I now have patches of my legs which are paler than the others because you can't really see where the mist lands until hours later. When I tried to touch up the ligher spots, it looked pretty bad. It's a good thing today is not a shorts day here in NY. Also, even though they say dries within an hour, I believe that you can still rub the tanner off your legs in the wrong spots if you are not careful 2 hours later. I sprayed some one last night and didn't brush up against anything for about that much time and I now see it lighter where i eventually did. Think I will try the lotion one minute later thing which one poster does.

This wasn't the worst self tanner I've ever tried, but it certainly was not the best either. I had good luck with L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gelee (not perfect, but still better) but the spray is quite different. I used medium bronze.

Application can be tricky if you don't pay attention. Since you can't see it at all on your skin you have to keep track of where you've sprayed. It helps to keep it to a few smooth motions by spraying lightly on your leg while turning it. The spray is actually very nice. The packaging is easy to hold and is a great mist (not like a 'spray') and doesn't smell terrible.

I've used this for 3 applications... each application being a good exfoliation, Aquaphor on knees, ankles, elbows, then a careful even spray over my entire body, let is dry about 1 min, rub lotion over all areas, and finally I'll touch up the next day. I do this in the shower otherwise I'll be so worried about what else I might be spraying I wouldn't be able to focus. All in all, the application gets a B+, I like it better than the gelee.

Now when it comes to the color I'm quite unimpressed. I am light olive skinned, dark hair, with many colored tattoos. Aside from making my tattoos look a bit odd, I usually expect that self tanner will work well with my skin as I bronze like crazy in the summer. Not the case... although I don't look like a carrot, I clearly have indulged in self tanner. It does not look 'natural' by any means. I'm pretty sure any beauty savvy female would detect it a mile away, but essentially, you who is self tanning is going to look infinitely better than tanners in 20 years. So suck it, skin cancer, wrinkles, moles, freckles! Color gets a C.

I would not recommend this to any pale person unless I was seeking revenge on them or something.

I think a 4 rating is a bit high but 3 is low. This is a 3.5 product for sure.

No, no, and no. There are only a few qualities about this product that I like but none of them are great enough to make me repurchase this.

Pros:
-Spray on not rub on which helps keep my hands nice
-Smell is tolerable
-Really nice looking tan at first

Cons:
-Really hard to make an even tan
-Streaky
-when the tan starts fading, you will look like a leather handbag
-layering does not work
-messy

I would say this is an okay product if you are looking for something fast and are desperate. I used this because I don't have time to lay out in the sun and tanning beds are the devil. Definitely not going to bother with this stuff again. It might be somewhat worth it for you if you have a friend helping you tan yourself. Personally, I'm not bothering with it again.

The fact that this is an airbrush product makes it hard to use I think. You don't rub it in, so it's very hard to see where it goes and it definitely leaves streaks if you don't apply it perfectly. The color is great, I would advise only using this on small or specific areas of the body though.

I'm fair and have had trouble finding natural looking self tanners in the past.
the color is so natural, even though I put it over jergens natural glow revitalizing in medium, which turned my knees and ankles orangey.
I thought mixing the two might deepen the orange, but this l'oreal stuff actually evened it out!. Application is super easy; I didn't get streaky even though I didn't hold it out at arms length like it says to, which btw is impossible by yourself. The smell is ok; its not like a self tanner, but like a perfume. The main problem I've had is applying it without stepping in the mist. The bottom of my feet look really dirty; that is the only reason I gave it a four. All in all a great product. I even sprayed it on my face (says not to) and didn't get orange eyebrows. Make sure to hold your breath if spraying your face! do the usuals....exfoliate(sugar mixed with shower gel works well) and moisturize knees, feet and ankles, and elbows.
*ADD*
also don't spray your feet. enough of the product settles from the mist in the air for them to look naturally tanned. Make sure to super moisturize your toe joints and knuckles before and after spraying.
*EDIT********
after trying to build a "tan" i turned streaky and orange tinted. I think the color will work well on people who have an olive tone to begin with, but then you must have someone else help you apply it in order to get even results and be able to follow the application directions

Don't like it. Bought it at Wally World for about $9. Gave me nice color, but the color would peel off. I just can't seem to find a good self tanner that lasts!

i had high hopes for this product since i love loreal's self tanner. however, after 3 applications i still stayed the same color. it's also hard to tell where your applying this because it colorless. the only good thing about this is that it dried quickly and there wasn't much of a self tanner scent to it. i'll just stick to loreal's sublime creams instead.

I have tried tons of self-tanners and this is definitely the best so far. It is so easy to apply, it dries so quickly and it gives you a very natural color. Be sure to clean/scrub your skin first and I also wipe the product out till it is completely dry - though this might be not necessary, I just want to make sure I don't have unevenesses and stuff.
Do it in the evening and in the morning you'll wake up with a nice tan!
Unfortunately, I do have sometimes dark spots on my hands from wiping it out and It also has that typical self-tanning smell which I hate... which is why I rated 4/5, but is for me the best product on the market (which is not extremely expensive, havn't tried those yet and do not intend to) so far! QUICK - EASY - CLEAN - VERY GOOD RESULTS!!!

I wouldn't buy this again because it smells stronger than any other tanner I have used, and I have a hard time spraying some parts of my body (my arms, keeping it off my feet) evenly. You are supposed to apply it at arms length and within the confines of my shower I can really only do that perfectly for my torso and back. Also, if you use it as an all over body spray it only lasts maybe 6-8 applications, which is not good for the price. I gave the packaging quality a 4 because the bottle is tapered and easy to hold, and the mist is very fine and even. So I guess if you are an air mist tan expert and do not care about the smell, this is a good product.

I don't know why I bother with self tanners. I ALWAYS end up with uneven results. I exfoliated VERY well and applied Very carefully. Alot of product ended up on my bathroom floor. Of course, I ended up stepping on it and now the bottom of my soles look like I stepped into curry... My legs look lightly tanned and uneven. The color absorbed darker around my knees. So sad....

L'oreal Sublime Bronze Self Tan Dry Mist Spray. It has a fresh fragrance, it's not that wonderful, but you really can't smell much of anything so that's better than most. It has a light texture, it's quick drying leaving no greasy film...translation, I can sleep on my white sheets without gross tanner colored stuff on them in the morning. I have fair skin and I'm not into skin cancer or premature aging, I've tried so may of these tanner type products and this is the best so far.

This is one of the best self tanners I have ever used- it gives a nice, even tan and the airbrush spray dries very quickly. I have my fiance do my back and the rest I can do myself. The color is not AS dark as the gel and lotion version, but it is a perfect glow and does make you look much more tan than your regular skin tone. I don't like gradual tanners because there is no instant gratification- that is why I love this product- instant results and it is always streak free! even when I use the gel version (which i also like but takes forever to dry and can streak) I still use the airbrush on my feet and other places that get uneven and the two products can work beautifully together. If you have never used self tanner or have used lotions and don't like them, i would recommend using the airbrush spray. It is the closest you can come to a professional airbrush tan application-but in the comfort of you own home.

I'm not too impressed with the drugstore sunless tanners out there. This is one of the better colors for a cheap tan and I like not having to rub it in with my hands (no chance of orange palms). However, I have several major problems with it. It is not tinted so that I have applied it before and had patches or streaks. I find this is best avoided by making sure I hold it back far enough from my body and that when I don't It runs on my body and makes those dark and light areas. However, my biggest problem with this is the fact that because it is such a fine mist I can't avoid breathing it in. Ingredients in sunless tan products have been found to be unhealthy if inhaled and I have actually gotten an irritated throat from using this. I try holding my breath but I just can't get it applied quickly enough to hold my breath the whole time and then get out of the bathroom. Because of my concerns about inhaling this I don't think I am going to continue to use it.

This is the best tanning product I have tried yet.

PROS
Easy to apply
Nice, natural looking colour
Dries quickly
Lasts 4-5 days

CONS
The smell (although better than most products)
Can't tell where you've applied it already

This is a great self tanner. I apply it standing in the shower with my feet on a towell (you need to be very careful not to get it on the soles of your feet) and spray from the feet up. I spray as reccomended on the can and don't rub it in (if you apply correctly it shouldn't drip or run). I do my hands and feet seperatley after I've finished my body. I find the best method is to apply a light spray, then use a cotton ball dipped in makeup remover to wipe nails and cuticles (I had no stains whatsovere after doing this). I wait a minute, then rub a small amount of hand cream all over my hands and feet, then use the cotton ball again on my nails.

This product is great in that it doesn't stain knees/ankles/knuckles darker like some other tanners do.

Overall I really like this product. The smell is the worst part as it lingers even te next day after showering. I think this is unavoidable with any tanning product though and at least the smell of this one is not overpowering. The price will stop me from using this regularly... in Aus it's $22 for 150ml which only gives me 2 - 3 applications. A bigger can would be nice!

I think this is the product I have. The can says "Pro" something but I think this is it and I think the big cosmetic companies rename things from year to year. Anyhow, so far so good with this one, I bought it in Medium Natural Tan. I am fair skinned and parts of me are frog-belly white, and in the past I have chosen the "Light" shades of self tanning products but never really got the results I wanted. I don't really want to look dark tanned because it would look so unnatural on me. I love the spray application of this and it does dry quickly. It says to spray at arms length and not to rub in, but I did rub in. I did see a few streaks in the morning, but unless you have someone helping you this is unavoidable, you know where to touch up this way. This did not seem to make a mess in the bathroom and I do not smell that icky self-tanner smell. Since I purchased the Medium color and rubbed in I think this can will last a while.

Ohh I'm so sad about this one..I reallly really wanted to like this one. I'm very pale first off, which is why I'm looking for a tan :) I went out and bought it after the reviews I saw. I tried it last night, and I literally look diseased now. It's horrible. It's almost like I'm zebra striped and splotchy everywhere :( It did give out a nice color of tan, but it doesn't even look good because its so splotchy. You can't even tell where you're spraying with this stuff. Plus, I've taken 3 showers already to get rid of the stank and I still smell like top ramen or something..hahaha I mean, I guess its good if you really like soup..but ya know, not really digging the smelling like soup ish.
Anyways, I will be searching for a new tanning product because this is definitely not the one for me. Plus it was $10 for a tiny bottle!

First of all I like how it went on "mist like" and dried very fast with little smell. What I didn't like is when I woke this morning and had patches of totally white skin and patches of very dark...and streaks. I was extremely careful to make sure all of my leg area was totally covered. I applied some more product a few minutes ago to hopefully even out this mess and this time I rubbed the product in. It says to spray and not to rub in but I think that is a mistake. Possibly why the product didn't take evenly. We will see what happens in another hour or so...I am keeping my fingers crossed.

YES YES YES! i will definitely buy this again! I only gave it a 3 for packaging because i wish it came in a bigger bottle. this is only good for probably 3-4 more sessions? Anyway, tried it on last night in the natural medium/tan. Super fine mist and the smell is not bad at all-sorta sweet and fruity (mystic tan makes me GAG). I dont know why everyone says its clear because its not! it's a very fine mist but i can totally see the spray going on and it's a very sheer brown color. it dries SUPER fast-i didnt even have to wait! did not stain my clothes and i woke up this morning browned to perfection. absolutely NO orange, matched the already browned parts of my skin to the tee. it's cheap (it's a drugstore brand!) and today i am spraying my husband and my mom. what a great find-thanks MUA members! I did not experience any staining of my hands or feet like others have mentioned. i did it in the shower.

I love this. The color and packaging is perfect for me! It tells you not to rub in the product but I like to do that. The color you get is very natural. But be careful on the bottle it says : Use before 6 months! Do this!! Don't use this product when it is old.

L'Oreal bronzers just get better and better. The Bronze Airbrush for body is absolutely the very best I have ever tried. I bought in Medium/Natural Tan and it is the perfect shade for this northerner to look as though she has spent a bit of time on the beach. The mist is extremely fine and doesn't get all over the bathroom when used. BIG thumbs up for L'Oreal and this product.
***UPDATE*** I still really like the spray mist but be very careful in the application. Take your time to evenly apply and let thoroughly dry before crossing legs or putting on clothing.
