I didn't think I was going to like this polish at first coat. After I applied the second coat I liked it much better. Essie's formula goes on like a dream, I'm a fan of these polishes!

Love it! Thanks to the reviewer who called this Demure Vixen minus the shimmer--you set me on the path to find this. I also have and love Rescue Grunge, Revlon Grey Suede, Essie Demure Vixen, Butter London Yummy Mummy, and OPI's Tickle My France-y. If you like those, you will love this!

Essie sure knows her pinks. Lady Like is a lovely dusty mauve creme, and the color falls somewhere between pink and taupe on me. I think it looks good with pale skin, but it would probably look better on darker skin. On anyone, it's definitely a work-appropriate, professional color.

Application is wonderful - the formula is thick without being goopy, and it was opaque in two coats. This polish also self-leveled very well. I think Essie's formula just keeps on improving, because this one was really wonderful to use.

The color is somewhat similar to Butter London Yummy Mummy (which is a shimmer where Lady Like is not), and it is definitely in the same family as Essie Demure Vixen, but I'm glad to have it in my collection.

I LOVE this nail polish. It's a beautiful mauve that is unlike any other mauve color I've seen before. Knowing this is LE, I'm going to have to stock up.

Ilove this color. I got so much complements at work when i wore this. its a nice muted pinky mauve color. When I found out that it was a limited edition nail color i went out and bought a back up.

This is such a beautiful color, but unfortunately for me the muted purple undertones make my hands look pale and washed out. I think that for my complexion this shade will be more flattering on summer days when I have a tan. I definitely recommend this shade if you have more of a tan or darker complexion as it would make your skin more flattering and the nail polish stand out beautifully!!!! :)

Love it! One of my favourite nailpolishes to wear when I don't want anything too flashy, but also don't want to just do a boring french tip. Very natural, pretty, and girly. I have very fair skin, and this colour looks lovely against it. I usually do three coats just in case, but you can get away with two. It chips after a couple days if you don't use a good base/top coat, but that is to be expected. Great alternative to the safe soft pink that most people turn to when looking for a more subtle nail colour.

This is the first time that I have used an Essie nail polish. I loved it! Application was very smooth and it dried very well. The colour reminded me of OPI's Barefoot in Barcelona which I also love. But Essie is giving it a run for its money.

A light, dusty, milky mauve. It almost looks nude on my fingertips. Despite the streak free 2 coats it took to reach opacity, the polish was a bit of a challenge, because I couldn't tell if the polish was showing up on my nail. This color would be perfect for Fall thru Spring seasons. And I would not hesitate to wear this to an interview or in a conservative enviroment. To make this polish edgier you could pep it up by layering shatter polish or with a bright and colorful french tip. While I do like the end result of this polish I wouldn't buy it again. I'd prefer to use a color that has a little more contrast with my skin.

I absolutely love this color! I've just started getting into nail polish so I don't know too much about it, but this color is a winner. Two coats and I was set. It's a light dusty mauve. It's a nice and noticeable pastel, but it isn't harsh. If you have light skin, it'll look great and sophisticated. If you can still find this color, I would recommend you try it.

This is a really pretty mauve colour, however I think this would look prettier on fairer skin to bring out the pink as it dries to a dark fleshy beige after a day or so. Sort of reminds me of OPI's Tickle My Francey. No hassles with consistency and applies smooth, took 2 coats for a solid look.

This is a pretty, very work appropriate and chic mauve. Definitely on trend because I would consider it a putty. I absolutely love this color. The polish itself is very easy to work with, I got complete coverage in 2 coats. One of my favorites from the fall collection!

Love this, a nice mauve, comes out darker than appears in the bottle. From Essie's fall 2011 collection.

I bought this polish and wondered if I would really like it. I don't usually buy mauve-y nudish polishes and end up liking them, but I LOVE Lady Like. It's a beautiful creme that glides on with no dragging or streaking and was completely opaque in 2 coats. I could have honestly gotten away with one even. It makes my fingers look elegant and lovely. I'm NW20 coloring and it doesn't look strange against my skintone. It's definitely a winner and I'm hard to impress with the Essie formula. I would certainly purchase it again. It's a color that is "in" for fall and a color that will be something you can wear year round. A great addition to my collection.

This is a really pretty nudish purple/pink for fall. It goes on smooth, wears well and the formula is perfect.

It's a little boring compared to some of the great fall/winter colors coming out, so that's why I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5. I just don't think it's a must-have and it didn't look great on me (I am NW30 in MAC for reference) so I wouldn't buy again. Doubt I will use this again either, as there are just too many other amazing colors out there;)

What a beautiful shade of dusty, muted greyed mauve! It's similar to OPI's Tickle my France-y, except that is it more opaque (I would describe TMF as a semi-sheer) and has a distinct mauve cast, while TMF is more muted pink. I have had application problems with Essie in the past - some of their polishes are really streaky - but Lady Like goes on beautifully, no streaks at all. This is a real winner!

what a purty mauve-y nude nail color! it doesn't look bright mauve on me like it does in the pics.

Essie polishes wear like iron and I only needed 2 coats.

How many coats do I want to use with a nailpolish before getting too frustrated? My first Essie polish, and four coats later, still some streaking. Blehhhh.

i was hesitant to buy this, as i have OPI's Dulce De Leche, but after finally cracking and buying Lady Like, i can see that this is by far different to the traditional pinky, beigish nude.

this is a creamy but dusky nude with taupe, pink and lilac infused together. the 3 colours mix together so perfectly and have just created such an interesting shade. i was worried before ordering this, that the lilac wouldn't be so obvious in person, but it really is.
the lilac and taupe give this nude that moody, interesting edge for colder months, but this also looks lovely in the sun because of the pinkiness.
don't miss out on this one! i literally own/have seen nothing like it.

I would've overlooked this color for sure had I not seen the positive reviews here on MUA. It's just not the normal color I would've picked. However, I'm so glad I did! Love this mauvey-nude shade on my fair skin. It's opaque in two coats, and it doesn't give me lobster claws. Such a fall-appropriate shade, and I'm super glad I picked it up!
