I have lots of sprays to set my makeup(jane Iredale, Mineral Glo, L'Occitane gentle water) I bought this because I just adore all of Scott Barnes products. I really thought it might be o.k. but just had to have it. Well turns out this is amazing stuff. It gives a beautiful glow and keeps my makeup put. Gves skin a great dewy fresh look. It really works. But why should I be surprised this line is so wonderful.

Sorry to place a negative review--I tried this before reading the reviews here, and I just thought it made my skin slkightly sparkly but it was very subtle. I've noticed that Scott Barnes highlights and contours for that JLo glow. I get a better result just by contour and highlighting with laura mercier powder the way a makeup artist taught me than a straight spray directly on my face as contouring allows you to treat each part of your face. However, perhaps I should have sprayed it farther away from my face. I also thought packaging was bad, the lid broke on the 2nd day

I generally don't use mists becuase I find that whilst I like the idea, I never really have time to actually tote it around or use it in the morning! This did seem to make my face look more luminous, maybe it's hte glycerine in it? makes your skin look "glowy" I think, but the packaging like everybody says. .SUCKS, leaks, cracks easily and the mister does not spray out a nice fine even mist, so it gets terribly annoying when I get big drops on certain parts of my face! However, I found a seperate mister from a store and have replaced the original mister and it wors great now! I think the product should be packed into an atomizer like the Evian atomizers, that would create a wonderful fine mist!

Except for the packaging I like this product very much. The plastic cap on my bottle doesn't fit on the base for some reason. This gives a very pretty glow over make-up. I have combo skin and a few light acne scars, which are highlighted w/any kind of shimmer. This gives me that healthy, polished look that I see on celebrities.

This is an absolutely FABLUOUS product. It gives you that sought after dewey luminosity. It's the final step to achieving that ethereal, over the top, out of this world, glow. This luminizer truly is youth in a bottle. It also does double duty to give your m/u more staying power. I Love it!

I have always used a spray to set my makeup, but this one beats them all. It leaves a great glow without grease or high shine. Very dewy look to my middle age skin. It doesn't make me break out either. Packaging stinks tho. everytime I spray it (hold it really far from face) it kind of leaks out of the cap. Really must improve on packaging Scott!!!

Ok, ok. I bought this primarily because of the mostly glowing (pun intended - lol!) reviews. I had always thought that spraying water onto your face after makeup would make it blotchy and was just plain unnecessary. How wrong I was! This really does freshen up makeup and it helps make it last all day. Plus, if you use powders and blush, it helps to get rid of that powdery look. My only beef is the crap packaging. Come on, Scott! You can do better than this! Like the other reviewers say, the spray is a bit sloppy, so if you're too close to the bottle, it feels more like (and LOOKS like) raindrops than a light soft 'dusting' of water (one lippie off for that!). Plus, the cap is already cracked, and I've had the bottle all of 3 days. It helps to hold the bottle further away, but I'm going to hunt for a replacement bottle with a better spray.

As makeup aficionados, we have heard it all. Creams that make us look 25 years younger, ouchless hair removers, magic towels that dry our hair instantly. The list goes on of the grand claims that cosmetics companies make to get our hard earned money. That said, I am still a sucker for a gimmick, and I just had to try a mist that would luminize my skin. Much to my delight, it *works* and works well. You can use this both to set makeup, and act as a primer. I have tried to find a primer that works well, and I simply can not. Smashbox used to work for me but no longer. I am not sure if the formula was changed, but it seems to bead up on my skin and leaves a filmy layer that I would most certainly rather not have. Suffice to say, I have had no luck until the discovery of this product. It does what it says. I use this after moisturizer and again after I put on powder. My skin was unreal. I used Neutrogena foundation with Scott Barnes blush in conjunction to the mist. I looked like a new bride! My skin was glowing. The trick to this product is to hold it far away from your face, so you get a mist as opposed to drops of liquid. This is truly a formula for perfect looking skin.

Highlighters and other glowing products usually do not work for me due to my medium size pores. I have tried many highlighters/glowing products such as MAC, Revive, Stila, Chanel and even Becca, but SB mist is the only product that really works in making my skin luminous and super glowy without accentuating my pores. I highly recommend this product!

Wow. If I ever meet Mr. Barnes I will personally thank him for giving me my 20's back. i just turned 40 and have been searching high and low for a "glow"....it has been quite a journey. The fine line between looking greasy and glowing is a delicate one indeed. I've discovered that lumiizers are not enough....this stuff is the answer to my prayers. ITA with everyone's complaints about the packaging...terrible bottle but if I spray from further away it works fine. Gives my skin such a healthy radiance. If this is ever discontinued I will have to buy the recipe and open a factory to make it myself. Nice job Scott Barnes, nice job.

I usually don't buy into these types of products, but this actually works! It's J-Lo's glow in a bottle!!! Will definitely repurchase!

Fabulous product! It's my luminosity in a bottle. This water moisturizes slightly, sets makeup, and gives skin a beautiful, ethereal glow. I'm in my 30's, and this great product is now a staple of mine. I bought dozens of products to try and achieve the beautiful luminosity of celebrities, but nothing works like this. Thank you Scott Barnes!

This stuff is GREAT! I'm not exactly sure what it does, but I spray it on to set makeup and I get a very nice luminosity to my skin. It makes my skin look very fresh and glowy!

I love Scott Barnes products, if I ever meet Scott Barnes himself, I'm sure I'd love him too :) However, this mist falls rather short in one main area - packaging quality. I travelled with it and though it didn't make everything else soaking wet, the bottle itself did have a few drop outside, luckily it was in the box. Now this may have been a faulty bottle - but doesn't take away from the fact that it sprays fairly large uneven drops. Yes, I could just spray it in the air and walk through - but I chose not to! At home it's possible, but I'm fairly sure my neighbour on a flight wouldn't be as thrilled about SB as I am. What can I say, I happen to love the micro-mist DHC spray and the tiny travel friend can is comes in. The luminizing mist itself I really like. If the packaging were changed and a better fitting, less flimsy cap were used, I'd repurchase.

Yay! As mentioned in the previous review, I never would have purchased this if not for the gigundous sale. But with Aromaleigh discontinuing their skincare, I was on the look-out for a replacement for their orange mist.
I was afraid this would make me *too* shiny, but it's perfect! I'm not big on shimmer and sheen at the ripe old age of 31, but this mist just gives you a nice healthy look. BTW, the trick is not to spray it directly on your face...spray it in the air and walk into it...that way you don't get splatted with any big drops =).

Had SB not had the 1/2 off sale, I never would've bothered with this, and I'd be left in the dark. This is a MUST HAVE product. Basically, its glycerin water, but the combo of ingredients really grabs hold of moisture (so necessary at this cold time of year) and sets your makeup. Tried it for the first time, and my flakies were GONE. Love it, love it, love it.

This is perfect. As it turns out, one can't possibly achieve overall glow with highlighters alone (I personally am happy with the results I get with my NARS Copacabana). Nevertheless, to get that luminosity, the "sculptural sheen" if you will, this is THE only product that I have tried that has delivered. Korres makes an orange water that is close but not as moisturizing and the effects are certainly more transient. I set and refresh my makeup with this. It's perfect. I can't rave enough about this and my only complaint is this darn bottle. One, there needs to be a travel size and two, this amazing product deserves a sturdier container. The cap to mine was cracked in four different spots by the time it arrived at my door from Saks. But nevertheless, this is my HG. I always thought that Kate Hudson's luminosity and the infamous J Glo was the result of fancy lighting but I guess this mist is what does it. There is the spot highlight glow you get with your cream/powder/liquid highlighting shimmer fluid and then there is this. I can almost see myself going completely makeup free with this product on (I currently use it over Armani LSF and dust my T-Zone with a TINY bit of LeClerc just to keep the grease shine at bay for my workday). If you have good clear skin, you are bound to look perfect with this.

This is precisely what I wanted. You see, as I grow older (an elderly 30 in January - oy) I find I need stronger concealer. Also, if I skip doing regular exfoliation, my skin is - ack and gulp - not as luminous as it once was. Geez. This aging stuff is for the birds... Anyway, this luminizer sprays on nicely (I don't use too much and I test spray it a couple times before I mist my face, to get rid of the big drops problem). It sets the makeup and leaves a really nifty sheen. So the dull skin is no problem and the obvious looking concealer is no longer obvious looking, and this is totally not just my imagination. Once again, I look dewy and a little airbrushed with the sweet airbrush of youth. Heh heh. Really - I look "expensive" and lush for hours after using it. I think I will also pour some of this into a travel-size bottle to bring with me when I know I'll be out for hours and hours, as an anti-caker. I'm impressed with this. I'm sure other makers out there do this sort of thing, too (MAC Fix+ comes to mind, as does ALexis Vogel's Meadow Mist) but I bought this one first, so there.Update
I didn't like the nozzle so much, so I replaced it with got2b's hair polishing mist's nozzle (you can purchase this at CVS, Walgreens, et al) and now it's DIVINE! DIVINE, I say! Seriously! I went to the store and ahem tried out different spray nozzles until I got what I wanted - a perfect fine misted *puff*. Got2B provided that - mind, it's only on that silicone glosser product, it's a clear bottle. Anyhoo, The length of the tube going into the container is the exact correct size for the Luminizing Mist! It is! And the nozzle fits the LM bottle perfectly.Made a great product even better! Wish I didn't have to do it, but it's sooooo worth it.

I had to learn to use this product properly before I grew to like it. I don't like the atomizer. It sprays big drops on your face that you have to blend in with your fingers or a sponge. The scent isn't that great, either. But it does give your face just the right luminosity to bring out your bone structure, a very similar effect to what Scott Barnes gives his clients (hello, J. Lo and Kate Hudson!). As a makeup artist, I also find it useful to spray on the luminizer last after all the makeup is done rather than mix it with foundation, then have to set it with a luminizing powder as well. It may not be a "goddess glow," but it comes pretty darn close.

It was supposed to give me a glow but it really didn't do much for me. I would not recommend this.
