This is an amazing serum. I use it on my towel dried hair when it's about 60% dry. I use about a nickel size only on the bottom half of my hair, focusing on the ends as I have done Japanese magic straight last year and next extra conditioning on my ends. This serum works best if I blow dry my hair after b/c I think it's heat activated. It really makes hair so soft and silky like silk!!! I can't recommend this product enough. Combined with my magic straight hair, I always have a great hair day. I actually happen to love the smell of cologne so it doesn't bother me at all and the smell tames down after application to become just a soft luxurious scent.

I was very disappointed in the product. It did nothing good for my fine but thick hair. It made my frizzy and dirty feeling instead of soft and smooth. And the smell is awful! I much prefer PM super skinny serum!!!

O.k. I was on the fence about this product. I have a mixture of 4A, 4B, and 4C corkscrew curly hair. I've been experimenting with wearing it straight. Because of the heat, I've been on a diligent hunt to find thermal products that will protect my hair. Lately, I've been comparing 'Silk Infusion' with my 'Beyond Straight' by Maxius (which I love). After several uses, I can say that this is a very good product. I've noticed that when I use 'Beyond Straight' my hair is soft and feels like tissue, which is nice, but when I use 'Silk Infusion' my hair feels like straw, very straight and very strong. When used used with the '44 Iron Guard' my straight style lasts until my next wash (I wrap my hair with a satin sleep scarf to maintain straight style). No "in between" flat ironing is necessary. I would suggest this to anyone with naturally curly/wavy hair, looking to protect their hair during the heat styling process (blow drying and flat ironing). I'd also suggest it to AA women, who wear their hair natural, but wish to wear it straight sometimes. While this product won't straighten your hair, it will protect it very well during the heating process.

I love this stuff. My hair dresser turned me on to this and im addicted. I use this with my chi...I couldnt use any other straightning iron...and it makes my hair so soft and keeps away frizzies. Best hair product i have found so far and my hair is very hard to manage.

!!!

I bought the 2oz bottle for $11 at the grocery store and thought, "This better be worth it."

I just used it in my hair for the first time and blowdried... omg, I might not have to use a straightener except to touch it up! I can't freakin' believe it... my hair is very wavy and curly and unruly and right now it's laying flat and smooth and shiny...

Let's see what the flat iron does to make this even better...

Edit.... putting this on wet hair does nothing. I have to wait until my hair is just barely damp for it to make much of a difference. it's not changing my rating, but I overestimated the tenacity of it, I guess...

This stuff seriously makes my hair feel so soft, like I just left the salon. In fact, my hair stylist uses it on me when I get my hair done. That's why I bought it. It makes my hair SO silky, soft, and shiny. And my hair actually stays straight, all day. Usually it flips out in weird directions, but I never worry about my hair anymore, now that I use this. The smell doesn't bother me at all- I guess that's just a matter or personal taste though. But really, this is definitely worth the money.

This does a great job of making hair shiny and healthy looking but I loathe the smell; it reminds me of Frat boy cologne. I suppose that is good on the unisex front but I'm not into it. Usually the smell is canceled out by the other products I use, so it isn't a big deal.

A little bit of this product goes a long way so it is worth the price. If too much is used it could weigh hair down and make it greasy, but as long as its used in moderation it's great.

This stuff is very expensive but it works..the only thing i dont like is the smell!! I cant stand it!! and it stays all day...it may not be strong but I can get a wiff of it every now and then...it smells like a Spanish Man's Cologne..i really dont like the manliness of the smell. for 2 oz..it was 13 dollars at ulta!! I returned mine because a friend is going to give me hers..Besides the smell...this stuff works!!!!! It makes my hair super soft and shiny and just beautiful!!!...I might buy it again but most likely not...im sure there is something else out there that has a better smell and can do the same thing..

AWESOME.
my fav serum and product of all time. makes wonders on my hair! i will re buy this everytime, I must confess im using an almost full bottle now, and i bought and extra one just in case i cant find this product again lol. yeah, thats how addicted i am to it :)

Update: I hate the smell of this with a passion. It's too heavy for my fine hair and it leaves residue, too. Makes my hair sticky.
I think it might work better for super coarse and super frizzy hair.
Im sticking to my HG serum: Kerastase Oleo Relax.

Purchased this at my local Ulta store after seeing it on an end cap while waiting in line to make other purchases. I actually picked up the bottle read the back & thought I'll pass as I have so many other products same/similar at home that I already know really do work for my hair. BUT...temptation got the "best" of moi, and I "caved." I am glad I did. It's got an attractive scent to it which I had never even knew existed in these type of specific styling/treatment products. It's got a good consistency to it, and it has given me the shine that I desire without weighing down my medium-long, wavy, frizzy, thinning hair. I do use more of the product than the directions advise as although my hair is thinning I have a TON of it! It seems to be "forgiving" in that I did apply a far amount overall & didn't come out looking oily and/or greasy. So far I am pleased with it & will continue to use this product. If it continues to do as well as it has for me so far I will definitely be repurchasing this product again.

This is everything the good reviews say it is. Really smooths hair, makes it look great, terrific styling product. I'd much prefer it to be unscented, but the scent is not awful and does dissipate fast.
The best way to decide the amount to use is to imagine you were putting straight oil on your hair. It pays to start with too little (I used a puddle about the size of a nickel) and have to add more.
As I said in my review of Freida Frizz-Ease Night, I have crunchy bleached hair made much worse by a recent haircut. This didn't totally fix it, but it was a HUGE improvement. I put it on after a shampoo when my hair was towel-dry. It was an effective detangler--I was able to brush straight through without tugging.
Once I'd blow-dried my hair, it looked fantastic. Shiny, sleek, together and with a nice bounce. Like, as other have said, like I was right out of the salon.
After I dried my hair, I put SI to the flat iron test, and it came through great. The great thing about putting this directly on the hair is that there's no slippery Armor-All overspray on surfaces. (Which was my experience with Ion.) Also, with the Ion, the damaged parts of my hair wouldn't even pass through the iron without snagging, so I have two extremes to compare and find CHI far, far better.
This is only my second go with a flat iron (after watching tons of YouTube videos), and SI held up great and my hair feels as smooth as after blow-drying.
I gave the packaging a 4, not because it is pretty, but because I appreciate how minimal it is. No instant trash as with the Freida Frizz-Ease (a box and a plastic insert, both unnecessary).

Worth the money! Pricey at $13.00 for two ounces, but someone with shoulder-length hair will have many month's worth of use, and that makes it a great value.

I LOVE this stuff! It smells great, and makes my hair soooo smooth and shiny and gets rid of frizz! What more could a girl want from one product? I will totally rebuy this product once its done, but it lasts for a long time because all I need is just a little bit (I have kinda thick, long hair) .

I've been using CHI Silk Infusion for almost a year. My stylist turned me on to it. I have wavy, thick, coarse color treated hair that I blow out. I use this every time I blow dry. It's a miracle for me. My hair has never come out so soft and straight. It was pricey but is lasts forever, I think I still have two-thirds of a bottle left and I bought it last September. I bought a bottle for my best friend for Christmas (she has finer, curly hair) and now she's addicted it it too, she just uses less than I do.

I LOVE this product. I have really curly, frizzy hair which I straighten alot. I have tried a million other products and i'm so in love with this and have used it on so many friends/family members and also got them hooked. It makes my hair super soft and really straight. I love the smell although it is quite strong so if you are sensitive to scents I would be aware of this. Now I'm on a mission to find a product for my curls that i'm as in love with as this stuf =)
