This is one of my favorite hair products, for me and for my clients. Depending on their hair needs and how I plan on styling it, sometimes I use it wet before a blowdry, and sometimes I use it on dry hair before I flat-iron. My hair is thin, baby fine and slippery when clean, but has a tendency to get very dry on the ends (bleach) and gets poofy and knotty as well. It's naturally wavy/curly but I blowdry it straight. I usually use this on 2nd-day hair, since on 1st-day hair I just throw it up in rollers anyway. On 2nd day hair, I smooth about a dime-sized amount throughout the "pony tail" section (my hair is to the bottom of my shoulder blades) and then flat iron. The results are smooth, silky, shiny and healthy-looking hair. It smells fantastic, and my hair does *not* get knotty with it - which is hard to do, because my hair tangles extremely easily. I've used this with great success on many different hair types. I've also used it in combination with PM Super-Skinny (which I'm more apt to use on wet hair, then CHI after to flat-iron). It doesn't make my hair feel greasy, slick, or sticky. I love teaching customers how to use this - it makes such a difference when they go to style their own hair at home!

I am so addicted to this! I have used every silk product out there but I just can't stop buying this one. I love, love, love the scent! Don't really care for the bottle....kinda cheap! I usually purchase the 6 oz. size and that will last me most of the year. I only use it after I have flat ironed my hair and only put it from my ears down. I have super thick, wavy/curly hair. My hubby loves to pet my hair after I have put this in!!!

I have no idea how I ever lived without this product in the past! The name of it suits it perfectly cuz it makes my hair feel like silk!! I blowdry and use my chi flat iron everyday so I worry about breakage and damage and since I started using this, I've noticed how much healthier my hair looks and feels. It does, however, have a strong smell to it so if you are sensitive to smells, this may not be the product for you. I can still smell it two days after using it but I like the smell. It's kinda spendy but worth every penny!! UPDATE: after using this for a few weeks my hair has become dry, full of buildup and breaking off!!! i'm switching back to my Redken!!!

I absolutely love this product!!! It makes my hair soooo soft and shiny and detangles my hair..My hair is naturally curly and although this is supposed to be used with the CHI i use it everyday anyway without the flat iron..It makes my curls more defined and shiny with no crunch..I can't wait to try blowing out my hair and straightening it..smells a little lile guy's cologne, but I kind of like it..Needless to say although the price is a weeee bit expensive I will continue to use this product!

Yes, it sure does do what it claims, as the reviewer below me stated. I used this on damp hair along with Kiehl's Hair Conditioner and Grooming Aid Formula 133. I blew out my hair and then used my Sedu flat iron. My hair looks gorgeous! It is so soft, shiny and smooth! Excellent product!

Wow, this stuff really does what it claims! But first, a little background: My hair is curly--relatively fine but I have a lot of it. It takes me an hour to straighten with a flat iron. I do it once a week, and touch it up for the next 3 or 4 mornings or so. I love wearing my hair straight, but I was suffering from the dry and lackluster look. After applying so much heat to my hair, my poor locks just didn't have it in them to shine and flow nicely. Enter Chi Silk Infusion! I normally use Aveda Hang Straight, and then just blow dry and flat iron. But yesterday morning, I did the hang straight, blew dry, and then the silk infusion right before flat ironing. Wow what a difference!! My hair was instantly softer, more polished looking, and way shinier! I love the way my hair feels today! Definitely looks and feels healthier...and is downright silky. And because the product is not as greasy as most shine serums are, you don't have to be as careful only to use a teeny tiny amount to avoid the grease head look. The consistency is nice; the smell is like strong men's cologne. I was a little worried about that at first, but after I was finished flat ironing, I couldn't smell it at all. Overall, GREAT product, this is a new part of my straightening routine, and I will definitely repurchase!

im the girl that had tried every straightening product and every frizz control product out there and none of them worked, they all left my hair looking as slick and greasy as an oil well while not doing anything to guard against frizz. then i got a bottle of Chi silk infusion from my hairstylist oh my god its amazing! i love it. i straighten my hair just about everyday (well ok everytime i wash it anyways) and it keeps my hair from getting totally fried and it banishes frizz all day.
keeps my hair looking silkier than even the girls in the pantene commercials. absolutely love it!

Wow! I can't believe I've never tried this product before. Finally my hairdresser, who is also a personal friend, talked me into getting it. It is a serum texture, like a silicone serum but with a lot of other good for your hair ingredients. I love the smell. My blowouts are smoother. My hair feels great. Gives the perfect amount of shine. Even my ends look smooth. This is way better than other similar products I've tried recently, so if you've had a so-so experience with silicone styling serums, give this a try!

I bought this product based on a recommendation from my hairdresser, she said I should use some sort of gloss on my curls even if I wasn't straightening my hair, to eliminate frizz. I really loved what it did to my hair, and then when I teamed it up with Biolage Hydratherapie Leave in Tonic, it worked wonders in detangling mine and my daughters hair. I really love how this product leaves our hair, really healthy looking, shiny, and frizz free.

I initially didn't like this, but now it is a staple product in my routine. I have TR'ed hair, but I like to flat iron just to make it look a bit more refined. The key to this is not to apply too much, especially if your hair doesn't have a lot of volume, or else you will end up looking really greasy. Just a little amount, blow dry then use your CHI, and you will have smooth, silky hair that does shine a bit more than usual. It does smell very strongly of men's cologne, but I find that the smell virtually disappears throughout the day and it at its worst when you first apply it. I would buy this again, but will look for deals on ebay. I paid just over $10 at the drugstore for a small 2oz. bottle. It's good stuff, but definitely not worth that much.

I got this free with my CHI flat iron purchase, and I will definitely be running out to buy more once I run out. When I use this on my hair before flat ironing my hair looks absolutely gorgeous. I’m not a huge fan of the smell, but no one else seems to notice it. I do use a bit of Fekkai glossing cream after I’m done straightening though, so maybe that cancels out the smell a bit?

This stuff works great, even on my fine, straight hair. I just use a tiny, tiny bit and it makes my hair soft and super shiny without that buildup feeling. It may be expensive, but it lasts me a long time as I only use a tiny bit. Wow, I had fun reading the reviews regarding the smell. It seems everyone had strong opinions about it...they either hated it because it smelled like men's cologne or they loved it. Well, I am in the "LOVE THE SMELL" category. I get so many compliments on the smell. My boyfriend tells me I smell like I just stepped out of the shower. My sister tells me I "always smell so fresh." And my coworker says I "smell like a breath of fresh air." Myself, personally, I like smelling like I just showered, fresh, and like a breath of fresh air. :)

I am almost out of this and I will DEFINITELY be repurchasing! I bought this after my hairstylist suggested I use it on my hair for straightening along with my CHI Iron of course. If you have a CHI Iron, get this serum. If you don't have either, get both!

FYR: I have curly, brown Hawaiian Hair. SUPER, SUPER THICK and it works just fine on me.

I love this product. My hair type is very curly, thick and porous. This is the first product that I can actually use in moderation and makes a difference in my hair which is in the small of my back. One .5oz bottle can last me several uses! I used to use it along with John Frieda anti frizz serum on my wet hair to define my curls when it air dries, but I realized that it works alot better when you use it with ceramic heat. I have a Solia ceramic flat iron and it makes my hair so soft and my ends less frizzy. I rub a very small dab through the length of my hair and a drop at my ends on each section and then flat iron it. It makes my hair stay straight longer and less vunerable to humidity. The only draw back: It truly does smell like mens colonge and the smell can be very overpowering at first but fades after a while. Inspite of the smell the product is a miracle and I will countinue to use it. I believe it has that fragrance because it can also be used on skin, but I hope in the future they can change it because I don't like my hair smelling like a dude!

Frankly, I am shocked that this product was not rated better. If you have thick, coarse and curly hair, this product is the HG. I have reviewed probably 30 styling products and nothing...nothing comes close to this product. It's better than Bumble & Bumble products and nothing on the retail shelf can touch it. Together with a flat iron, it is the unbeatable combination. Even humidity does not affect my hair when I use this product. My trinity of products is Biolage Ultra-Hydrating shampoo and balm, Aquage Straightening gel and Chi Silk Infusion.

I can't get past the smell. It smells like cheap men's cologne to me and it lasts all day on my hair. :( If I use it on wet hair and blow-dry, I won't smell it as much, but it's super strong when used on dry hair before flat ironing. The product is otherwise decent, but it's a bit heavy for my fine, thin hair. I used it a few times and haven't touched it again.

My hairdresser uses Chi products and always uses this on my hair. Of course, when he is finished with my hair it always looks great no matter what product he uses. He gave me a sample of this and I started using it and I love it! I have fine hair but I have a lot of it. My hair is below my shoulders. I use this on my hair when it is damp and it makes styling my hair so much easier! During the winter I tend to have a lot of static and flyaways and this keeps them under control all day. My hair is also very smooth looking and even seems to have more body. I will definetly purchase this product after my sample runs out!

I've been using Frederic Fekkai's glossing cream all these years - it's been my holy grail of styling products. Last year I finally bought a Chi iron, and using the Fekkai and the iron, I thought I'd finally mastered the art of gorgeous, silky straight hair. But then I discovered Silk Infusion, thanks to my incredible hairdresser, and I am hooked! A tiny amount rubbed into my damp strands gives me super silky, straight, not-weighed-down hair. Rub this product between your palms and you can just imagine what this does to your hair - it really does make it feel like silk. This is now a part of my regular routine - I love it, love it, love it! I can't believe I just discovered this now...

Just discovered this and love it! Will never flat iron again without it. The people who have not been impressed, may not be using it correctly. I put a tiny amount on each section of my hair just before ironing. And then a little more overall when finished for added sheen. It does not weigh my hair, no build up. Just smooth, shiny, stick straight hair.
It is a little pricey but a little goes a long way. I left my bottle open on the counter and spilled most of it. As cheap as I am, I'm out to get another bottle. Can't live without it!
