DISGUSTING! this stuff does not come off your face ever! you can wash it 3x and it leaves traces. Also I spilled it on my wood vanity and its still there years later..like paint!

I bought this in Toast for my GGG skin and i love it. I could never find the right color since they would all look very pinky or orange. but i tried the darker shades and it blends right in. No oilies, no change of color, nothing negative about it. although, if i'm not too careful it does look too dark, but it matches the exact color of my arms and legs and neck. My acne scars disappear because of the pigmentation, i will defintely buy again. update: This was too dark, I'll have to try a shade or two lighter. Still love the formula though

I used to use Revlon Colorstay Foundation while for maybe 15 years. It was the only thing that would cover up my dark circles and wouldn't cake in the lines around my eyes. These lines are not wrinkles, I've had them since I was born. So this it's been a lifetime challenge trying to find something that wouldn't cake. I moved to Asia where it's so hot and humid and the traffic is so bad that once you leave the house, you don't go home til you've finished everything you need to do. For me, that was singing til 3am on a stage with hot lights. First, I would get a foundation (sand beige) that was slightly lighter for me so that it would cover my really dark circles. I would put an extra layer under the eyes and then put a thin layer all over my face. I would set the foundation under my eyes with a lighter shade of MAC studio fix under my eyes because I needed something heavy and then I would use another shade of studio fix that was really color, all over my face. While performing, I would just touch up under my eyes. Everyone would ask me what I used under my eyes. They would write down the brand and shades etc. Since this product stayed on so well, I guess it made me breakout so much. Then I would have to wear more makeup to cover them up. It was a viscious cycle but I couldn't stop. My best friend tried colorstay foundation before they made is "softflex" and she couldn't deal with the foundation setting so quickly. I told her it takes a lot of practice. I had mastered it by this time.
I retired from singing and moved back to Canada and now am using the colorstay under eye concealer. I then set it with MAC studiofix powder in a shade that is 2 shades lighter and then I put bare escentuals all over my face. Thank God my breakouts have stopped. I've read that Bare Escentuals has bismuth and may cause breakouts so although I'm happy with BE, I ordered samples of Everyday Minerals which I read does not contain any bismuth. I'll write my review about that.

Awful! Awful! Awful! I used the Colorstay 'Stay Natural' in Buff Chamois and hated it! It sets like concrete and sits in the smallest lines, emphasising even the slightest wrinkles! I found that it made the skin around my eyes look crepey and wrinkly - yuk! I'm going back to Stila Illuminating - its a lot more expensive but doesn't exaggerate the flaws!

I cant believe that I never wrote a review for this product, I have been using this brand of foundation since 1998. I used to love this full coverage foundation in my teens to early twenties. I had very oily skin, and I would wear it from 7am - 11pm or so. The best foundation on the planet. My biggest problem was getting this foundation off completely, than wash my face with oil free cleanser, use TONER, and lightly moisturize. The trick is to get it completely off the skin or you will have breakouts. Now i'm in my late 20s and my pores are a little expanded (sign of aging) and my skin is now have normal to oily I cant use this anymore. This makes my skin look worse: my face looks dry, and unhealthy. It takes the glow away, now I use medium foundation that is long wearing such as Lancome Teint Idole or Laura Mercier. This is an old fashioned foundation to cover acne marks, or excessive oil, almost like wearing concealer all over the face. If you like that or need that type of coverage than this is great but please dont wear a concealer all over the face if you dont need to. Its feels masky, and nasty in hot weather. Make sure to wear the right shade since this is full coverage because it looks really really plastic on the face. I personally do not wear this anymore, the more I wear this foundation, the more it clogged my expanded pores, and I end up covering my clogged pores with more of this foundation, the more facials i need to get down and clean the pores. Even though this is dirt cheap at any store, Its much more expensive in the long run to maintain the clear skin, trying to get it completely off the face every night plus the facials. I recommend using mineral, or makeup with no dimethicones.

I was using 2-way foundations before I tried this. Don't think I'll ever be going back to 2-way now because Revlon Colorstay is indeed great! I'm using the one formulated for Oily - Combi skin and it has excellent coverage. The colour (Warm Golden) suits my skin tone to a T and it is SO easy to glide on. I usually set it with my MAC/ Silkygirl pressed powder and I'm good to go! I wish it came in a pump bottle though. I heard the older version did.

I have fairly pale skin and as such have always found it difficult to find lighter foundations that don't make my skin look flat, pale and dull. Finally I have found a foundation that solves my problem. The Buff Chamois shade is perfect for me, and goes on so beautifully. It's medium\light but buildable for more coverage and gives off a beautiful healthy glow without looking oily.
It really does last all day, and I always get compliments when I wear it. I was trying this out before splurging on chanel prolumiere - and I'm glad I did, because it has everything I look for in a foundation and is very affordable.

Colorstay foundation with SoftFlex comes in 2 versions. 1 For normal/dry skin types with SPF 15 & 1 for oily/combination skin types with SPF 6. I chose the oily/combination version yet the deeper tones such as my shade called "toast" has no SPF. Guess Revlon decided on eliminating the SPF all together on darker skin shades to avoid that greasy look that anything with SPF as a ingredient always gives. And that was a good idea, afterall those who use a day cream already have SPF in their moisturizer so who needs a double whammy by having it in their foundation. This foundation is fabulous for me especially for day time hours since it enables me to use all those SPF greasy moisturizers & by applying this foundation on top it seems to neutralize all the sheen I would've had if I didn't use this product, therefore the end result is a natural healthy finish, no shiny face yet I look moisturized, not dry. I am very pleased with this product & with Revlon for the many shades they offer so that women of color too can use this foundation.

It does stay on.....and it feels like a mask. The original was super masky. The softflex version was a little better, but all the colors are too pink!!!!Then came the active colorstay. Felt good on, but all the shades I bought-tan,warm beige, golden beige were all too pink! If you like lines of demarkation and high water marks, this is a great makeup-you could hide scars, tattoos, freckles and all kinds of stuff with colorstay. You just won't look natural.

Oh how I miss this! I started out using the original ColorStay, but found it a bit too thick. I decided to try this after reading a Paula's Choice review and wow! It became my foundation HG :) I never bought into the advertising about the amount of hours it lasts or that it doesn't rub off. I just appreciated it for what it was: an excellent foundation with just the right amount of coverage for me in a color that matched me perfectly (02 Buff). The price was perfect and I also loved that it came in a pump. I wish they still sold this because I don't feel the same way about the new ColorStay Active.

This is a fantastic foundation that I keep coming back to. Great pump bottle (although it's frustrating when you get to the last, pitiful amounts of this almost HG-worthy product). Comes on nice and smoothly, good medium coverage. Easy to blend with others. Great value for the price. Definitely best I've tried of low-end lines.

I'm a little late to the party, I never got it before it was d/c, but I picked one up at Big Lots a couple of weeks ago for $4. I have to say that this is one of the best (if not THE best) foundations I ever used. I got it in Buff which is perfect for me, not pink at all, I hate pink foundations.
It goes on so evenly and my face doesnt look all covered up or cakey. It lasts the whole day (but I have to use powder and blot during the day as w/ all foundations). I am so bummed out that its d/c, but I picked up the last 2 I could find. I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!!!

I really like the fact that this foundation comes in a pump format! I have used up about 3 bottles of the new Revlon Colorstay with Softflex...and decided that while it did provide good coverage for my red cystic acne scars, it was beginning to feel too mask-like. That's when I found this little gem at a discount store. I find that this definitely has a more natural finish (as the name implies) and doesn't accentuate my enlarged pores and scars. While I patiently await the day that my hormonal acne clears up, I like the fact that I can build up this foundation without it getting cakey. Yay for Colorstay Stay Natural!

This product contains porous polymers and silicones. there are light-diffusing particles in this which makes one's skin brighter. it gives medium to full coverage, depending on how much you apply. for medium coverage i use 1/2 pump, for full coverage, i use 1 full pump. the finish is natural, matte and lasting. i use my fingers to blend and it goes on smooth on my skin.
it's good for covering blemishes and scars and it does not magnify my already enlarged pores and pitted scars. i do not need to apply any concealer except on my dark eye rings. the oil control is excellent too, i only need to blot my face once throughout the whole day.
i got this in 04 sand beige which is an exact match to my skin tone, despite the fact that there's only 5 shades available in Sg. The best thing is that this foundation does not oxidise on me! (but my face appears to be white and pinkish when i take picture with the flash on.)
I always use Silkygirl's loose powder on top of this and the combination is perfect!
A thing to note that this liquid foundation can only be removed effectively with cleansing oil followed by cleanser. there's no way you can remove this with just cleanser and water.
But since I've started using mineral foundation, I don't think I will ever go back to using any liquid foundations for now.

I'm reviewing for the older version too.
This is a good fnd with a base underneath, not too drying or cakey. I used avene's sunscreen before that and it is a great combination. I feel that my skin looks dewy and you don't really need that much, one bottle lasts a long time. It covered minor redness and made the face flawless. I've always believed that revlon foundations are the best drugstore brands, sometimes even better than counter brands.
It's a pity that they discontinued this. :(

This stuff is pretty good ... but keep in mind I only buy drugstore crap ... compared to higher-end makeup this might be the equivalent of smearing animal fat on ur face. i dunno. It creates a rubbery flawless layer on your skin that holds up pretty well for a few hours. It doesn't rub off, flake, or get dull at all. Still, it may be too heavy for some ppl.

i know its early to review on this since i bought it last night and just used it today, but what im sure about this is that im very happy because this keeps my face form shining! im using maybelline clear smooth aqua gel foundation and my t-zone still keeps on shining but with this the shine was like reduce big time! im actually hearing good comments about this and heard it was discontinued so i was not expecting to see this yesterday here in kuwait. i bought it right away.. my only problem is the shade is lighter than my skin right now because i was tanned staying in the middle east during the summer and i also dont have a choice since the other one is too pink and the rest is too dark, but its okay i just have to buy a darker finishing powder or try to get my whiter skin back..^_^ but so far this is a good product, ill update soon whether this cause me breakouts..^_^ UPDATE: This doesnt give me breakouts! yehey! but Buff is too light for me now so i bought natural tan and mix the two and i got my shade! this is the best foundation..^_^

This was my first liquid foundation. I used colour 02. It has a thick texture so you definitely need to spread out with fingers before blending it. Once you get used to the application method this product works like a dream. It has a high coverage, and stays on for at least 8 hours. Doesn't run yellow unlike another Revlon foundation I used before. I'll repurchase in the future.

I bought this for my first foundation.
The foundation liquid itself is really thick, when I first try it, it's really hard to spread, and it makes my dry skin looks even more dry.
After a while, I get used to it and found out how to use it well. It turns out that if you apply it using your hand's temperature, it looks really nice.
BUT, if you don't use it properly, your face will looks like a huge mask on some part.
Pros: Looks natural, nice coverage.
Cons: The liquid is too thick, hard to use, and make my skin breakout badly.
It's not a bad foundation when you know how to use it. The result is okay-well, but I think there are better foundation which you can try? One that wouldn't make the face breakout and still give a good looking result. I am sure it's something like this out there.
