WHY? WHY? WHY? Did they change it? For the longest time it did not dawn on me why my pores were getting god awful. Why little bumps were on my cheek, or around my chin and nose. Sure enough, it was the change in the product. Luckily, I recently stopped using it and my skin is clearing up (thanks to acne medication), but prior my old version (I use this as a day lotion) had kept me fairly clear for ages. Prior with my old one, I had used acne medication. But this stuff, was causing such trouble and I kept using it, my acne medication wasn't working. I started to really beat myself up, thinking my face and acne prone skin was hating on me again. But nope, it was the avobenzone. It's what caused the dryness, redness after application, and slight tingle.
I still hold my receipt from CVS luckily, and when April comes around you can bet I'm returning this junk, and buying the classic. I want my somewhat nice skin back! And even more so, my old Olay.

I agree with the past reviews. I have used this product for years and it was the only one that didn't break me out. I even got complements on my skin. The new formula is horrible. I am breaking out like crazy ever since I've been using it! It smells like sunscreen and feels gritty to me. I'm so glad it looks like they are bringing the old one back!
EDIT 5/5/10 Still don't see the old version back in stores which I read was suppossed to happen in April. I started using Target brand up & up sensitive skin lotion w/spf 15. It's a dupe and has the zinc oxide (old stuff) which is great! It's thinner than the old Olay formula but it doesn't give me zits which is all I care about!!!

I've used Olay Complete All Day UV moisturizer for as long as I can remember--specifically the fragrance free/sensitive skin formula. I loved it...key word being "loved". Now, I HATE it. Why did Olay have change their formula?! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The new formula sucks! I have sensitive skin and the new formula stings my face and my eyes. My eyes tear up every time I apply it on my face. This NEVER happened with the original. To make matters worse, the new formula STINKS. It smells like sunscreen, and I mean heavy duty sunscreen. It smells horrid. It's not fragrance free anymore! The original formula absorbs nicely into your skin while the new formula is greasy and just kind of sits on top of your skin. I am so pissed off at Olay right now.

I'm changing my review because they brought back their classic gentle formula!!
I had been using the classic version since the 90's. I'm 36 and people tell me I look like I'm in my 20s, even though I grew up in the desert!
this is one of the only gentle sunscreen moisturizers that contains zinc as the main active ingredient, which is known to be soothing to the skin. most other brands of daily moisturizers are too greasy in my opinion, and kind of sting my skin.

I used this product for a good five months (in summer and winter seasons)... made my skin look dreadfully greasy rather than dewy and moisturized. If it was a humid, hot summer day and I was sweating during a run this moisturizer would trickle into and sting my eyes and literally blind me. Also, I had a great urge to scrub it off my face as soon as I applied it because I could feel it on my face. It was difficult to apply makeup with this moisturizer and I would have to wait a good twenty minutes before it soaked in... I hate waiting to get ready! 'Nuff said. It did not work for me. (P.S. Sorry if I sound like a horrible grump-- I'm sure it worked beautifully on others... I just don't seem to have any luck with face moisturizers.)

I like how this does not smell bad, is light on my face and has SPF. So far this is a great product I'll update again soon.

GREAT NEWS everyone - my friend wrote to Olay to tell them how much she hates the new formula, and they wrote back and told her that they are BRINGING IT BACK IN APRIL 2010!! It will have the word "Classic" in the name, and should be the same formula as before. We are in Canada, so not sure if this applies elsewhere.

Well if you want cheap and easily available it is the ticket. I have no problems with this product, it could moisturise more but it beats the stiinky, eye irritating creams at a similar price.

This product was garbage. It made me look shiny all day, which might be good if you were going for that look. I wasnt.
After using this product for only TWO days, my smooth skin, turned to tons of tiny little bumps ALL over my face.
this is going back 2mor0 morning.
What a waste

This was my moisturizer of choice while I was in college, many moons ago, but after several years of use it no longer moisturized my skin. But IMO it is still a pretty good drugstore moisturizer.

I used to LOVE this lotion - BEFORE they changed the sunscreen. Now it contains chemical sunscreen which is irritating and feels more oily than the other stuff (I think it was zinc oxide before).... I have been searching for something without chemical sunscreen but it's so hard to find. Olay used to be one of the few and now they have changed their formula too...it's just too bad because this used to be such a nice lotion, inexpensive, and always worked!
Does anyone know of any good non-chemical sunscreen moisturizers?

I've used this for years. I stray now and then when something new peaks my interest but I always come back to this because I know it works. My skin feels smooth and hydrated when I use this and I love the scent! I will always buy this product.

They changed the formula. :( It used to have only zinc oxide and one chemical sunscreen but I've seen it on the shelves revamped with a lot of additional chemical sunscreens for "better uva protection." I'm kind of worried about if my skin will react to the new formula the same way as the old (I have very acne-prone skin). Might switch over to Trader Joe's Enrich Lotion SPF 15 - its oil, paba and fragrance-free, and the s/s ingredients are the same as the old Olay Complete Sensitive Skin.

Love this product. Olay has good moisturizers, though I find most of them a bit too expensive personally. This is the cheapest moisturizer that I could find in the Olay line. It is perfect consistency so it comes out of the bottle easily, glides on skin smoothly, and absorbs really well. And best of all it has SPF which is wonderful.
Fortunately, however, through a wonderfully education book I learned that my overmoizturizing was absolutely unnecessary and was actually creating problems for my skin, so I stopped using moisturizers almost entirely and now only use a good sunscreen. I would go back to this moisturizer but since summer is coming I'd prefer something with higher SPF since I'll be spending a lot more time outdoors.

I love this moisturizer. I bought the sensitive skin just because I wanted to make sure that it was not harsh. I have used Clinique's (yellow) lotion for years, but it stung me around my eyes at times. This does not sting, and it applies well. The biggest benefit is that it also contains and SPF of 15. So now in the winter I still have protection where I did not have it before. I am an avid sun screen wearer in the summer so this was important. There have been many coupons in the Sunday papers as well so that is an added savings.

This is the first face moisturizer I've bought. I've never purchased them before because I have naturally oily skin and I was afraid putting more moisture on my skin would make me break out. I've used for 2 days so far and haven't seen any breakouts yet...I bought the one specifically for oily skin. It makes my skin feel very soft and not tight like it did when I wasn't wearing moisturizer ( kind of duh). Will definitely update if I break out. I will be upset :( I gave the packaging quality a lower score just because I prefer pump bottles but that's just me..
EDIT: Sorry to say this stuff started to give me white heads on my chin (which sadly is where I have the most dry skin). It doesn't even moisturize that well, my skin still feels tight. It kind of burns when I put it on too! :(

I am surprised on the reviews for this product.
This product receives great reviews which was the reason why I purchased it. I needed an SPF moisturizer that wouldn't break me out since many does-so I chose this.
This has no smell, goes on smoothly and feels very light on my skin. I loved it until I broke out after a week of use. I developed whiteheads which I hardly get (I usually get cysts and non popable acne...woohoo!) I stopped using it and my skin got better...after a month. I scarred badly because I wouldn't leave the whiteheads alone.
This is about $8 at any drugstore.

I like this moisturizer..it has SPF15. I used to use Neutrogena before and it always left my skin oily. Olay moisturizer is moisturizing and leaves my skin nice and soft..it doesnt make my face oily at all..maybe little bit on my t-zone..but thats how my skin is I believe..overall this product is good..its a very good everyday moisturizer
