This mascara is just ok. Volumizes, and it's black. But I get better results from mascaras such as MaxFactor 2000 cal extreme and NYX doll eyes volume. This costs almost 3x as much as NYX, but isn't any better. Would not repurchase.

If this mascara didn't kill my curl within seconds of applying it would be a favourite of mine. It applies easily without clumping, it doesn't smear and it washed off easily. While it doesn't give tons of volume, it did give my lashes lots of length. Too bad about the curl thing.

I always wanted to try this since it first came out. Glad I never shelled out the money for it. I recently got a GWP size and was excited to try it finally. Well, it stinks, One coat actually gave a decent look -- IF you want something natural. Of course, it bills itself as a false lash look which is the opposite of what I got. On top of that, it wilts curl like crazy. I applied more hoping to get some volume, and the result was one of the worst lash looks I've ever had. My lashes were practically pointing downward and it looked like I had about 3 of them on each eye. EDITED: Somehow with more practice, and plenty of curling, this started to work for me. Not the HG, but very decent results. So I now give it a 3.

This is hands down the best mascara ever. I have found my HG mascara and can finally stop searching!! This mascara, like previous reviewers noted, can be both used during the day for a natural look and at night for a fake-eyelash look. For natural look, it takes one layer--and for plush eyelash look, it takes just 2-3 layers. Quite effortless. No need to have two separate mascaras now! More pros about this mascara: no clumping [AT ALL, the brush is small, yet small enough to reach the small lashes and bottom lashes], no raccoon eyes [I wore it to sleep once and did not wake up with black smears under my eyes!], and no flaking [like most plush mascaras have on me i.e. Too Faced Lash Injection]. I love this mascara and definitely will purchase again! And if you don't feel like shelling out $20 for this mascara, I recommend buying from a cosmetics outlet, which I did [no defects or anything].

omg what a waste. I could have gotten a drugstore brand with the same results and less money. nothing big about this mascara save your money.

This mascara is not bad, but doesn't live up to it's name. I would consider it a "natural" mascara, good for everyday, but not the one to reach for if you're trying to "wow" anyone with your lashes.

This is my HG mascara. The mascara never flakes (not even if I fall asleep in it), really accentuates my lashes and can easily be manipulated while applying should you mess up the application. Although I do naturally have very long (blonde) lashes, I have had person after person ask if I was wearing fake lashes ONLY when wearing this mascara. The other thing I love is that you can apply a single coat and go all pretty and natural or put several layers and build a more dramatic effect without getting cakey. I highly recommend it!

I use this with Prescriptives Beyond Long. Alone it doesnt create a false lash look and really doesnt wow me with the beyond long either but coupled together -- it's better than using either one alone. I'll probably give lash envy a try next...

I've been using this mascara on and off for years. I always come back to this one because it keeps my lashes looking long and separated, however, it doesn't volumize well at all. I wanted to rate this mascara a 3.5, but since that's not an option, I only gave it 3 lippies since I don't get that "false lash" look with this product. If you have thicker lashes naturally and are just looking for really good lengthening, this is a great mascara.

Perfection! My lashes are so fine they are almost invisible, but False Eyelashes gives them a full, dark, lush look, without looking fake or coated. The brush has dense bristles but is slim and tapered, so the mascara does not get all over the lids like Diorshow. Wears well but rinses off easily. Perhaps the other reviewers who mention a strange odor got a defective batch, as the tubes I have purchased have been odorless. Highly recommended!

I have been searching for a dramatic black mascara for a while now and I think I found a great one so far, I will still be looking.... however this one is very good for now. I have brownish short straight eyelashes.... I want long thick curled eyelashes... I have worked with beauty products before and was a color consultant and I must say the only way to get that really great curl is with an eyelash curler, maybelline makes a very good one for the price and shu umera also is great but more expensive. Well this mascara comes out thick but thats how it gives you dramatic lashes. 3 coats of this and i love how it looks. I let it dry and curl it with the eyelash curler to really open up my eyes. The trick here to keep this mascara from drying out is to wipe it clean, the tube opening and the wand after every use, that way no clumps or flakes. For me I like it so far. I would buy again.

I really dont mind spending a little more money than id like to on mascara, YSL faux cils is my HG, but this is crazy- £16 in the U.K for a very weak mascara. I feel have short, ''average'' eyelashes, a little sparse if anything and as i hardly wear any other eye m/u other than mascara i really like my eyelashes to stand out. I really love faux cils for that but as usual ive been getting bored so after hearing all the great reviews of this mascara i decided last time when i walked past the PX counter to buy it. Its one of those products i heard about all the time, but just never seemed to get round to buying and so when i did i was really excited. Firstly, there is a horrid strong smell, but i can ignore that. But it was soooo dry and hard to get any of the actual mascara on my lashes. After 3 or so coats it did give me some length and volumne but it was SO natural and light this could have easily been a £2 mascara from superdrug. Not only was it very dry but it also dried really quick too so by the time i started to do a second, and then third coat, the coat before had almost dried and i just ended up with dry crunchy lashes. Also it irratated my eyes, and i dont have sensitive eyes to start with. Im taking this back somehow and im really disappointed :(

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara. I'm asian, so that means i have small eyes. I love the fact that this mascara curls, lengthens, and volumizes my long eyelashes and makes my eyes look open. I also love the grip part of the wand handle, it helps to rotate and reach all lashes. I think for the size of the mascara, brand, and what you're getting out of it, its worth the price. I do love the look it gives my eyelashes, even without eye liner. I do think that there is a weird smell at first, but it comes with all different brands of mascaras (ex: nars has an alcohol smell). I love the colour's too, the black is not too matte looking that it looks caked on and the brown is great when i'm wearing lighter colours/lighter eyeliners. I like the natural look it also gives, and by adding more coats, you can get that 'all-star-glam' appeal too.

This is probably the worst mascara I've ever used! It's very FLAKY! I was sad this one didn't work out.

So after reading these reviews, I thought I'd give this product a try. I have asian eyes with short lashes, so I'm always looking for volume and length. I went over to Nordstrom, and ran right home to try it on. The first thing I noticed was this horrible pungent smell coming from the bottle. It smelled like really harsh chemicals and it STUNK! Anyway, I apply it, and nothing. I didn't see 'false eyelashes' and it seemed like there was nothing on the brush! It was incredibly dry and I had to keep combing through my lashes just to get a little bit of color. It seems like it's made for women who already have thick eyelashes, not for people with sparse lashes.

Pros: Good everyday mascara
Cons: Horrible Smell, somewhat dry, and is expensive for a mascara that doesn't do what it says.

I have tried all of the PX mascaras and this is my favorite of them. FE holds a curl well, adds some length, adds some volume, feels very soft, removes cleanly with just cleanser (face wash), and is a nice dark black. I am also in love with the packaging, probably the best packaging of any mascara (Beyond Long has the same tube too): it is slim and has a rubber cap top that is very easy to hold and rotate and have complete control of. The brush is super tapered at the end so you can really reach every lash. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because even with 3 coats on it just doesn't give me wow lashes. It works well as a daytime mascara though and only requires one coat for a natural look which is nice. I am still going to try others, but I definitely would repurchase this.

This was my HG for a long time, and I still like it a lot. The brush is great and the formula defines and holds a curl well, and never clumps or looks unnatural. At present there are a few other mascaras I find myself reaching for more frequently, but this one definitely does the job, and does it well.

I absolutely love this mascara. Defines lashes without clumping without too much effort. The brush tapers really nicely at the end and it allows me to pick out lashes at the corners when necessary. It isn't too thick, and seems to lengthen, define and curl. i don't really need the curling, but the effect is really nice, and most days I don't even use/need eyeliner now. The first day I wore it a co-worker commented that my eyes looked like those in a magazine. That was nice!

Excellent product. Cheaper than Dior (blah!).
Thickening. Lengthening. Curling.
Actually did make me look like I was wearing false eyelashes.
Only thing that annoyed me was trying to wash it off, but that's applicable to all mascaras...and I guess happens when you put on 2 layers.
No clumping either. Good brush!
Recommended!!!
