I bought this shampoo yesterday and have just seen all the horrible reviews on it, I am unsure if i should even finish using it. I used it for the first time last night and my hair felt lovely. I am not sure if this will change over the week as i do have quite a sesitive scalp.

My mom picked this up for me last time she had her hair done, and I've been using it for a month or two. I have a lot of hair, but the texture is fine, and it tends to weigh down and get flat, and on humid days gets wavy and looks very blah.

This shampoo left my hair full and shiny, definitely gave me some body. I have tried quite a few volumizing shampoos and conditioners, most don't do anything. Now of course a shampoo/conditioner is not going to change your hair into something it isn't, but I did get nice results with this, my hair looks great when I use it. I use it with the conditioner. I would buy it again, and definitely recommend it, tho I am trying to cut down on buying products in plastic for environmental reasons..

I use this in combo with the Body Full conditioner and I like the results for my fine, thin, limp hair. This feels very cleansing and lathers well. A little goes a long way which makes me feel better about the price. I like the smell it's very fresh.

If I air dry my hair, it doesn't have crazy volume, but its not weighed down either like with other brands. The Body Full line leaves my hair light and ready for styling with the blow dryer which gives me great results.

I purchased this shampoo on the recommendation of my hairdresser who really should know better....
I normally wash my hair every third day. ( a single wash followed by conditioner) Since I have been using THIS product, I am washing my hair almost daily! ( two washes followed by the conditioner and I rinse well. i do not use styling products) So, after the wash my hair is full of body and is silky for the first 6 hours and then it's limp and lifeless. In fact, even my husband who never tends to comment on any touchy subject, felt the need to observe the lack of cleanliness of my hair. I will not be buying this product again, and I will have to continue on this depressing path of finding the perfect shampoo...

Hate it! Went to my salon to ask advice on curl definition. My hair is in good shape, never coloured or chemically treated, but as I get older the curl is losing some of its definition.

Walked out with Redken Body Full Shampoo, Conditiner and Carbo-Bodifier for $56.90.

First time using it and it has dried out my hair! It is frizzy, tangled, and feels icky.

I'm going back to my Aussie cheap stuff and the egg bomb periodically. Bummer!

I liked the bodifying results at first, but I do think it tends to make the hair fuzzy after repeated use.

Works better if used in rotation with other shampoos.

phew...i have been searching for the perfect shampoo or at least one that doesn't dry my hair out. and surprisingly, i like this much better than any fekkai or kerastase shampoos! my hair is baby fine and chemically-treated, so i have to be careful. i hated all soft, but i can easily recommend body full. it doesn't dry or knot my hair and it feels clean-but i haven't seen oodles of volume in my hair either?

I have mixed feelings about this product. It was recommended to me by a stylist and I got the largest bottle for half the price.

Pros:
--lathers really well so only small amount is needed
--smells really good
--makes my hair really soft and breakage is way less compared to other shampoos.
--does not strip the hair and i use this without conditioner and my ends feel really soft and manageable.

Cons:
--volumizes only the day i wash it because the next day my scalp is back to being oily (ends remain clean and soft).
---sometimes my hair has more tangles.
--for the price (even though i did not pay the full price), I can find something better.

I still have to wash my hair every other day so I am looking for a shampoo that will help me not wash my hair so often.
My scalp tends to get oily fast so I guess my search for a HG shampoo continues.

if your hair is not oily, then this is a good shampoo for you.

It did give my hair volyme (my hair is about bra strap length) but it doesn't wash very well, I had to wash my hair every other day 'cause it got so greasy and nasty and eventually my scalp started itching.

I personally hated this shampoo. Didn't volumize at all. All it did was make my hair totally frizzy and flat!! I do have pretty fine hair but have used plenty of volumizing shampoos that didn't make my hair frizzy.

Definitely helps to thicken up hair. Very concentrated so you don't need to use a lot. 1 bottle has lasted me almost a year and my hair is a little past my shoulders in length! The smell is nice but nothing special.

I liked this stuff at first but it made my hair verrry difficult to comb out (even with conditioner in) after continued use. It did its job though in providing lots of body. Maybe I'll only use on special occasions. Seemed to run out very quickly, too.

I switch off every other week between Redken Body Full and Bumble & Bumble Thickening shampoos. I love this shampoo. It smells great, and any thickening shampoo works great for oily hair, which is what I have. My hair stays smelling fresh, shiny, and oily free all day with this.

In comparison to Bumble & Bumble products this is obviously much more affordable so I don't have any complaints there either. :)

Great shampoo for my fine hair, felt very soft, after blowdrying with round brush great body!!! and LOVE the smell, will keep using even though i rotate between 3 different shampoos :)

This shampoo was recommended to me by my hair stylist. It was also on sale so I thought that I must try it. At first I loved this shampoo. It made my hair really soft and it smells very subtle and pretty. But that didn't last very long.

What it did to my SCALP was probably the worst pain my head has ever felt. It dried out my scalp so badly, I had to buy medication spot treatment and shampoo to fix the effects that this shampoo had done to me. I no longer love this shampoo, I severely hate this shampoo. It's really damaged my idea of Redken altogether. I really hope that you think twice about trying this out especially if you have a sensitive scalp. I didn't even have a sensitive scalp before this crap. It took me about a week to finally get my hair back to normal (thanks to a little brand of shampoo called Pravana, which I completely recommend buying!). I usually don't mind what type of shampoo I use, in fact I would say using my mother's Tresemme was a lot better to my head than Redken was.

I truly and utterly do not recommend you spend your money on this brand, it may work for some of you, but take it from me, I had it for 3 weeks, and I had the worst dandruff and open sores on my head from the terrible agitation. I recommend using something else, anything else. I myself switched to Pravana's Volume shampoo and my hair and scalp are wonderful now.

I love this shampoo. It makes my hair soooft and lovely. It's a bit pricey, so I don't use it all year. I love the smell too, it's fresh and not overpowering. Would buy again!

I bought the Redken Body Full shampoo & condition in a gift set that came with this volumizing spray. All for just $19.95 but 50% off! I couldn't pass up that offer even though I didn't know if the shampoo/conditioner was good.


I used it the same day & got very smooth hair. I got nice, plump hair that gave me this refreshing feeling after rinsing it out in the shower. I really recommend!


I just feel like that after using the volumizing shampoo, conditioner, & volumizing spray that I didnt get to get the full results 'cause I didnt have a hair dryer. I'll update later.

This is a great shampoo that really thickens hair. Polymers adhere to the hair, creating great texture and allowing for superior control and hold when blow-drying/styling the hair. The smell is nice, too. Not super amazing like some other haircare products, but what to I care? I'm washing it off my hair in two minutes anyway. So not the most amazing shower experience but an excellent end result.
