I ordered this from TPC and fell in love! I will definately buy from the OJ site when I am out! Very unique fragrance...on my, I smell the Hemlock at first but it dries down heavenly. Love it!

First on it was a dead ringer for some dreadful 80s scent I'd hoped to never smell again. Second try, it was gorgeous sweet grasses and piney hemlock, just a lovely walk in clean outdoors. Third on, we were back to powdery nasty 80s power scent. Three lippies coz it probably works on lots of others, but geez, not on me, thanks.

Ormonde Woman: I was not sure about how I felt on this one at first. I had this impression in my head the way it would be, but it was completely different. The Black Hemlock added a little "spruce" to it...almost too much. When I got to campus I decided it wasn't for me. But as I sat in Arabic (yes, I know I should be paying attention to my teacher ) catching it every once in a while, I wasn't so sure. Someone came in and complimented that someone smelled good in the room. The scent didn't last as long as I had hoped though. But layered with lotion, it would be very nice. I wore this again last night when I went out and truly loved it. It's got a mysterious quality that I love...something that no one else would be wearing. This is definitely on my list...which is growing to big considering how much a bottle is!

Website description: Beginning and ending with the unique scent of Black Hemlock absolute - rarely used in such luscious quality and quantity - this utterly hypnotic, unconventional and mysterious woody essence is combined with jasmine and violet absolute to create a dusky, seductive perfume.

- Top: Cardamom, coriander and grass oil
- Heart: Black hemlock, violet and jasmine absolute
- Base: Vetivert, cedar wood, amber and sandalwood

This made me sooooo sad!!! Ive heard so many great thing about how beautiful and unique this fragrance was. I got the cardamom and coriander for about 10 minutes and then the fragrance just died on me.....i couldnt smell anything at all! i buried my nose in the crook of my elbow to see if I could at least pick up a little something, and I could! I got a dark earthy woods and a definate violet note. It was so beautiful! Enchanting and mysterious, Im so dissapointed that this doesnt seem to last and the silliage is pathetic on me. Most fragrances last hours on my skin, so its especially frustrating. I just have a few sample vials of this....so maybe I just got an old decant...i will definately try again. Its too wonderful of a fragrance to give up on.

cardamom, coriander, grass oil, black hemlock, violet, jasmine absolute, vetiver, cedar wood, amber, and sandalwood.

Begins very grassy, sharp, and vaguely floral. Much like a day outside in the early spring after a good, hard, rain. Then, the woods come in to make this fragrance much more somber, yet softened and sweetened with an amber-woodsy accord. I also detected almost an incense-like quality to this one. Not anything spectacular, in my opinion, but it is a nice woody amber that is quite complex and difficult to describe.

Definitely the most unique fragrance I own. It smells like an enchanted forest and I feel like a fairy while wearing it (which has nothing to do with how I usually feel). I love the piney note of black hemlock mixed with violets.
I cannot describe it as fresh or warm as, to my nose, it is both things at the same time. It is not dry. It has a faint aquatic quality (I suppose that's why some people say it smells like a swamp) but not in the same way as the aquatic scents I dread.
It smells like magic.

I've never smelled anything like this. It's powdery yet earthy and dark, and dry and spicy, all at the same time. On me, I noticed coriander and a dirty, earthy smell, which I guess was the hemlock, first. It would change with every sniff. Violet became the most identifiable note, but always mixed with a dark earthy note and dry spices. This is an interesting perfume, excellent quality and lasting power. I don't want to bring down the perfect rating, but this is more of an interesting perfume - I can tell it's great, but it doesn't connect with me, and reel me in, the way a perfume should. I'm glad I sampled it, and will try it on again, but I just don't see buying the full version of this. But definitely worth a test. because it is gorgeous.

The most stunning fragrance from the entire line IMO, and in parfum form it does not disappoint. The grass and black hemlock notes are especially spicy in this blend, enentually drying down to a delicate violet and woods blend - it's an absolute knockout, like nothing else out there. Lasting power is excellent. Comes in a beautiful white-brown satiny draw-string pouch and a simple white box. Top: Cardamom, coriander and grass oil. Heart: Black hemlock, violet and jasmine absolute. Base: Vetivert, cedar wood, amber and sandalwood.
