience applying mascara and controlling the product. Otherwise, I could see how clumping could become an issue.

This is the first Rimmel product I've ever purchased, and the cheapest mascara I've bought in ages. Surprisingly, it's not bad, in fact it's pretty decent. It can be a bit clumpy, takes some work, but doesn't smudge much, and does a decent job. I prefer Kevyn Aucoin mascara by far, but this is one fifth the price, and definately one of the better drugstore mascaras that I've tried.
UPDATE: after a few weeks I stopped using this - too clumpy - changed from 4 to 3 lippies

This is a very nice drugstore mascara. In fact, it is probably in my top 5 all time favorite mascaras. Gives volume and doesn't clump or flake. It is inexpensive so I usually have a fresh tube of this somewhere in my makeup bag.

Sadly, this is not an HG for me. I bought this in extreme black and it is really a true black. Since I have really thick, tangly, long, curly lashes, I wasn't expecting much because of the name VOLUME flash. My lashes are already voluminous. This is a really good, basic mascara. It doesn't lengthen, but I see the thickening aspect of it because the formula is nice and thick. It separates the lashes, but I like it to be a little more dramatic. So, I can see this working for people who have medium thickness lashes. I also bought the non-waterproof formula because I hate taking off waterproof formulas. I wouldn't buy it again.

LOOVE IT!!! i've inherited very short eyelashes and small eyes from my mum therefore I find it necessary to use mascara as it makes my eyes look a lot bigger.This mascara works soo well..I was kinda suprised by the results HOWEVER its soooooo clumpy.I have to spend like 10 mins in the mirror trying to separate my lashes :( So to achieve long full eyelashes without the clumps I then use Define-A-Lash! Those two work wonders for me..I would recommend this mascara..but only to people who only put like one coat of it..if you're like me and you like a generous amount of coats I suggest you don't get it :)

Liked this above my YSL Faux Cils , which I have been using for years !!! Wanted a similar look but the Faux Cils has tended to go smudgey on me after a few hours of wear even with brand new tubes - not a good look . This formula is not quite as smooth as the YSL , but it does not smudge and is intense black in colour and gives quite good volumising effect , very comparable to YSL . However , I ran out and bought the Volume Flash in Extreme Black , thinking blacker pigments = only better ... how wrong , this doesn't lock into the lashes as well as the Volume Flash and doesnt build as much volume ... and also doesn't look any more intense in colour , will see if I can return this ...doesn't do anything for my lashes !!!

LOVVVEEE this mascara! Hard to believe it hasnt gotten better reviews here...
i found that this mascara does an aboslutely quick and wonderful job of building lashes--one easy application and ta-da!, then, building it from there is up to the user :D
It IS a little thick, and i can see where the 'clumpy' complaints are coming from, but i feel its a small price to pay since the thick formula is what allows it to build length and volume so easily

Im on my 4th tube, will definitely repurchase!

Good mascara. I'm on a budget kick right now, abstaining from the high dollar items. Rimmel is one of my favorite drugstore brands and this mascara doesn't disappoint. It does what it promises, volume and length.

this is my all time fav mascara..........it makes my lashes thick and long it lasts all day and i think its better then most expensive mascaras like mac.
