I love this lipstick and I probably should get a backup while I can! This color I can actually pull off as an everyday lipstick (as long as I don't heap it on). I'm veery fair (MUFE 110). It's not too crazy at all, in my opinion! You can definately build the color into something that is very bright and vivid though. It lasts a decent amount of time on me and I would repurchase if I could :)

at first i was in love with it.. i thought it was a really beautiful barbie -like pink and the lustre finish is one of my favourites. after using it for a while, i cant say i like it. its such a diffuclt shade of pink, too blue- toned that if you are fair like me makes you look like a corpse or if you are more tanned it looks too fake on you.
i think only a minority can pull this off and im not in it for sure.. apart from that although its a lustre finish its application is uneven and it leaves "patches" on your lips - especially if your lips are chapped like mine.
B2M..

I really like this lipstick! It's a bright light pink color, and it goes on really smoothly! Very pigmented and creamy! AND it's for a really good cause! Definetly worth the price!

What is it? Viva Glam Gaga 1. A lustre lipstick from MAC and all the funds go to the MAC AIDs fund.

Thoughts: I have to say that I was really really excited to buy this lipstick because it’s such a beautiful pink color. When I got home and put it on I was alittle disappointed because the color looks alittle alien on me. I think that if I paired it with a nude or pink lipliner it might work alittle better. I also found that you HAVE to moisturize your lips prior to applying the lipstick or it will go on crazy patchy, unlike the PROLONGWEAR LIPSTICK I bought with it. The pigmentation is also not very good on my skintone and it doesn’t swatch well. But I did find when putting it on one of my lighter skinned friends it looked amazing.

Who would I recommend it to?: I would mainly recommend this product to people of a lighter skintone because it tends to complement it better. But I would also say to people of my skintone to try it with a lipliner and see if they like it.

Where to buy? MAC

I did a look on a friend of a lighter skin using it for a party she had that I will most likely post sometime this week. If you want it earlier just like this post and I will try to post it as soon as I can.

this is my absolute favorite lipstick! i own 3 of them thats how much i love it! when i first heard about it i didnt get it because i thought the color would be too much for me and my fair to medium skin. i didnt wear pinks or bright colors. there was something wrong with me lol. i bought viva glam gaga 2 and loved it. then they brought back viva glam gaga 1 for christmas and i flipped out! i bought it and it came with a cute bag and viva glam gaga 2. then after christmas they sold it separate and i bought anther one and recently i ordered it again online! im OBSESSED. im gonna be honest here one of the main reasons i bought it is because im in love with gaga! plus i looked closely at the color and decided i loved it. i love the packaging. its so cute. the color is fabulous, sweet and cute! the colors stays on for a good amount of time. and the tube lasts soooo long! i still didnt finish my first tube and ive had it for a while. I would recommend this to anyone! Ladies, take a risk with colors. (its not loud at all, its a lustre so you can make it loud or not depending on how much you put) MAC i love you, please make this lipstick permanent!

I love everything about this lipstick! I love that proceeds go to charity, love the colour, love the smell, love how it wears and love the packaging. This shade intimidated me at first but you can use a light hand and build it up to the intensity you like. I never thought that I'd wear a Barbie pink lipstick, but MAC and Lady Gaga proved me wrong!

I bought this lipstick for two reasons:
1. I LOVE Lady Gaga!
2. All proceeds of this lipstick and all other MAC Viva Glam lipsticks goes towards helping cure AIDS.
So, for $14, this lipstick is totally worth it.
The shade of this lipstick is a cool-toned brightish light pink. So, basically, this is a Barbie pink. If you're looking for a warm neutral pink, look elsewhere. This shade of pink is NOT a neutral!
Like all other MAC lipsticks, I think this is a great lipstick. The pigment is very strong, so oftentimes I apply too much and get a Nicki Minaj-like lip color (so I have to blot), but that's definitely not a complaint!
I would say it lasts for about 5 hours or so before you have to reapply, which is good enough for me.
Although it doesn't dry or chap my lips, I still like to rub on a little lip balm before I apply this lipstick.
The tube itself is a classic MAC lipstick tube, except the rim is metallic red, and when you take off the cap, you can see Lady Gaga's signature on it (which I love!).

P.S. Due to the rather unnatural color of this lipstick, I don't wear it everyday (in fact, I rarely wear it--about once or twice a year, maybe?), but this lipstick is definitely a keeper.

I'm nc42 Tan and did not think I could pull this color off, but surprisingly it looks fabulous! I usually hate the lustre formula and it's too sheer for me, but this has great color payoff. I totally agree that this is a more wearable Mac Saint Germaine. Gaga is great for day and Saint Germaine is great at night. Both are gorg!

As many reviewers have pointed out this is a more sheer and wearable version of Saint Germain. I own both of these and prefer this one, though I never wear it anymore. When I had blonde hair this was flattering enough when mixed a tiny bit with Myth lipstick. It's a fun, youthful and bright look but I honestly wouldn't describe it as sexy.

It just doesn't flatter my now dark brown hair against my NW15 pale skin, so I enjoy it in the tube only. I have seen many girls over do it with these two bubble gum pink lipsticks when pairing it with heavy eye makeup. Neutral eyes with natural false lashes and a thin line of liner looks perfect with this.

I missed this one the first time around, because I had a lot of (what I thought were) similar lippys, such as Barbie Loves MAC. But the Barbie MAC seemed a bit ...dark... for lack of a better way to put it.

Well, this Viva Galm Gaga just might be the perfect light pink for me. It's got a subtile but unmistakable glow to it, more wet-looking than frosted, just pigmented enough for good one-application coverage without being chalky, and makes my NC complexion look great.

The 'wet' look is not creepy and goopy like some lip gloss, it just has a fresh, just-applied sheen. Lovely stuff.

Truth is, I bought two, thinking I'd maybe sell the second one on eBay once these get scarce again -if I didn't really like the first one.

After trying this out, I just might have to stock up, because that second one is staying right here.

This is very similar to Saint Germain but softer and muchhh more wearable. i was extremely hesitant to purchase this because it looked like something that wouldn't match women of colour and i was only slightly right. to be honest this was a little hard to pull off but not impossible and when it wears well oh boy, it wears really well. using everyday this would dry out my lips and i found it really emphasized the line of dry skin on my lips. and gloss over top would make the colour patchy...you have to have reallyyy moisturized lips to pull this off.
but for a night out it's beautiful. i've been told wearing this my lips look exotic, wild, slutty (lol, twas not meant to be rude;) it really is a "why, hello" colour. i have worn this during the day but only a layer of it with a gloss blended over top.
i usually have this in my makeup bag everyday tho i don't necessarily use it everyday. i keep it just in case i'm having a long tiring day at work or school and i don't want to look like i'm dead. this really wakes up my face and takes me from stressed face to bombshell. but as i said, too drying for my dry skin for everyday usage. i will always repurchase though for special events and it is often my go to lipstick for such events. i found when its matte it looks hot but when i keep it glossy i look cute. like a teenybopper but not in a bad way hehe:)

I am extremly pale. and platinum blonde so most of the time I look very plain and dull. This lipstick is amazing! It makes my whole face look a little warmer, brighter and more interesting. It defiinetly is barbie pink but in a good way. I don't think people with tan skin can pull it off as well.. it can look a little like snooki. but wow i didn't expect it to look as well. I am very happy with it!

This is one of my two first ever mac makeup items and I love it! it's very pretty and gives a nice shine and it's really smooth. Nothing to dislike about it. I am very pale though and I have much more warm skin than cool so I'm a little pink and this pink is kind of a cool pink so it looks a tad barbie-ish on me, but I still love it, it's just kind of a funkier look so if you are very pale and more pinkish toned, you'll want to try it on before buying and make sure you like the look. But over all, I'm extremely impressed.

I'm one who didn't get Gaga the first time around and regretted it. I just thought it was too bright/light for my skintone, or for anyone over 25. I also wasn't too familiar w. MAC until the last few months (and I've been going MAC-crazy ever since). I jumped on this for two reasons: One, I found out that bright pink (like Pink Nouveau and Snob) look really good on me, and Two, I realized Gaga was a Lustre finish, so it wouldn't be all that pigmented. And I was right on both counts. It's a bubble gum pink, but it's sheer and very wearable, and the finish cuts through some of the brightness as well. Now is this a necessity? Are there no other MAC lipsticks that I like better? NO! Gaga actually reminded me a lot of Speed Dial when applied, although SD is a Cremesheen and a tad darker. Still, it's MAC, it's Gaga, and it's LE. Call me a lemming, but I still love it for those reasons and I bought two more backups.

I passed on this when it was first released along with Viva Glam Cyndi because I didn't think it would work on my skintone (or with my lip preferences--I prefer more neutral colors to bright ones). However, when it was released again recently, I went for it, as I figured I could at least contribute to the MAC Aids fund and then pass the lipstick along to a friend if I still hated it. I still don't like this straight from the tube and alone--bubblegum pink lips just aren't for me. But over a nude liner and/or paired with a few different glosses, it mutes out that brightness a bit. It's still not 100% in my comfort zone, but it's definitely a great shade to experiment with, and I'm glad I got a second chance to work with it.
