pros:
love the finish that this gives it looks really natural and makes the skin look healthy
it feels really light when you apply it yet it gives a pretty good amount of coverage (I would say the coverage is light to medium depending on how much you apply)
it's inexpensive and it hasn't broken me out at all
cons
the packaging sucks, would've been so much better if they put a pump. I sometimes end up pouring too much out on my hand and have to waste product. it's also more messy and not that hygienic
I have oily skin and this doesn't have great staying power for me so this would probably be better if you had dry or normal skin
overall this is a pretty good foundation and definitely one of the better drug store foundations

Fave drugstore foundation I've used.
It has a nice dewy finish but you MUST set it with a powder or else you will look slightly greasy. It has medium coverage and doesn't feel overly cakey or heavy.
My complaints would be that this foundation is practically impossible to wear on its own cause you will look like a greaseball, especially if you have oily skin. My forehead is really oily and wearing this on it only emphasizes that. I also think the color selection could be better, especially for pale people. I wear classic ivory and its a little too yellow based for me.
Update: is starting to break me out like crazy. bye bye.

There are so many good reviews on this as people's winter makeup choice so I bought one.....and was really disappointed. I have dry skin, even my nose can get dry sometimes! But as I have acne scars, I want to wear light foundation at least. This gives a nice look when first applied, but as the day goes on, like maybe 2-3 hours, it starts breaking apart on my face. There are patches of foundation here and there, and dry patches are accentuated.
The color selection isn't great either, bc I have yellow /warm undertones, but everything they offer with yellow warm undertones is way TOO dark for me. I'm maybe NC 15-20, mostly 20 in the summer... so idk what to do. I wanted to like this so badly, bc I can't buy a crazy high end foundation.
Packaging: sucks. especially for me, with acne prone skin, this is TERRIBLE. HUGE spout where too much product pours out of, and since I can't put it back in like other people do, I just wipe it away and throw it out.
Overall, for $9-13 for one thing, I would not repurchase.

I really like this foundation. Here is my skin: oily in places, dry in places, acne-prone, red and very sensitive. This foundation has great coverage that covers my red and acne scars. It also has sunscreen, which is a must! This foundation has not broken me out thank goodness. This foundation is neither drying nor oil preventing. I get a little shiny at the end of the day, but that doesn't bother me. It goes on nicely, I just use my fingers. It can be medium or heavy coverage depending on how you put it on. There are not many colors to choose from, and the packaging isn't good. I wish it came in a squeeze bottle. Otherwise, this is a great foundation and I would recommend it.

For cheap foundation this works for me. I have red areas in my face and this covers very well. I've recently started having outbreaks of seborrheic dermatitis on my face and this covers the red inflammation very well without causing additional irritation to my already inflamed skin. I use #60 natural beige. A lot of the product seems to gather around the outside of the neck of the bottle and inside the cap which makes it a little messy. Sometimes the product seems a little to thick for me and I'd prefer something a little lighter for times when I don't need as much coverage but after a seb drm outbreak it works for me.

Hg status. I am NC15 red hair green eyes and the lightest shade in 010 is a perfect match for me. I have oily skin in the summer and dry skin in the winter. I use this all wear round. In the summer I use about a dime sized amount and set it with powder. In the winter, I use about a penny sized amount and do not set it. I have a few acne marks and uneven skin tone due to redness. It covers up the red very well and it makes me look glowy. It is moderate coverage, so if you have cystic acne or scars, you would need a separate concealer. It has never broken me out. So, if you have uneven skin tone and want moderate coverage and you are NC15 or darker and you want a glowy look then this foundation is for you. However, if you are lighter than NC15, want full coverage, or a matte look, then this foundation is not for you. I think it is on the expensive side of a drugstore foundation, but I buy it during sales and I think it is high end quality. It lasts all day for me. I have to remove it at night very well. The only thing I have to say about it that is bad (other than the 13 dollar price tag) is it is a jar and I wish it had a pump but I just pour a little bit out to keep it sanitary.
EDIT 12/10/2012: Still an HG Product for me
EDIT 1/8/2013: still hg for me!

I bought this based on reviews thinking it would give me a "dewy" finish but on my skin it does not. It's more matt looking on me which on older, drier skin is not what i was going for. The color 60 was a good choice, the finish was sheer but I prefer a dewier finish so I'll stick with my Clinique Even Better foundation.

NC15, normal/dry skin with the occasional breakout and post-acne marks. I wear Classic Ivory, and while it matches my undertones pretty well, it's just a hair too dark. I combat this by making sure it's well-blended on my neck and hairline, and it's passable then.
Pros:
- gorgeous, healthy-looking finish, like the name says. Your-skin-but-better type of coverage. More coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but not full coverage by any means. Buildable to medium coverage, in my opinion.
- some foundations really emphasize my dry patches after a few hours of wear, this one doesn't.
- non-offensive smell
- spf 20
Cons:
- the bottle doesn't have a pump, which, for one of the pricier drugstore foundations, is kind of a bummer
- wear time isn't fantastic. I don't have oily skin, but I do get too shiny for my liking after about 5 hours, touch ups are definitely necessary to make it through the day.
I love the way this looks and photographs, but because it doesn't last that well on my skin, I just don't reach for it most days. On my work days, I like something with a little more staying power. This is great for days off, running errands etc. Or the days where I don't mind blotting/powdering a couple of times. Overall I'd give this a 3.75 out of 5.

If you have experienced breakouts after using this foundation, notice that it contains Ethy Palmitate. That is highly acnegenic. Google it and see for your self. This might be the problem.

This product does give a natural dewy finish and it has buildable coverage. The color does blend well into my skin and evens it out well and it lasts well throughout the day without becoming ashy or creasing. But for me, it is just a little too glowy. I prefer a little more matte finish. I have found that it works great and stays all day if i apply a shear dusting of NYX High Def matte not flat powder foundation over it. I tried using my MAC mineralized skin finish over it and that was a bomb.

I loved this foundation so much!! If you like to stay matte I would not recommend it since it gives off a very nice natural looking glow. At first I hated it because I was applying it with a brush, but once I used a sponge it worked much better. I love how you can hardly tell its there because it is so light. It has medium coverage- redness and small veins or acne is covered but not completely concealed. My acne started clearing up within a day or two of using this product. I will definitely repurchase this.

If you like your face matte please do not buy this! When i put it on my face it feels greasy and shiny. It's easy to blend & the coverage is medium but after 30 minutes it melts off & your are left with nothing even if I powder to set and I have tried different powders it doesn't work. It is also pricey compared to other drugstore brands that work 10 times better. Another thing I need to mention is the horrible color selection. I am a NC35 and I wear #60 which is one of the darkest shades and it still looks very pale on me. In the bottle and when you pour it out it looks dark but when I blend it on my face it gets very light I don't know why. It might be due to the spf. If your skin tone is darker than a NC35 it will be difficult to find your shade. I hate throwing away makeup so I only use this when I go to the beach & I know my makeup will melt off anyway. Will never ever repurchase!!

After my neutrogena skin clearing makeup ran out, I decided to look for something that was less drying. The search for a new foundation lead me back to the same brand, with a product that works wonders for other people, but on me, it leaves a lot to be desired.
This foundation gives beautiful coverage, it matches my skintone, and it gives a nice dewy finish to my skin (in places). I don't notice that it breaks me out all too much, but there is one problem with this, and it defeats the whole purpose of my wanting to find another foundation.
My face flakes so much when I wear this.
I'm not sure why it makes them so apparent, because I moisturize before wearing this. But, as soon as I apply near my lower cheeks and mouth, flakes appear.
I know my combo skin is due to acne medication, but I can wear say, concealers that aren't mean to be dewy or anything, and you can't tell they are there.
I have to finish up this foundation, because I don't want to waste it. I usually do this by mixing it with my moisturizer. I still hate that I can't just use it regularly. :(

I have a hard time finding foundations that are light enough and pink-toned enough for my skin, especially in the winter. Neutrogena has always been the one drugstore brand that worked with my skin tone and wasn’t too yellow. Recently I bought a new jar after spending most of the summer wearing tinted moisturizer from other brands, and although the color was fine, I noticed that I was breaking out a lot on the days after I used the foundation. I don’t know if this is due to a change in the formulation or a change in my skin care routine, but I am unlikely to repurchase.

I ended up trying this foundation because I'd heard it was the drugstore equivalent to NARS Sheer Glow. I've never tried SG, but I don't really think I want to after my experience with Neutrogena's Healthy Skin. The coverage was medium, and it looked good initially, but it just couldn't hold up to the oilyness of my skin. My skin is super oily after coming off the pill, so after a couple of hours, it really started to break the foundation down, and it would slide across my face. While that was enough of a deal breaker for me, the real kicker is that it breaks me out. I didn't want to believe it was the culprit, so I kept on using it, but once I discontinued use, I didn't break out nearly as often. I also had a decent, but not great color match. No shades were yellow enough for me. I'm sad that this didn't work out because I really hoped to like it, but I've discovered that I need a long-wearing type foundation now that my skin has changed.

I can't understand this product. I could not believe it being sooo bad. Maybe I got some faulty or fake one (Was purchasing from eBay).
It felt like a mask, looked cakey, oxidized like crazy. Turned to be 3 shades darker 3 minutes after applied. I itched and scratched severely. And I never experienced any reactions to products.
It was a nightmare.

This is by far my favorite foundation because it is so smooth and sheer. I apply with a damp sponge and my skin just feels amazing. I don't have acne or bad skin at all, so I only use it because I like the way it feels, not for any added benefit other than that.
