I have been a member of MUA for a long time but have never felt compelled to write a review for anything...perhaps I'm a bit lazy too. However, I have been using phisohex for about three months and my skin has never been so clear!! I am nearly thirty..oops, I mean forty, and have never struggled with pimples as much as I have in the past five or so years. I have spent so much money on different cleansers, creams, exfoiants and none of them worked as well as phisohex.
If you can find it, buy it, use it..you will notice a difference in about two weeks. It is the one thing I can no longer do without. Life sure is a lot easier when you aren't spending a whole bunch of time covering up pimples and I even went out without any makeup yesterday and that is huge for me. Now all I have to do is get rid of some of these wrinkles!!

YES YES YES. I have finally found a cleanser that works for me. My dermatologist recommended the Phisohex cleanser to me about six months ago, and I am *hooked*. Again, skin is superduper sensitive, oily, and acne+blemish+clogged prone. I use this product twice a day (more than that will be *way* too harsh on your skin), and for nightly use, I combine this cleanser with a cleansing oil for my pre-cleanse MU removal. The result, ladies and gents, is VERY GOOD. My skin's acne and acne scars are considerably much, much better than EVER, no comedogenic problems whatsoever, and last but not least, the cleanser does not aggravate my skin's oil production.

The one thing that you have to be super careful with, is that cleanser does not get in your eyes. It does kind of hurt once it gets in the eyes. Also, if you accidentally get them in your mouth, trust me, it tastes absolutely horrible.

The Phisohex cleanser also does not have a very pleasant scent (very antibacterial-ish scent to it). But seriously, if I have to choose between: (1) a heavenly scented product that I'd only enjoy during the three minutes of my entire day, (2) an acne-free skin that is non-clogged and non-blemished. Well, you know what my answer is to those options!! YAY!

I use this every day. My skin is very oily, acne prone and sensitive. This helps all of these issues for me. It takes awhile to get used to it, and if you get some in your mouth, whoa nelly it's nasty. It really treats the core of my issues (pores) without sensitizing my skin.
If you try it, get your md to write you an rx for the larger size, most insurance plans will charge you the same if you get the small or the large, so get the large. (It lasts forever.)
I also use this on my arm pits during the summer to help with odor.
Keep in mind it's an rx, not a luxury product, so don't expect a wonderful scent with pearly bubbles. ;-)
Oh, one more thing, don't confuse this product, Phisohex, a prescription, with Phisoderm, a drugstore cleanser. They are two totally different items.

My dermatologist prescribed this for acne along with spironolactone. My skin has never been so clear. It doesnt over dry my skin but it does remove every last bit of makeup from my face. Its probably the best cleanser Ive ever used for acne.

Out of all the 'acne' targeted products out there, this is one of the cleansers that I've found that actually works. Perhaps it works too well as a twice daily use is too drying so I only use it at night to wash off my make up. Although I still get the occasional monthly pimple, it is nothing like the breakouts I used to get when I first started using a daily full face of make up. People have noticed my skin clearing up after using Phisohex, some even thinking that I had switched foundations.

This is the only acne product that actually works. Others cleanse skin but do little to prevent acne. It's a surgical hand wash that removes the bacteria that causes pimples but doesn't over dry. I have noticed a slight drying around the eyes and corners of the mouth but nothing too distressing. I finally got around to seeing a Dermatologist and he prescribed the Phisohex and a sulfer based product that the chemist had to make up. They both work great and my skin has never been so clear. I get the occasional pimple but who cares!!! nothing to the mass of pimples i used to have. I've tried all supermarket brands, and chemist and later moved onto department store brands such as; Shiseido, sk2, khiels (which was pretty good), perricone, proactiv, plus others. You dont use a toner or moisturiser with this. The toner inhibates that anti-bacterial properties and a moisturiser reverses the effects of the cleanser - i have been moisturising in the dry areas though. This stuff is great! dont mess around with expensive products and go see a dermatologist. The money u spend with a derm is nothing compared to what you may spend on other products.

This is a face and body wash. It is the most effective cleanser for a lot of skin problems. I've been battling with eczema, blackheads, sensitivity, dehydration and acne for a while. This is the only cleanser that solves the problem. Yeap, one cleanser that takes my long suffering away. It doesn't foam but it cleans very well. It leaves the skin very clean, very comfortable and smooth. It's definitely more superior than those expensive cleansers I've tried. This is the only drugstore cleanser that costs so cheap I will definitely go back to it. It can also be used for normal skin cause it can help to prevent breakouts and blackheads. Nowadays, I can save a lot of money on skincare cause my skin has improved a lot since starting on this cleanser.
