love it! i apply it with a wet angled brush (not dripping wet, but dipped in water and dried off slightly with a paper towel) to create my wing tip liner and i'm very impressed with how dark it applies and how well it stays put. i also used it on the lower lid and i love how it applies as a black eyeliner. i've tried other drugstore gel liners and was not very impressed but i really love this product. will definitely buy again :)

LOVE these, they are my favorite eyeliners!! These are so easy to apply with an angle brush, they are so smooth and creamy and the color payoff is excellent, a very strong black color. They last all day, no smudging, and do not irritate my eyes (I wear contacts). They do dry out after 6 months to a year depending on how tightly you close the lid etc. but I think theyre worth repurchasing! Have used these for years.
*EDIT*
had to knock off a lippie and say I wouldnt repurchase (Ive already repurchased 3 times but no more) because I finally tried MAC blacktrack

This is an ok liner, but I expected more from a high end eye liner. This is very compatible to some of the potted drugstore liners such as the Jane one that was on the market a few years back. It stays on fairly well on my top lash line, but after several hrs on my waterline, it smudges and comes right off. However, I do have watery eyes and I have yet to find a liner that will stay on. My next try will be the mac fluidline. If you have watery eyes and you've found your HG liner for your waterline, please let me know.

I love this eyeliner! It goes on perfectly each time. It dries quickly, so if you want to smudge, do it right away. Otherwise, a perfect line. However, after about 8 hours, only one of my eyelids smudges, even with primer. The other eyelid remains unsmudged, so I guess it's a problem with one eyelid being oiler than the other. Weird. I bought the full size, but I should have gotten a travel size. I don't think I'll ever run out of this and I'm afraid it will dry up before I use it up =( I will definitely repurchase, but a smaller size.

I really like this gel liner. It's very black and stays on my eyes all day. It's very creamy and glides on my eyelids very easily. Once it dries it stays put and doesn't smudge. The only bad thing about it is that it will dry up before I have a chance to use up all the product.

I love love LOVE this gel eyeliner. Granted, it is the first and only gel eyeliner I have ever tried but it is amazing. Stays on all day, even on my waterline. Seriously, I put this on in the morning and after maybe 6 hours I might notice it wearing off a little on my waterline only. Doesn't ever budge on my upper lashline. Great stuff! Got mine in the set of mini pots for a decent price so I get to try a few colors :)

I like this, it is a true black, very smooth and creamy, easily glides but I have to get very tiny amount on the brush. Fail to do so and I end up with black stain on my lids that smudges even more when I try to clean. The packaging is huge though, I am not sure if I can ever finish this in this life time :) ! Wish it came in smaller pots. Staying power is great once it dries. I can not apply this on the waterline just like with other cream liners, This is the only con I think about all cream liners in general.

I actually own both the brown and black colors, and have used them for about two years now as an eyeliner. I loved them at first because the smudge pot was my first ever gel eyeliner. But now that I've been using these for a while, and hearing about other gel liners (Clinique and Bobbi Brown) I'm not as fond of these as I used to be.

One, these dry out really fast. I do use them daily, and they still dry out faster than I can use them.

Two, I think it's just really over-priced.

The quality of the container is good ... perfect for travel, but larger than other gel liner packaging. I think they also glide really well and the staying power is awesome. But once they start to get dry, it's really hard to use as a liner. Sometimes I use the brown one as an eyeshadow base, and for that purpose, it works well.

After my last two smudge pots dry up, I'll be going with other brands, I think.

This worked nicely until it dried up within months. I don't do gel liner daily, so getting only a handful of uses out of a $30 product is a total waste. It dries out WAY too fast, considering I always screwed the lid on tight. Wetting an angle brush before dipping in helps slightly, but you get a poorer application. I shouldn't have to resuscitate my eyeliner!

It smudges, dry and not easy to apply. It's also too expensive for $26 CAD. I will be returning it to Sephora.

I love this eyeliner. It's so soft and goes on really smooth. Once its on it will not budge and it is very black. I only use this on my upper lash line because I like using pencils on my lower lash line. I think the $20 price tag for the full size is way too steep so I'll only get this if it's part of a discounted set or on sale on the website.

LOVE this product!! Second gel-liner that I've purchased (the first one was Avon...bleh) and it's been amazing. This lasts all day (I use UDPP before application) and stays really nice and black (well-pigmented!) I like that this liner doesn't fade to a grey-ish colour at the end of the day.

The only downfall to this product is that I find that sometimes I'll get smudges under my eyes during the day (I have small Asian eyes, and my contacts sometime irritate me so I blink a lot), but overall a pretty good product. I would suggest applying it with a firm angled liner brush to get the best colour application for it. Would definitely purchase it again, but the container is so darn huge and contains a lot of product, so it won't be for quite some time...

I really love that this product is quite versatile. It works excellently as a gel liner that sets to a powdery finish if left alone for a minute, as a base for those nighttime looks, on top of darker brown or purple color in outer-v when turning a daytime look into a nighttime look, etc, etc. This is the only Stila smudge pot I own, but because I am so impressed with it, I will be buying another in a different color soon!

Additional note: I am a contact lens wearer and this worked great as a gel liner on both my waterline and tightline without irritating my eyes or contacts. I didn't even have to set it with powder for it to last!

I really like this. The first time I tried it, I just layered a whole lot on (it was for a halloween look). I found that layering it, causes it to flake and this really irritated my eyes as i wear contacts.

I did however find, when you smudge this product it works amazingly!

As a liner it's good too. I use a hard angled brush and find it really easy to apply.

I have read reviews about this stuff drying out. I really hope mine doesn't. I close it really tight in the hope that it won't.

I would love to try this in other colours.

love love love! I kept wanting to buy this but didnt because of price ($42 + brush is a lot for eyeliner) . So glad i took the plunge. Takes a bit of getting used to but it lasts long, looks amazing and u can paint it on to look like a thin pencil line or smudge it or paint a winged liquid liner look. Highly recommended! ***update - i took off a star because it dries quickly (but you can rehydrate by smooshing it in the packaging) and because it does not measure up to the durability of mac fluidline

I really love this eyeliner its easy to apply with my sonia kashuk eyeliner brush. But after 2 weeks I noticed it wasn't appling as smoothly and it would flake as soon as i applied it. I then realized. ITS DRYING OUT!!!! But its really easy to juice it back up again. Just rub your finger in it for a few seconds to warm up the product and its as good as new.

This is my first gel liner, and i got it in a set at costco so i think its a smaller version. I use it with the mac 209 and it was pretty easy to use, i tried it with an angled brush and it was slightly harder to work with. I always make sure to close the jar because i feel like it would dry out easily.

I bought this product because I want to start using gel liners. When I went to Sephora, the lady there suggested this product. When I got home, I tried it for myself. I was hoping the product would be a little more "gel like"; more liquidly. It didn't go on as easily as I would have liked, I could have done a better job w/ a pencil. I plan on returning it to Sephora....I'd rather just go to the MAC counter and get THEIR gel liner.

Plus, $21 for a smudge pod...puh-lease! Too expensive for my taste

I bought this smudge pot and it worked pretty well at first but I noticed it was a little thick. I didn't think it was a big deal. However, 3 months later it was COMPLETELY DRY to the point that I couldn't even apply it anymore. I first noticed a problem when I started getting clumps of it in my eye and onto my contact lenses (ouch!) when I would put it on. For the price of this liner I expected a much better product. I returned it today and would not buy it ever again.
