I have thick, kinky, natural 4b hair. I have always struggled with retaining moisture into my kinks. Whenever i got my ends trimmed I noticed that my stylist put Silk infusion on my hair afterward and my hair would be so moisturized. I finally invested in some of my own. I put it on my hair after washes then layer my other fav oils on top (coconut and pomade). My hair stays shiny for DAYS! This is now a staple product for me. Oh yeah, its also a good heat protectant :)

I get excellent results flat ironing with just a small drop of this on my big, fat hair! I have repurchased this 3 times and each time I think it has lasted me nearly 2 years. It does have a peculiar mannish smell which I do not love but it gets the job done. My hairdresser extroardinaire who I love and respect does not give her stamp of approval on this but I am not seeing any bad effects and will continue to use this product.

ATTENTION BRUNETTES! after using this product on my dark brown hair it started turning brassy(redish coppery discoloration) not good. That had never happened before with any serum I've tried. Not with Biolage, organix, garnier, redken, paul mitchelle. Just with this. Yes it does smooth and yes the smell is pleasant but so do lot of other cheaper serums. And those serums dont give you random patches of off color . My hair isnt dyed so it is not color loss. My hair also became more fragile and would snap easily. I dont use any heat on my hair whatsoever and it started happening the month I used this serum. If you want a cheaper better alternitive try organix coconut serum it will smooth better and keep your hair from breaking

This is a nice silicone product. I don't find it heavy at all even if I use a little bit more. I like it in combination with other things.

I really do love this product. The smell is amazing, like a very strong cologne. Mmmm. It does a great job of protecting your hair from heat and you only need a very small amount. However, I have moved onto the Kerastse brand, so I'm not sure I'd buy it again. But outside of Kerastase, this is the best heat protectant.

I love this product! My hair has always been pretty healthy. However I use a lot of heat on my hair. I straighten my hair almost everyday. My hair is very long straight but has a wave to it. When I get out of the shower I put a dime size on the tips of my hair. Then when I blow dry it, it looks very healthy at the ends. When I straighten my hair I use a dime size again, this time I take it through out my hair while avoiding my skalp. If you put it on your skalp it will look very oily! Once im done my hair is so soft!!! Its literally like silk!!! I absolutly am in love with this product!!! The price is a little expensive though. I am very lucky to have a discount since my sister works at a salon. If I did'nt get a discount I probably would'nt buy this again. But since I do I will be purchasing this product again! It works miracules and lasts long! Love it!

I really really love this product. It works sooo well for people who are applying heat to their hair on a daily basis and does a great job protecting the hair as best as it can. I apply it every single time after I shower but I only use a very tiny amount (half the size of a penny) and I NEVER apply it near my roots (I usually start about 3/4 from the top)!! Once I am done straightening my hair I sometimes put a really really small amount in my hand and apply it to give it that shine- just stay away from the roots!!!
I think the best part of this product is its longetivitiy- it lasts for such a long time making it SO worth the money!

love this product! I have been using it for years. I apply it to damp hair(I have long, thick, wavy, frizzy hair so I use dime size) then blow dry and flat iron, then I'll put just a tiny bit more on(smaller than pea size) just to help with any static or frizzies. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and I really like the kinda masculine perfume smell. the 6 oz bottle lasts me 2 years, but I only straighten my hair once a week.

(Gvp silk remedy chi infusion dupe)I never write reviews but this product changed my life !!!! I have dominican hair, its a bit wavy fine and extra frizzy. My roots are always the frizziest and so i would relax it but then i started loosing so much hair.i did the big chop and I've been growing it out naturally, embracing my frizzy curls. Ive tired everything on the market from oils to serums to hot oil treatments to deep conditioners shine spray frizz busters and still the frizzy mess. Ive heard of chi but i wasn't gonna spend 18$ for 2oz because nothing on the market made my hair look super straight and non frizzy like a relaxer.. So i bought the dupe and wow was i amazed after i blow dried my hair ,i didn't even have to flat iron it ( but i did just in case i didn't wake up on time in the morning) .. I wrapped my hair woke up late rushed to work and i got so many compliments and rude comments ( ohh you finally got that relaxer) and a few fingers going threw my hair checking for weaves lmao !! :D i don't even have to retouch my roots going on 3days <3 , my hair didn't smell burnt like usual from the flat iron No FRiZZ and it rained ,the product smells like my boyfriend ;) ,you only need a dime size amount ,and you get extra shinny hair what more do you want !?!. Its a miracle in a bottle ! Im relaxer free for 2years And im never going back this products is sooo amazing worth every penny thank you sally for making such a great dupe of chi silk infusion !!!!

And im not saying to buy the sally's one i bet chi is just as amazing !! I was just to cheap and skeptical :p

Far and away, the best frizz serum I've ever used. Like other reviews say, you only need a very little, it lasts AGES, and if you are out of luck at TJ Maxx or similar, then Amazon has it for very cheap. Well, not CHEAP, but you know, way cheaper than Ulta or something.

And when people say keep it away from your scalp, they mean it! My hair is long and I generally apply it from my ears on down. I always wash my hands immediately after because there is, trust me, enough residue left on your hands (even if you can't see it) that if you then touched the top of your head at all, you'd be washing your hair again the very next day. I try to wash my hair only twice a week, so this is a big deal for me.

Oh, and yes, it's a masculine/unisex scent, but that's fine with me. It actually is a nice base for when I add a bit of Moroccanoil (just for fragrance). I'm sick of fake sweet fruity scents *coughBBWcough*, so I actually find this one refreshing

I love this so much, I bought a back-up last year and I am still only about 1/2 way done with my first bottle purchased at least 2 years ago. You can get lucky and find it at Marshalls for about $15 for the 6 oz size or on Amazon. I use just about a dime size at the MOST and my hair is very thick. I put it in while my hair is damp (not wet) to help with styling and if I plan to straighten it with an iron (which I only do a few times a month) I will add a little more to the dry ends as a heat protectant. Makes it shiny and silky and I adore the smell. Smells like men's Polo cologne.

I have really dry damaged hair from coloring it a lot, and I use this after every time I shower (on the ends of my hair), and after I heat style it. It smells great, and works without fail as long as you don't use too much or near the roots! It's a little expensive but the large bottle usually lasts me an entire year almost, and I have long hair. It's worth the price I promise! Also, sometimes you can get it at Target in a pack of two for cheaper!

I love this product. Expensive, yes. But definitely & completely worth it! I apply it to my hair in the mornings, as I shower in the night and sleep with my hair completely dried. I've noticed that putting the Chi in my hair while it's wet, while it feels amazing, ends up frizzing it a bit more. I have natural smooth, straight, long hair and putting Chi in my hair makes it super soft and awesome. The smell does remind me of men's cologne but i don't mind it, I personally think it smells really good. I will purchase this forever and forever!

whatever you do just don't put in scalp.

i usually use this as a serum treatment where i shampoo 2x's to make it very clean and i then pour a little from the back of my hair to my ends. then i put a saran wrap or shower cap on and put the dryer over it to have it really infused in my hair. Then I rinse out with just water and my hair is super silky and smooth, no fly aways etc.

just dont put any one your scalp!

Love how shiny and healthy my hair looked. Hated the manly smell and how fast it comes out of the bottle (large bottle). Real lovely product. I personally have had better luck putting it in when my hair is already wet.

I really like this. Hair gets softer and it has thermal protection. I love the scent, it is strong and definatelly like man's perfume but its nice . I have tried a lot of leave ins, conditioners, treatments of many salon brands and this is a very very good product. Hair are much less frizzy and heat straighteng gets much quicker with this. They also look and feel more hydrated. On my hair it really makes a differense. Also though my hair is oily ,this product even if i overuse, doesnot weigh them down. It does contain dimethicone which i don't really like but no parabens and that's a plus. Till now it's probably the best leave in treatment i 've used, i will condinue to search for an ever better yet.

I got this and first thing I had to do was smell this infamous scent. I can see myself smelling this on an important boyfriend and loving the scent forever. This is easily a quality unisex product. I didn't buy this but seriously my hair is long, I barely used a dime sized amount and it was enough. what I'm saying is if you can get a deal on this, cool, but if you have to pay $25 for a bottle, you will find that it will A) last forever and even more importantly B) actually WORK so that you don't need to buy product after product trying to find things that work. it does multiple things. it's vague on the bottle, pretty much absolutely no directions, but you can use it in any way. wet, dry, before styling, after styling. use it as a heat protectant, as a split end mender, as a de-frizzer, this is a must have for everybody that appreciates their hair. my hair did look better after this, and the cologne smell fades away into your hair to turn into the cleanest scent, thank you chi, this is really nice. p.s. when I use this on wet braids I wake up with lovely waves and when I use just water or any other product nothing happens. love the real deal.

This is my secret to healthy, strong, soft and shiny hair. My hair used to be very damaged because I would straighten it everyday. My hairdresser noticed and recommended this and I could feel a difference in my hair instantly.

You can use this on dry or wet hair. I put a little bit before I blow dry my hair (to protect my ends) and after it's dry (to smooth down any frizz I might have). I recommend using this just on your ends and only using a little. If you take it too far up it can make your scalp appear oily.

This product has so many benefits. If you have frizzy hair, apply this when your hair is dry and the frizz will disappear. If your hair is rough in texture, this will make it soft and smooth. If you have split ends, this will help mend them and prevent any future damage. It acts as a heat protectant as well and I love the smell. It smells a bit like men's cologne but I really like it.

Only problem is it's expensive. I usually get the biggest bottle (12 fl oz for $40 or 2 fl oz for $14 or 6 fl oz for $25) and it lasts me about 2 years. If you buy from amazon you can get it for about $10-15 cheaper. Sometimes TJ Maxx and Ross will have it for half the price! I've been able to find the 40 fl oz bottle for only $20! You can get it at a good price just be resourceful and do some research!

Regardless of price I think it's well worth it because this product is 5 in one. It will replace your frizz serum, split end mender, leave in conditioner, shine spray, and heat protectant. This is the only product you need! I highly recommend it!!!

Chi silk infusion is amazing; when you know how to use it. Number one rule with this stuff is A LITTLE GOES A LONGGGGG WAY! Literally, I have long, thick, coarse, curly hair, and if I use more than a drop it will give my hair the oily look and feel. However, if you use a tiny amount before or after styling, it makes all the difference! My hair is silky smooth when I use this, and it is among my every day products.
I do recommend that if you buy this, even if you love it and know you will use it every day forever, you buy the SMALL one! The large one has lasted me (no joke) about 5 years and I've barely made a dent.
About the scent- yes, there is a prominent smell when you first apply. To me, the only way to describe it is Men's cologne. I like it, but even if you don't, the scent DOES NOT stick on hair! So that's not an issue.
I wish it came with a pump, but other than that, 5 stars!

This is a quality serum, without a doubt, This has been a basic staple in my hair cabinet for 4 years now. Does a wonderful job at calming and moisturizing hair. I don't find the smell too offensive, and works well regardless of how you style your hair. Personally I like to mix this with a denser cream such as Redken's Crema Care, just because my hair needs that extra dose now and then. Only reason this only gets 4 lippies is because I find that the Paul Mitchell Supper skinny does a better job cutting frizz and smells nicer, although its a lighter serum.
