I love this basecoat!! I can't compare it to other basecoats as it is the 1st basecoat I've ever used.

I bought it based on nail boards recommendation. I bought a W'nW n/p that would not stay on my nails for more than 1 day. It was frustrating because I loved the color. Finally, I used the Bonder, 2 coats of W'nW n/p topped with Poshe topcoat. My manicure lasted 5 days without even the tiniest chip.

Caution: Do NOT use this with Revlon CS nailpolish. I did without reading the CS direction, and ended up with a mess on my fingers. The Bonder + Revlon CS stained my fingers & nails and only came off with pure acetone. Yikes, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing, lol.

Great basecoat. My manicure lasts the whole week with this product. I have thin, peeling nails and have to use a fortifier underneath the Bonder, and have no problem with my polish adhering, unlike other reviewers. I use Out The Door top coat and don't have to worry about chips. My only pet peeve is that the top always seems to separate from the brush, so about mid-way through the bottle, I have to glue them back together...a small price to pay for a great product that works very well.

UPDATE: I just read some of the other reviews here in which MUA'ers complain about their polish peeling off in sheets. First off, a nail that's very dessicated (dried out) is going to be a problem for any kind of base coat or polish. So you have to start with a healthy nail.

Secondly, when you apply a base coat, there cannot be any oil or residue of any kind on the nails, or the polish will never adhere.

Thirdly, you need to allow 2 minutes for the base coat to dry before applying nail color. If the base coat is still wet, the polish won't dry or adhere properly and will peel off in sheets.

If you follow those pointers, I am sure this stuff will work like a charm...hth...

This is a miracle nail product for me...I love having pretty nails, but I do not enjoy doing my own manicures. This product helps my manicures last days longer than they did before I used Bonder.

I won't be without this stuff...it's that good!

I am disappointed in this base coat. I used it when I polished my 7 year old daughter's tonenails, and when she took a bath the following night, the nailpolish came off. It's like the rubber got wet and then peeled right off. And I'm not talking about chipping either ... the entire nailpolish color peeled right off on several of her toes, kind of like children's play nailpolish. It just rolled off like rubber ... which is what it is, so I don't know why I was so shocked. Other than the good reviews it got here, which is why I expected it to last longer. I went back and re-polished my daughter's toenails using my OPI Base Coat instead, and that held up fine.

There is only one way to describe my reaction (in words, if you can call them that) to this product:

"!!!"

I thought the concept was cute when I bought it in the store. I got it out of curiosity, to see if it really got rubbery. It does. It also holds polish like nobody's business. I like white nail polish, but it ALWAYS goes on streaky and nasty. But, with this-- it's nice and smooth-looking. The polish also dries really shiny. I skipped topcoat for this last polish, and it's as shiny as my previous setup (Rimmel ridge filler, 2 coats color, Sally Hansen Mega Shine topcoat). I'm not gonna bother with anything else for a base coat, ever. This is similar in price to my old base coat, and there's way more product, it doesn't dry out and it's in a better bottle.

p.s. - I just accidentally tried to post this review while I wasn't logged in. If it shows up twice, sorry.

OK I am changing my rating. I figured out what the problem was. You can't use a protein coat or other nail strengthener with it, or it won't work. This is kind of problematic because my nails are very weak and need that protein coat. So the product works well if you use it alone and be sure to let it dry 5 minutes before you apply the color. But if you need nail treatments, they can't be used at the same time.

I have to say I'm disappointed. I've been using this with various polishes over the past month or so, trying to give it a chance. I end up having to change polish often because I'm left with chipping and peeling within 3-4 days as opposed to the week+ that I got out of my Creative Stickey. (This is using the same polishes and top coats that I've always used.) I'm going out to restock my Creative Stickey, even though I have a nearly full bottle of this.

I just got this based on recommendations from the nail board! I LOVE it!! It's better than Creative Stickey which I had been using. I just love that it's thin and grips my polish color to it amazingly well. I applied it under Essie Clutch Me If You Can and then headed out to detail my car with my boyfriend. That's including washing, waxing, vaccumming, washing the interior with wipes, armorall-ing the inside, cleaning the windows with glass cleaner, applying Rain-X to the windows, scrubbing the tires and using cleansing foam, scrubbing the mats, etc. This bonder, with no topcoat, held my polish on and I ended up with minor chips on my right hand only (I'm right handed). With a topcoat I would've been even better off but I'm still waiting to receive my Sech Vite in the mail :) Love this base coat, highly recommend it, and will repurchase after I run out of this huge bottle!!

This is a really, really nice base coat! It definitely makes my nail polish spread on more evenly and stay on longer. It does have a slight brownish-orange tint, but it pretty much goes on clear. I haven't had any problems with the tint affecting pale or sheer polishes. Bonder is a bit liquidy and you can apply a very thin coat of it easily. It dries quite quickly, too.

I also like that Bonder dries to a gummy, rubbery finish. Not only does it help polish adhere, but when it dries around the neck of the bottle, it doesn't get hard - you can just pull it off like dried up rubber cement!

The Orly rubberized cap is also very handy, and I like the shape and heft of the bottle - there's little danger of accidentally knocking it over.

I haven't tried too many other base coats (just OPI Natural Nail, a SH, and OPI Ridge Filler) so I am only giving it 4 lippies. Also, it is not able to totally prevent my nails from staining (it does a better job than OPI NN and the SH, though).

This is the best base coat, bar none! I've been doing my own nails since I was about 12 (that was a VERY long time ago)& tried countless products so I can make this claim with confidence. Thanks to MUA, I discovered it & ran down to my local Sally's to try it that very evening. My manicure lasted so well that I threw out my other half-used basecoat. It's a thin liquid that dries quickly, and however it works, it really does bond the color - right now, I'm on day 5 of my manicure with only a hardly noticeable fading of the color at the very tips. All I've done is touched up the shine with some topcoat. I also got a bottle of Orly polish and so far I'm convinced that the line is just as good as Essie or OPI, if not better & for less money.
