I have tubes of this everywhere because it is very soothing for dry lips. I like that it's not greasy, not waxy, fragrance free, and still effective.

This lip moisturizer acts as makeup for me instead of a treatment. It makes my lips look smooth and feel smooth - giving it the perfect non-greasy sheen. But it didn't do anything for my dryness. I usually use a Mentholatum medicated lipbalm to soothe my lips but once I switched to Neutrogena, my lips inflammed and I actually had to stay at home for a few days because it looked so ridiculous! I guess that was my own fault, I should have known better than to use anything other than my medicated lipbalm so I can't really blame Neutrogena. So I wouldn't repurchase this product again, it's expensive and it's just not for me - or for anyone with oversensitive lips!

One of the best lip moisturizers out there. It does not feel greasy or waxy on my lips. It simply moisturizes my lips the way a moisturizer moisturizes the face and the effect lasts a long time. Unlike many other lip balms I've tried, Neutrogena lip moisturizer doesn't dry out my lips overtime. It actually improves the dry condition of my lips. It also has SPF15 to protect lips.

Bought this today based on all the good reviews. I really like it, it goes on smooth and has no taste or color. I like the texture, it's not greasy or waxy. The packaging itself is nice also, I like that the top twists instead of the bottom. It was hard to find but I found Ulta and Longs Drugs carries it. It was about $3. I would repurchase this.
UPDATE: 6/26/09 Still love this stuff. In fact its the only lip balm/moisturizer I use now!!!! I think it is so much better than all the others, MUCH better. And my lips look and feel great. I bought a few backups too. I found some Walgreen's are now carrying this. The search for the perfect balm is now over. Definitely HG!!!! Oh I forgot to mention it has the added bonus of having SPF in it. Perfect.

Ordered this from drugstore.com after reading the reviews on here since most of the lip balms I've used in the past ended up feeling like they just dried my lips out more after the first hour. Even Burt's Bees seemed to not be working enough to warrant the price. I'd definitely say that this has been my favorite for the price, and even gives a pretty shine without any additional products on top, although I make sure I use this before any other lipstick or gloss. Will most likely repurchase.

I thought my HG lipbalm was Carmex, but I found that with continued use it was actually drying my lips out and making them chapped and peel-y. And the menthol taste was disgusting. I searched high and low for Neutrogena's lip balm after reading the rave reviews on MUA. I finally found it at Ulta and I love it. No taste, no fragrance, and no chicken-eating greasy grin, either. Works well under lipstick, too. My lips feel so soft and moisturized with none of that thick, waxy feel that I hate Chapstick for. And while Carmex just seemed to sit there on my pout, this feels like it sinks into my lips. Will definitely repurchase.

I remember this was my first lip balm. Back then I loved the smooth creamy feeling of it, but never appreciated the fact that it was better than all the other lip balms out there. I have to disagree with the opinion that this is merely glorified vaseline- it does far more than that. This doesn't come off quickly, and I find myself needing fewer reapplications. There is no scent or taste, but a practical SPF15. Great as a layer worn under lipstick- protects your lips from the drying effects. It's more expensive than other balms but it works.

I use this chapstick all year round.
It has spf 15 (wouldn't mind it being higher) and glides on smooth.
I had cheaper versions of chapstick but i was going through them like crazy. You always had to use much, and that's not the case with this one. I reapply perhaps 4 times a day during the wintertime! I bought 4 of these 1,5 years ago. I still have 1,5 left :) it really does last longer then cheaper stuff.

No chapped lips for me, ever!

Love this! It moisturizers my lips during the cold and dry winter season. Also it has SPF protection! What more do you want in a lip balm?!

I love the packaging especially how you can twist the lip balm at the top instead of the bottom. Makes it one handed user friendly!

[Edit] Reduced this to 3 lippies because it does not work during Canada winters. No matter how much and how frequently I put it on, my lips would be extremely chapped and skin would start peeling. Instead, I have resorted to Polysporin - purple packaging - in SPF 30. Works wonders...my lips have never been so soft, especially when I wake up in the morning.

I have extremely dry lips. Being a lip junkie, I'm consistently on the look out for lippies that could take my dry, cracked, and flaky lips away from me. Most lippies I have tried thus far have contributed to cracked flaky lips which becomes a lot more obvious when I use coloured ones. I have applied moisturizing lip treatments prior to sleeping, and of course, using a soft toothbrush to brush away the flakiness - None worked. Until I chanced upon the rave reviews of this lip moisturizer.
I was very lucky to have found the last piece of lip moisturizer standing in my local pharmacy! I can safely say, after using this lippie (consistently for the last 3days), my lips are not longer chapped, neither is there any flakiness. My glosses go on beautifully. I also adore the SPF15 formula. The design is great that the twist part of the lippie is nearer to the top. A very fair price for the wonderful lip saving results it gives. I will definitely purchase this over and over again.

Love, love, love.

This is the only lip balm I have tried that doesn't feel greasy. I literally feel no residue at all on my lips. I have recently started wearing lip balm regularly, as the winter weather seems to have gotten cooler and dryer. I have numerous lip balms lying around(God knows why), and after testing out all of them, this one is definitely my favorite. No gross plastic-y taste, no balm-y feeling, nothing. My lips just feel so soft after I put this on!

I actually think this is not moisturizing and I find that I have to keep reapplying all the time and the texture is not smooth. The only good thing is that its fragrance free.

VASELINE IN A TUBE
-this is okay for a die hard vaseline fan
-it lacks any flavor or smell
-it DOES moisturize your lips
-it does not do ANYTHING else
-it would be good for someone with very sensitive skin or someone with a low tolerance to smells, taste, etc.
-overall, this is a very basic product and it gets the job done, however a jar of vaseline would do the same thing...and be cheaper.

I received these in a swap due to the simple fact that I couldn't find it in any drugstore that carried Neutrogena in my area so I relied on MUA to provide it for me :) And bottom line - I probably couldn't live without this little tube at all. I've got a sad addiction to lip products, and I've tried numbers of chapsticks/lip moisturizers, and nothing compares to this little baby. I've thrown out all my other chapsticks because I love this one so much! I use it alone or as a base before applying lipstick or lip gloss. No color, no flavor, no smell & I've got no problems with that! I got 2 of these in a swap, hoping to use one for a backup, but my husband got a hold of the other one when he found his lips getting chapped & loves it, too! My only gripe is that it's so hard to find! :( Does anyone know where I can get it?! I will buy it all! :)
