A tiny package with a whopping pricetag (US$32.60), but I felt it was well worth the investment. I needed to go a shade darker after spending much time in the beach (I'm a 32 yr old MMM, asian with light olive combination skin), and thank God, Shu Uemura had a lot of shades to complement a spectrum of skintones. The salesgirl chose a 6YR medium for me.
At first I was put off by the ordinary-looking (read: plain) case, considering how cosmetic companies would invest A LOT on packaging then make you pay the price. But hey, the compact size really fits into the tiniest purses!! And how can I complain when its lasted me for over a year, without turning rancid at all (I live in Manila where the warm weather can easily change the cosmetics' composition)!
I realized that the texture was perfect for my needs! Ive been a concealer freak for 10 yrs now. I mostly put it on my dark undereyes, at the sides of my nose, and on my browbones, and on top of my nose. Shu glided on and blended easily, is creamy without being too heavy, thus blended well on my then-dry skin. It didn't settle into the creases or shift around like other brands. I couldn't believe it gave a flawless finish. Even on sticky summer days, it went on well and smooth. It really looks fab after being dusted over with powder, and it STAYS PUT for hours. I felt my eyes looked so much brighter and younger after! At the EOD, I just have to powder on a bit, and it looks as refreshed again. You just have to use either your ring or pinky finger to dab on the product, and blend away.
I'm so happy with this, that I'm willing to get another tiny tub again. If only the price weren't too much... but then again, its quality that you're paying for.

Well this has been a staple in my make up kit ever since I fell in love with it over a year ago. I am in my 3rd round so far and it has so far not let me down... as the sales consultant advised me, many people make ths mistake of going a shade or 2 lighter than their skin colour and she advised me to go a shade darker and it was excellent!! I no longer have the scary "bright undereye" effect and instead I take extra care to blend it well with my concealer - the effect..? It's good bye to dark eye rings for me. It works just as well as a concealer for blothy red partf of my face as well... I'll blend it in to reduce the redness and uneven skin tone and they work as well :)

I usually don't wear concealer, but this past summer, my undereye circles were at its worst! :( I'm asian, NC30/C3 with blue-ish purple under my eyes, mostly just on the bottom inner corner of my eyes, and i had a wonderful Shu sales person help me pick a cover up shade. She chose this in 7YR medium, which looks extremely orangey, but surprisingly, this counteracted the blue and neutralized it to match my yellow/olive skin well :) I would say this is a TOUCH too dark though, a lighter version would have been better. The texture is dry and concentrated, but i always mix this with a little bit of eyecream to make it glide on nicer :) I'm such a huge fan of it, i picked up a backup :)

I absolutely adore this concealer! I got this over the weekend and was using a liquid for undereye (Dior Anti-Fatigue) and Becca for the rest of the face. I still love both, but the consistency of this concealer is absolutely amazing. Like all Shu products the weight is next to nothing, but the formula is highly highly pigmented. It is the most "efficient" makeup line on the market. This concealer does not crease, settle into fine lines or "create" fine lines, does not cake up or ball up on raised blemishes, spreads very easily and melts immediately into the skin covering all desired.

this review is for the flip top shu uemura pro concealor in white. it retails for SGD43.
initially i was a bit put off since it is very expensive for such a small item (its approximately the size of shu's eyeshadows, but just a tad bigger) but after the SA tried to convince me its one of their best sellers and all that, and since i really was looking for something to keep my e/s on, i decided to give it a go.
verdict : excellent!
the first time i used it, i think i applied it around say 4pm, then i went to town, and then to a barbeque so i only returned home around 9.30am or something like that the next day. to my absolute amazement, my eyeshadow was still looking as good as it did when i first applied it. it didnt crease at all, and i didnt see all that oily mess i usually see on my eyes. so i was like bowled over. subsequent applications showed that, that first time wasnt a fluke or anything like that, so i'm sold.
where mac paints and ordinary concealors as an e/s base all failed for me, this is definitely a winner since with my oily lids, all e/s (regardless of whether its shu, mac, stila, nars) all start to crease within 4-5 hours.
you just need a little product each time, so i think it'll last for pretty long. it also helps make the e/s colour stay true-er to its original colour, in addition to helping it last.
the only downside is, you have to leave it in its original container and keep the lid shut properly or it will dry out - which is a bummer as i would have very much liked to place it together with my shu e/s in a palette for convenience sake.

If you have got pretty bad dark undereye cirlces, this might be for you. I got this in the corrector shade for this particular purpose & it did do a farily good job when used with my concealer. However, I realised that when I had worse dark circles, as in really bad undereye crcles, this product doesn't seem to work as well anymore. Besides, I found that it was hard to apply & I seem to be tugging hard at my eyes when I was applying. It was costly too. Also, the flap that flips the corrector open tends to not be able to close properly after a while. In fact, I had to use some tape to tape the flap to prevent it from opening itself when not in use. Will not be repurchasing. Instead, I will be trying MAC's select coverup next. It's cheaper too...

I got is as a recommended product to conceal my dark under eye circles. It is drying and cakey. It brings out all my fine lines making me look 10 years older! So dissapointed. It is perhaps ok for zits but not for under eye area.

i loved how this concealor worked so well on me at the counter at barneys, so i had to buy it. its thick but not cakey, and works well on both undereye circles or blemishes. it is a bit hard to use on the undereye, so use moistuizer first to help it glide on smoothly. and i love the clear packaging.

this is a pretty good concealer. price is alrite i paid rm90 in malysia. the colour selection totally sucks. they've got the weirdest colour selection ever. difficult to get a shade that would fit most ppl. so the coverage for this is pretty good. but it can be a bit dry around the undereye circle area. i don't like the packaging, looks to cheap, but looks very clean and fresh. overall pretty good product.

I recently switched to using Shu 5-Yr Medium Light Pro Concealer, after having used Bobbi Brown stick foundation for years as a concealer. I don't use foundation - just concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and anywhere my skin tone needs evening/perfecting.
Overall, I think the Shu concealer is great. I either apply with my finger or the Shu Nylon 12 brush, and if you apply in thin layers and blend the edges well, you can achieve a flawless look easily. If you cake too much on at once, then lines may show up, as it does for eyeshadow.
I don't find the concealer to gather much dirt - if your fingers and brushes are always clean, and you keep the lid closed, then it should stay relatively clean.
i like the compact size of the translucent flip top pan - it's very convenient and takes up very little space.
Overall, a great concealer. Just have to find the right color - I was matched with 7-yr Medium at first, which was too dark and too yellow, and eventually was matched with 5-yr medium, which has more pink in it and matched better, but as I lost my tan, I moved to 5-yr medium light.
*EDIT:* for those who find that this settles in the fine lines under the eye, USE A GOOD UNDEREYE MOISTURIZER! it makes all the difference! i find if i don't moisturize well there, then i get caking no matter what i use, including the famous cle de peau concealer.

I'm not sure if this is the right title for this concealer as it is not written on the packiging. Just so you know, its a small solid creamy concealer in a really cute almost transparent tub with a flip up lid. Even though the packaging is very aesthetic and minimalistic, its unhygenic and gets loads of stuff stuck in it after a while. Overall, I like this concealer. It has strong yellow undertones which do a good job of concealing blemishes. However, you must blend it really well as it doesnt strtech well with your skin and if you dont, after about 10 mins it will look masklike. Also, apply in good light so you dont go out with yellow patches on your face. Another disadvantage is that it highlights any dry patches you might have. But, it does a good job of hiding blemishes and red skin which is what I mostly use it for. So, in summary: PROS=very good (but not amazing)coverage, cute packaging, lasts reasonably long (prob about 2 touch ups needed over the course of a day). CONS=Very expensive (25euro in Ireland), unhygenic packaging, not good for dry skin or wrinkles around eyes, may clog acne prone skin, has to be blended very well.
Sorry this review is so long!

I'm a concealer junkie and always finding a better creamy concealer. This one, which is a cream concealer in a minimalist compact, surely meets its name 'Pro Concealer'. It gives pro result (good coverage & undetectable, long lasting after powder, great colour selection) even though it's used by common people like me.
Not as thick as the 'Pro Spots concealer', but more spreadable and creamier, it's great for under eyes and provides enough cover for average imperfections.
As for pricing, it is in the medium range. Higher than MAC studio finish (drier) but lower than Becca (equal performance).

Humph. Seems like I'm the only one who is not in love with this product. The texture is too dry for me, and the color range is very limited. I simply just can't find the right shade, the one that I got looks WAY too yellowish, too bad the product went straight into the trash after just 3 days of trial period. Not a bad product, just not the right stuff for me. Now back to my beloved CdP again. Thumbs up on the usual sleek and clean Shu Uemura packaging.

i like this cos it doesn't crease into the fine lines i get under my eyes cos it isn't too oily or dry. helps conceal my panda eyes! sets with pressed powder or loose powder and lasts for the day. like the packaging as its ultra-portable! i have 7YR medium light but i think the colour range is rather limited so it might be hard to find a perfect match.

I am really loving this.
I have NEVER been able to use the same concealer for more than a week, but I've been using this every day for the last 7 months.
It's perfet both for undereye circles and on the rest of the face, it doesn't crease and doesn't highlight my dehydration lines in the eye area which is very important for me.
The shade 7YR medium light looks a bit to yellow for me, but blends perfectly with my skintone.

This works best if applied after foundation and before setting powder. Blend edges carefully and only apply a light layer till blemish or circles are concealed. I like it - I still have to run a few more full day tests on it to see if it melts off or has staying power. I use this in conjuction with Shu's Nobara Cream Foundation and my concealer color is 7YR medium and I am a DDD girl. *Update: I now use it under my Stephane Marais cream foundation and it is still provided Pro coverage!
