This is not the worst mascara I've ever tried, but it certainly does not do what it promises. It isn't even an average mascara. I was truly disappointed since L'oreal makes such great things like Voluminous and HIP. The formula seems dry. Go back to the drawing board with this, L!

I bought a tube of this mascara almost 3 years ago and loved it, got huge HG fan-like dramatic lashes with little fuss. Recently repurchased and was not at all impressed, they must have since reformulated it because what was once a smooth, clump-free mascara is now... gunky, for lack of a better word. I had trouble getting it to go on evenly, and experienced some eye irritation as well.

I love this mascara! After trying out several other different types of L'Oreal mascara, this one is my latest and the greatest. I curl my eyelashes a bit and apply one simple coat. My eyelashes are defined, clump-free, longer, and curlier. It's that simple with this mascara. I add another coat once the first one is dry. The second coat even volumizes my eyelashes, in addition to making them longer. Also, this mascara doesn't irritate my super sensitive eyes. I wear contact lenses, which make my eyes even more sensitive, but with this great mascara, they're fine. I recommend this product to anyone with average eyelashes that are naturally a bit on the longer side.
Just curl, apply this mascara, and go! It's a very natural look but does a fantastic job in playing up naturally long, curly eyelashes.

It just defines your lashes if you don't feel like drawing too much attention to your eyes that day. I actually bent the mascara wand where the brush starts for easier application, and yes, you'll avoid touching your skin with the mascara wand like that. The staying power is fine. Yesterday, I wore it for about 7 to 8 hours and it smudged only a very tiny bit. If you're afraid of too dramatic eyelashes because you're a beginner, you can try this!

i really did not like this mascara. it didn't do anything exciting/different on my lashes, and i think the wand broke and the tube leaked after only a few days.

I actually loved what this mascara did for my eyes. Reminded me a bit of Chanel Inimitable. It really did curl my lashes, separated them really really well, but didnt make them too thick or dark. A great every day mascara for clean, yet sexy look.
The only downer for me is that it irritated my eyes. But, I'm not going to let my experience with it ruin the actual performance of the mascara, which I think it's still a good one.

This mascara doesn't do much for me. I have pretty healthy lashes without mascara - so if I'm going to go through the effort, I want the mascara to doooooo somthing. This doesn't. The biggest positive I've seen is that it stays on the lashes - little smearing.

The formulation of this mascara is very dry, but that works very well for me. It doesnt clump and surprisingly this mascara does what is promise to my lashes, it separates them like a fan and makes them thicker. The packaging looks a bit cheap to me. I have the plum colour, very nice colour.

it definitely curls my lashes!...adds a good amount of colour but doesn't extend lashes much... nevertheless, does provide a "panoramic curl."...good product.

Edit: L'Oreal tests on animals, so i certainly will not be buying their products any longer!

For the first 10 days or so, this product was everything anyone could want from a mascara--it curled, thickened, lengthened, and distributed my lashes into a fan. However, when the 10 days were up, the mascara thickened. I did not do anything unusual to the mascara that would cause it to gunk up. It may simply have been a very old bottle, but I don't care to find out. While it's still wearable, it does virtually nothing for my lashes. What a shame!

While I like the effects of this product, it is extremely dry. I am comparing it to other curling mascaras that are a more traditionally mascara wetness. I forsee myself tossing this in the trash sometime very soon and I only bought it about a two weeks ago.

This does what it says... curls and holds it for 8 hours!
I do about 3 coats while wet, and its amazing :)

I hated this mascara, really not one of the best especially after i had such high hopes for it. Didn't give me a curl or even manage to hold one (after using shiseido eyelash curler). it weighed down my lashes and really did nothing for them. Also dried out quickly, very disappointing.

i like the brush but the mascara was very dry and did not stay on my lashes. i had to put on like four coats to make it look like i had even applied mascara. even then my lashes looked bad b.c the mascara dried very quickly. good thing it wasnt too expensive

The overall effects of this mascara are incredible. It gives my the long, curvy/curly, lifted, defined, and separated lashes I crave. It also comes in a wide variety of shades including the classic black, blak/brown, very black, and brown as well as a dark blue, deep green, a plum, and a burgandy. All of these things sound great in addition to the relatively cheap price and easy availability rate,however, this mascara flakes, smudges, and smears like crazy!!!! It almost hurts my eyes and makes them itchy and red, and I am not a contact lens wearer or have sensitive eyes. I would not repurchase because I like Lancome's Flextencils and Cover Girl's Lash Exact tons better.

This mascara smudges like crazy. It looks fine when you put it on, but an hour later, most of it ends up below your bottom lashes. Racoon eyes?
