I love this frosty super pigmented light medium steel blue. I love to wear this with Deep Truth in the crease. A bit much but it looks so good. Your eyes looks almost holographic. The texture is so smooth and easy to blend and you dont need to put much on to get awesome color payoff. One of my favorite blues.

I wear blues a lot and this one is great! Whenever I'm not wearing bright blues (electric eel, clarity) I go for this with freshwater and it really plays up my brown eyes and
N3 olive skin!

I HATE this color!!! Ive had if for a while and by far its one of the worst "recommendations" ever from a mac mua. first of all it wasnt anything like what i went in to ask for and it just looks horrible. i dont know why she thought it would be a good idea on my nc43 skin. i look like a clown. this horrible experience keeps me away from the blues from now on, especially if they involve a frost look. oh and to make matters worse she also sold me another horrible color for someone of my skintone which comes up white with some glitter(pink venus). i mean these colors would do if i was 14

MAC describes Tilt as violet with blue-green pearl (frost). On my skin the blue-green is much more pronounced than the violet. It's a surprisingly versatile colour; can be used as a light wash, packed on for intensity, as a liner, and combines beautifully with greys, blues, and greens. I use this as a lightly applied wash over a random light grey eyeshadow to add some interest to a work-friendly light-grey look. For a more dramatic take this is gorgeous with Electra in the inner corner, Tilt in the centre, with Humid on the outer v - DF calls this 'mermaid eyes' :-)
The texture is buttery, soft and blends well. The depth of pigmentation is probably a little disappointing for those looking for a true-to-pan colour on the first swipe, but as the colour is buildable, IMO it's a good trade-off in return for versatility.

I love, love, love this one! If I have a neutral eye shadow on and want to add some color, I line my eyes with this. It makes my blue eyes stand out beautifully. Even my fiance (who rarely notices makeup) complimented me on it. The finish is more metallic than it looks in the pot, so be aware of that. I have a feeling this will last me a while, but when I run out I will buy more!

I know this product has been receiving generally positive reviews, but I'm frankly disappointed with it. It isn't very pigmented, the color is definitely not wearable (unless you prefer the Halloween-look for everyday) and the shadow only applies vibrantly when wet (at which point it is nearly impossible to blend). If I'd known that shadows can be returned, I would have as soon as I bought this. Now, I'm just left with an entire pan of something I don't use. I won't re-purchase.

Tilt is one of those duochrome shadows. In the pan it can look anywhere from a violet blue to a turquoise blue. Swiped on the lid and depending on the skin tone it can look like a soft midtone warm violet with blue shimmer or a soft violet with a aqua shimmer. Wet, the iridescence becomes more visible.
For those of you wondering if this is similar to the pigment Softwash Grey, it is and isn't. Both are shimmery and have that violet color to them but Tilt shows more of the blue to green tone to it while Softwash has more of a silvery grey blue tone weaved throughout. If judging by coolness and warmth, I find Softwash cooler in tone.
I like to use Tilt for just a touch of color on the middle of my lid. If I want to go all out with color I would layer this on top of my blues or greens. But generally with a neutral based eye this adds just enough color for daytime.
Ingredients: Talc, zinc stearate, octyldodecyl stearoyl stearate, isostearyl neopentanoate, tocopheryl acetate, caprylyl glycol, hexylene glycol, hexylene glycol, phenoxeyethanol. May contain: silica mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, bismuth oxychloride, blue 1 lake, carmine, chromium hydroxide green, chromium oxide greens, ferric ferroxyanide, manganese violet, red 40 lake, ultramarines, yellow 5 lake.

Such a pretty, unique color. A little bit of blue, green, and purple. Applies evenly and blends well. Easy to pair with other colors! I don't reach for it that much as I can't wear it every day, so I would not repurchase.

I got this eyeshadow from my aunt and I hate it! It looks terrible on me, it is a pretty color granted but it looks like crap on me. It is a light blue with green shimmer. For reference I am NW20.

I love this color! This is my first and only MAC product and it was so worth it. It's definitely worth the 14.50 I paid. The color is not dupeable(is that a word? LOL) at all. It's the most fantastic blue color, with a beautiful purple frost. It really pops off of blue eyes. I'm usually drawn to neutrals, but this color is a winner! Just go check it out!

I got this in a swap and it's such a nice color. The perfect blue what I was looking for. You know what I hate here on MUA? How can you give an e/s a low rating when the color doesn't suit you??? If blue wasn't my color I would still give this e/s a 5! It blends like a dream! Perfect for daytime wear if you want a little extra. Super with black e/l.
It was a great swap!

This is a great blue - for an eyeliner with the brow brush, alone on sockets, & reallly blendable with a frost or vanilla pigment to give it some shimmer & lightening its tone - its a versitile colour!

Im really not sure why I bought this. I dont have many mac eyeshadows but I got this in duty free and considering I had all the colours to choose from I cant remember why I chose this. Its a great eyeshadow, but I have hazel eyes and I just never really wear blue. so I wont buy it again but if you like blue I do recommend it, and actually whenever I do wear it I love it! I use it on my whole lid and use a white pigment (white night by immersion cosmetics) with it on my upper eyes, It looks amazing.

I'm typically a more neutral person when it comes to makeup - but I'm trying different colours especially for night wear or just for something fun for the day =) Tilt is wonderful because it's light, if you don't layer it on too heavily it just give this lightly dusted with sky blue kinda colour and that's really nice. It's possible for day wear if you like. I'd recommend this colour, if you're wearing it alone it's good, and if you want to create a sorta smokey look with a darker blue it'll work too.

It's kind of my fault I don't care for this color.
I was trying to wear blue. I am typically stricly neutral/natural colors when it comes to my eye makeup.
The most colorful shade I trypically feel comfortable in is Beautiful Iris.
But when I went to pick up a lipliner, a MAC SA was wearing all of the colors from Cool Heat and they looked gorgeous! And when I asked her about them she said that since I have brown eyes I should lean more towards blues and teals than neutrals (don;t really agree with that, but still).
I didn't buy it then, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. So the next time I was in Macys I stopped by MAC and let the SA put one of teh Cool heat shadows on me.
She made me look like a freakin clown. So I decided to start by picking up something a little softer, and this led me to Tilt. I wan;t it to be a sweet, soft shimmery blue color. I mistakenly thought that the gold reflects would warm it up and make it blend nicely with more neutral bronzes or browns.
I shoulda realized that blue + yellow/gold = green.
I hate wearing green, esp green eye shadow.
So, no, I was not a fan of this e/s.

I was a bit nervous about this one...I mean, blue eyeshadow? I actually bid on this on a whim on eBay, and ended up winning it - I am so glad I did!
The color is really lovely...a violet blue/periwinkle with a green reflect...perfect for springtime. It also makes a great liner shadow. I have worn it during the day with neutrals as a color "pop" and gotten lots of compliments. However, it looks equally great as the "blending" color for a blue/violet smokey eye (paired it up with carbon and a random medium grey color) for a night out (just wore it like this with a nude lip to a cocktail party, and the compliments rolled in)
As for the formula, the color payoff if great (of course...this is a MAC product, and they are known for their shadows for a reason), and the formula glides on nicely, especially over a primer (may I suggest Too Faced's Shadow Insurance). The shimmer is definately there, but nice and adult...no glitter eyes here!
Overall, a great shadow, and worth the price in such a unique shade :)

I ususally stay away from blue eyeshadow since it is one of the hardest colors to pull off without looking like trailer trash. I bought this color after getting my eyes done at the counter. The MAC girl used Creme de Violet on on one half of my eyelid with Tilt on the other and blended. I love the combination. I have played around with this color and I like it on my whole eyelid as well. I have green eyes, but when I wear this on my whole eyelid my eyes look blue.

Absolutely love this shade.
As all of MACs shades, it blends like a dream. I often wet my eyeliner brush and use this as liner. The color is quite intense, and I find that it brings out my eyes well.

This is my facourite blue eyeshadow of all time. I love to pair it with grays and silvers. I also use it as a liner for more simple looks. I love how unique the color is. For me, it brings out some green in my eyes (my eyes are light brown with hints of gray and green).

I would like this e/s more if it didn't remind me of trailer trash =( I guess that's kind of ruined it for me. It works when you have a bunch of different colors going on and you use it sparingly, but I wouldn't wear it all over or widely across my lid. Frost looks great and color payoff is good.
