This is my holy grail everyday makeup! I have the hardest time finding a good color match in most foundations, because I'm olive but pale. As liquid foundations break me out, I decided to go to Sephora for some suggestions on mineral make up. After trying Bare Minerals and not liking the color match, the girl put Sephora brand pressed powder on me and WOW! Loved it. Great coverage and lasts all day. I apply it with a kabuki brush. Then I use the same makeup with a concealer brush to cover up any spots. Gave 4 lippies on packaging because the mirror is in an inconvenient place.

I really wanted to like this product. It goes on well, and there are lots of colors to chose from. However, like many brands of mineral make-up, it broke me out. I mean big, deep pimples that last for more than a month.
I gave it 2 lippies because I do think its a good product for those without pimple problems.

Well, I really wish I liked this one! The color matched me perfectly, and I loved that it didn't give me that shimmery look that some foundations give me (EX: Bare Minerals). It was just matte, and I like that. BUT here's the big drawback.. This foundation broke me out even though it's non-comedogenic. I've never considered my skin to be sensitive, but some ingredient in this powder just didn't work well with me. This is the first foundation that ever broke me out... and believe me, I've tried them all. The search continues...
P.S. If you have any suggestions, please let a sister know!

I use this everyday and have been using it everyday for three months and have just hit the bottom of the pan. I use it with my ecotools retractable kabuki and this makes my face look flawless! and it doesn't mess with my skin at all, just makes me look perfect! I think my skin has actually improved from using this stuff! the only thing i hate is the mirror on the bottom. on the go, i have to keep flipping it up and down! and the makeup sponge that it comes with does an ok job, but i prefer to use my ecotools brush. despite all this, its ok because the formula is great! love love love it and will repurchase again and again! please sephora don't ever discontinue this!

I use this more as a finishing powder than I do a foundation. I use the D25 shade for my fair yellow toned skin and it is a great match.
I dust it over my entire face at the END of my makeup application with a big fluffy powder brush. It brings down any shine, blends my whole face together and covers any spots i may be trying to hide. Best thing is if i have a tougher mark to cover, i just dab my fine tipped concealer brush into the compact and lightly tap over top of the blemish and it disappears! Sure beats trying to find a matching concealer.
This is a great product and I highly recommend it for anyone with oily, acne-prone skin.
EDIT 6/22/10 - I have sadly stopped using this product. Something was breaking me out and i realized it was this. Probably the Ethylhexyl Palmitate which rates a 4/5 on the comedogenic scale.

Im still on the fence with this one. it goes on beautifully and makes my skin feel super smooth but after a few hours my face is oily yuck!! i chose a mineral powder foundation hoping it would control my oilies and keep my skin drier; im an estee lauder double wear fan but i wanted a change, something quick and natural so i picked up sephoras flawless face kit for 34$ and gave it a try. i like it..but dont love it. my search for the perfect mineral foundation continues! plus this stuff can make your skin look a little bit yellow-ish

I got this in a trade and I love it!!! It's a great shade match and it goes on easy with my Posh kabuki brush. I Iike the compact idea of a mineral powder and it's easy to take with me without the mess. Will repurchase after I run out.

Kellie H did a review on 3/17/2008 that is very similar to what I'm about to say. (Just in case you'd like to compare)
This foundation goes on beautifully. It gives your face a glow, a light. It has great coverage.
My skin is not all that oily. I have combination skin that gets troublesome with makeup on. I wish I could just skip the face makeup altogether, but I need coverage.
Within an hour to two hours, my chin and nose started to get really shiny. The beautiful effect does not last. Blotting only helped temporarily. The oil came back. And the beauty of the foundation continues to plummet. By the end of the day, I had some foundation settled in the line on my forehead. I'm only 17. Even my cheeks started to get oily....my cheeks are the driest part of my face!
In flash photgraphy, this makes you look REALLY shiny.
If you have drier skin/normal skin, then GO FOR IT! Oilier girls, I'd stay away.

I recently purchased this because of the great reviews here; sales lady at Sephora picked what color she thought was best and when I got home to apply this on my entire face the color was all wrong. I believe I got the lightest shade but it was too dark and golden for me. Coverage was pretty good, I just wished they had more colors to choose from.

I have tried so many pressed powder foundations and this one is probably the best. I love that it's oil-free and is very smooth. The price is fair for the quality of the product. I like the double-sided applicator sponge included, but i prefer to use a brush. This comes is so many shades.. I had a Sephora makeup artist help me find my right shade. Love this.

What can I say...this is a great compact foundation and I have tried many. I like it because you can use it alone for light coverage or on top of liquid foundation to set it and give flawless coverage.
It hasn't broke me out at all which is a plus.
I did happen to read the review under mine and was surprised to see the person gave it a 1 without even trying it...just going by an ingredient. Not cool at all!!

I just tried this out today because of the good reviews from here. I am pretty happy with what I am using now but wanted something a little easier to use--now I use a liquid with brush and then a mineral powder. Too time consuming. Anyway, been looking for a compact makeup and tried the Palladio from Sally's, didn't care for tha at all.
I like this I think...time will tell though. I got a good color match, a little lighter than I wanted but they were out of the other shade I wanted...I go D25 instead of the D30 I wanted. But I think it will work fine for now.
Anyway, only think I do not like is the mirror at the bottom-how inconvenient, ek.
I will use for a week and update if needed.
Okay, updating...I do really like this despite the crappy packaging...I think its def a keeper!

I think I've finally found my favorite foundation. I've used BE, pur minerals, and now this. And this is it! It has excellent coverage and the color range is WAY better than pur minerals. I loved the pur minerals foundation, but they only have like 8 colors. There is probably about 20 shades for this stuff.
It doesn't have any of the glowyness of BE, it's quite matte. It wears well too, I have oily skin but this stays on well. I can cover my whole face in like a minute and have it look great, I love how quick it is. It is more portable than BE as well, I prefer the pressed powder by far. I'm buying a backup for sure on my next trip to sephora. Love this stuff!
By the way, I'm nc30-35 in mac, and I got the color D30. :)

I just picked this up today and I have to say I'm impressed. I like mineral makeup for the summer, but the powders are not really travel and touch up friendly. I decided to take a chance and I really do love this. I apply it with a brush, but the sponge that comes with it isn't bad. I do agree with other reviewers that the mirror on the bottom is a real pain. I think that it's a great powder foundation with some really crappy packaging. Perfect for the summer months or oily skin. My new HG

This is a good mineral powder. It's not chalky. It looks natural. I first got the color D30 which was too dark, but D25 works well for my skin.

I absolutely adore this product. I used to use Bare Minerals, but it got really messy, especially if you are like me and do your make up on the go! So this is so perfect for me. It's even cheaper than bare minerals. I use the sephora foundation brush for it, which to me, is the best way to apply this foundation. It leaves me with a healthy, beautiful glow and whenever I wash my face off, it leaves it feeling supple and soft!
Though lately i've gotten a little more color on my face since I usually am an R30 but I now feel I must go just a tad bit darker, especially since when I photograph myself, I quite literally look like a ghost! It's kind of annoying, but I definitely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product and have recommended it to many of my friends. My sister now swears by this foundation also after seeing me use it. she has more acne prone skin, and it leaves her face looking flawless!!
This product is simply amazing.

I really like this product, my only complaint is the packaging. The sponge that comes with it didn't work well on my face, but a regular drugstore sponge worked great and so did a kabuki brush. Also, the mirrored part is underneath the powder compartment, so if you aren't near a mirror you have to keep flipping the compartment up and down.
Despite those shortcomings, this is a great foundation for me, especially in the warmer weather. It gives me medium coverage and has left my skin feeling great. It even allows me to stop wearing concealer under my eyes! Definitely worth it at such a low price compared to other products with similar quality ingredients.

amazing!!!
the finish is natural, no so much matte (I had the chalky powder look), fast, and coverage is light-medium.
My face look perfect. I use with a brush, is more fast and natural. Perfect in two minutes!
One think very important: this powder no drying my dehydrated skin!!!! this stuff don't have talc :-)
I try the almost of clinique, and this of sephora are better.
I'm nw20-nc25, I bought the D25 in winter, but in spring I have buyed the D30. The D30 is better for me.

This in my new holy grail mineral foundation. I've been using Jane Iredale pressed for years, but this product has proven superior in terms of finish and natural looking coverage. It also costs roughly half the amount of Jane Iredale. I'm about an NC20-25 and have found that D25 matches very well with my skin tone. I initially thought it would be a little too dark, but when I got it home and looked at it in both indoor and natural light, it was a perfect match. It doesn't have any shimmer in it at all and provides a moderate amount of coverage without looking cakey. I'm even able to use this directly under my eyes which almost always a no go if you have fine wrinkles in this area. It also looks good on my large pores and doesn't highlight them or make them look like craters. One Con about this product is that It doesn't do much to control oil, so you may have to touch up occasionally. The color stays true though and doesn't oxidize like some other mineral make-ups tend to do when the oily breakthrough starts. The compact is also little annoying to deal with because the mirror is in a separate compartment under the powder so you need to flip back and forth in order to apply the foundation with the mirror. These are minor flaws however and do not detract from this foundation at all.
Overall, a great product, I'll definitely be stocking up on this one!

I personally liked this foundation. I'm a copper-bronze skin tone, and it's SO hard to find my tone reflected in a mineral compact. I found it in this! I was so happy at Sephora when I found this. Most are not catered to my skin tone and are suited to the skin tones of other another ethnicity. It matted my skin tone and covered very well, and did not hinder my natural glow =).
