This product really isn't suitable for younger crowd because it is just too moisturizing. I love that this is fragrance free. However, it is rather expensive. The packaging should have been better because I was not able to pump out the last bit of the product due to it's design.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation out there that people have fallen victim to regarding the mineral oil in this product. Just because mineral oil is derived from the same source as gasoline does not mean that they are at all related. Evidence has shown all over the internet that mineral oil can be very beneficial and moisturizing for your skin. Just thought I'd get this out of the way so no one would see any other reviews involving this misinformation. Now on with the review.

I really enjoy this moisturizer as a day time moisturizer in every season except for winter. I use this in the day only because no matter what time of year, my dry skin needs more 'umph' at night time and less for during the day to help makeup stay on combined with the fact that during the day my skin is producing a lot of its own moisture. It for me is the perfect 'no frill's moisturizer. It moisturizes, is unscented, costs next to nothing for the amount you get, is good quality and really smooths your skin out which was one of the most pleasant surprises for me. Somehow this moisturizer has the same effect on your skin as a foundation primer. Your skin just feels smooth and even which is so luxurious. My only real complaint about the product is that is has no spf in it. Since I use this moisturizer for the day time I find it irritating that it does not include spf- I have to add it into my routine. I'm an 'all in one' product type of gal so that certainly doesn't thrill me. Overall I really do enjoy this as a solid day time moisturizer. If you have really dry, peeling skin like myself you will definitely need a separate night time moisturizer to help you out but it will serve you well during the day. I would recommend this mainly for normal/combo skin but you could make this work for dry skin and potentially dehydrated, oily skin.

Since my skyn needs a little more moisture here in the winter time, I decided to try this product. After the first day of using it I noticed small red bumps (a rash) around my jaw/chin and cheeks, but they were not too bad. But then after the second day of using the Dramatically Different, the rash had gotten a lot more visible and my skin felt very uneven in texture and itchy, and the rash had spread to around my eyes and the top of my cheekbones too. I'm not sure if the sample I got was expired, because it did smell a little weird, but since Clinique is all about that 100% fragrance free, I thought that it might just have been the smell of the actual iingredients. However, the third day (today) I didn't use it, and the rash has already calmed down a bit. Again, it could be the product being too old, but I am not going to take the risk and buy this again.

Bought this as part of 3 step programme. Whenever I use this I get a terrible spot breakout (acne) all over, which is unusual for me. Would not recommend for combination/acne prone skin. Would not use again.

My advice is definitely sample this product before spending a lot of money on it.

This product is for someone like me that has super dry skin! Its a really good one but for half the cost and same effect I could get my L'Oreal collagen and It work better.. If you have the extra money try it out or go to your local clinique cabinet and get a sample

[[[ EDIT: after a months this broke me out horribly !!!! :-( ]]]

Not sure why this product is getting so much hate.
One of the ingredients is Mineral Oils, which is hydrating, cleansing and good for your skin. Some brands even sell completely sets of Mineral Oil products!

I love how this sinks in my sensitive, acne, dehydrated skin and makes it look calm and flawless.

Yes it's expensive, but atleast you can be sure there's not too much rubbish put into this cream.

It does what it claims!

ahem,

'Clinique un-dramatically different un-moisturizing lotion'
'Clinique dramatically different but only in colour demoisturizing lotion'

Use this quick- after burning your face off with a Clinique toner of your choice.

I haven't bought this, just sampled and looked at the ingredients. It feels ok to me, I'm only reviewing it because it seems worth pointing out that this expensive little product is water, mineral oil/vaseline, sesame oil and a bunch of parabens. Keep it simple I guess...

To be honest.. I expected more for something that cost me £30! I definitely did NOT see a dramatic difference, and yesterday I bought Nivea Soft moisturising cream for about £2 - I've woken up this morning and felt compelled to write this review as my skin is softer and feels plumper and fresher than it ever has whilst using Clinique Dramatically Different!

Maybe this would be good for somebody who doesn't like the dewy, hydrated look - but I really do like that radiant glow, and I've just never achieved that with Clinique.

I'm giving a 4 for packaging due to the fact that I really like the look of the bottle - it does look expensive, and you can tell it's made well. The pump is really good as you can use half pumps (I find that one pump isn't enough, and two pumps is too much with this product).

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this moisturiser as, for me, it's very over priced (and I only use high end products, so I know what is worth the money and what isn't). It doesn't do a good enough job, my face often still feels tight after I've applied it, and in the morning there are no signs that it's nourished my skin in any way. Go and get yourselves some Nivea!

I first tried it in travel size which came with 3 step skin care set. It didn't seem to work for me at first, while my skin was too dry and peeling off due to bad weather. It didn't feel like enough. But after keeping on using it, I really ended up loving this. The lotion gets absorbed into my skin perfectly without leaving a greasy feel. I also love the fact it is scent-free. I can't stand a lot of scents, especially when I need to apply it all over my face. (That's why I really love Clinique!) After finishing the travel size, I ended up getting the biggest size of this lotion which has a pump on top. It's really a great package. All I need is two squeezes and it's all clear and tidy. <3

I finished that aswell. Now I'm trying another facial moisturiser from Body Shop (because I wanted to finish it before purchasing another), but I am missing my DDML dearly. ;_;

Im very surprised at the amount of negative reviews about this lotion! I've been using this for about 2 months now in the AM and PM and I'm very happy with it.

I have combination skin, I'm prone to breakouts and my skin is very sensitive. I find that this lotion feels light, soaks in rather quickly and moisturizes without leaving my skin feeling heavy, oily or without appearing shiny.

I only need about 1.5 pumps for my entire face and neck. My skin feels more balanced now after 2 months of use. I find that my face isn't shiny by noon every day, the flakiness of my forehead is gone and I've had a huge decrease in breakouts.

I've used this in the cold, dry winter (-45 w/ the windchill) and on vacation somewhere tropical for a couple weeks and it was great on my skin in both climates.

I would recommend picking this up from somewhere like Sephora that has a fantastic return policy since there are a lot of negative reviews. That way you can try it out for a few weeks and return it if you don't like it!
For myself, this will definitely be a repurchase.

I got this in a minisize from the 3 step system. What I do like about it, is that it dries super quick and doesn't leave your skin oily. Perfect if you have oily skin or it's summer time. i have combinated dry skin, which means that I can break out and be a little shiny in my t zone, but also have really dry cheeks. And since it's winter and freaking freezing where I live, my skin i soo dry. this moisturizer doesn't give me enough moisturize and it's too expensive and really runny in consistensy.. Overall an okay good product.

I always thought this was the most overrated moisturizer of all time. It's all mineral oil and doesn't moisturize at all, especially if you are over 40. I never understood the price either, and a testament to this is you often get a mini bottle of this stuff as a free gift at the Clinique counter. I usually throw them away, because I can give them away. Don't waste your money and if you are still curious, chances are you have a friend who has an unused bottle laying around!

I LOVE this product! It is the perfect consistency. It's light, which is very important to me in a facial moisturizer, but it also has a slight pull to it, making your skin feel a bit tighter. The only downside is that it has no sun protection, but, to me, it's worth the risk.

I honestly don't think I look good in the morning until I put this lotion on.

I really don't get why people don't give this moisturizer more love. This is the one and only facial moisturizer which does not leave me greasy and full of acne. I use this product in the morning and before bed every night. It leaves my skin very smooth and supple...but never oily. Without a doubt the best moisturizer I've ever used.

One of the worst moisturizers I have tried! I have very dry skin and get loads of dry patches on my forehead and around my nose. I tried this moisturizer as my mum said she uses it and loves it. As soon as I applied it it felt cakey on my face and I hated the feeling. When I woke up the next morning my skin was still very dry and the moisturizer had done nothing for it. Wouldn't repurchase this as it is also quite expensive and there are so many better moisturizers which are much much cheaper!

Love this stuff. I still need an oil like coconut or jojoba mixed in during the winter because I have incredibly dry skin and am a Retin A user. But this is by far my favorite moisturizer. It doesn't irritate my skin and doesn't feel too heavy but makes my skin feel nice.
