I bought this because I had bought the Maybelline Mineral Power and the brush that comes with that sucks but now I'm back to using the Maybelline brush because this one sucks!
True, it's soft and the application is alright but it smells so so bad! I even washed it to try to get the smell out and but then it smelled even worst! Ugh, I will NOT buy this product again.

crap!
it sheds
it sheds
it sheds
did i mention it sheds?
It STINKS...
it was soft when i bought it...but above all it stinks and it sheds....not buying another one...even at 40% it was too much
EDIT..so after about 5 washes (no lie) it appears as though the shedding has stopped...it still stinks. I have natural hair brushes but this tops them all in smell. atleast it has stopped shedding

I read good reviews and watched videos about flat top brushes and finally decided to purchase it. It is a great product!!! it's got good design, small traveling size that would fit perfectly into a makeup pouch, dense bristle, reusable packaging and reasonable price. I love this product. This brush is ideal for applying mineral or powder foundation.

The brush is really (and I mean really) soft but is dense and stiff enough to give great coverage for my mineral powder makeup. It's excellent for buffing and a great price to boot HOWEVER it does seem to shed a few hairs with every use... which can get annoying...

Well, I hate to rain on the parade, but I bought it solely on the reviews on MUA. My Chanel brush was on it's last legs and starting to shed after years of daily use, so I and was not hesitant to pay full price for the QUO Kabuki brush, as it was still cheaper than what I would have paid for a MAC or Chanel brush. First off, I really like the shape of the handle. The bristles were adequate, not as soft as the MAC I was hoping to purchase, but not scratchy as the BE kabuki brush. Did not think it was HG quality, but given the price, it was good. The kicker was after a couple of weeks of daily use, it started shedding. More than my Chanel brush after a couple of years of use. At first I gave it the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was just shedding a couple of loose strands, but everytime I do my makeup, I have to go over my face and pick up the loose bristles on my face. Perhaps I got a defective brush and it is an exception to the rule, but based on my experience I will not repurchase.

Whoa! First kabuki brush and I wouldn't have used it if I didn't buy it for my sister. I have been eyeing other ones but have been too paranoid to make the leap to pay, and then one day my liquid foundation ran out and needing to use something, borrowed my sister's powder and brush (which I bought for her birthday).
It was so incredibly soft! I kept brushing my face after even makeup just to revel in the feeling. Way softer than real hair brushes (unless you pay a loads for a REALLY top quality one) and you know...it applies just as well in all seriousness. The thing about synthetics not holding powders as well seems like a myth to me.
I love the flat head because then the powder isn't at many different levels and I know I will use it all on my face. It does shed a few hairs every time though, but since I have no comparison point, I'm keeping my review at 5 lippies. I'm about to get my own (another brand for comparison) soon...so I may update then.

I really love this brush! The price is great ($22 reg., but I got mine on sale) and it works really well with MAC Studio Fix. There is a little bit of brush fall-out and only intense cleaning will get it as white as it was when you bought it. Great alternative to expensive brands!

I love this brush! I found it on sale so it was pretty cheap. It does a wonderful job of applying my Halo and powder sunblock. This is the best Kabuki I have used. It washes well too. If you see one on sale, grab it!

This brush is comparable to the mac 180 buffer brush. It looks just like it but with a silver handle instead. I really it, the bristle are very soft, it's small and compact, and comes in a cute little plastic case. You can use this for mineral, liquid foundation, blush and contouring.
I got it as part of the 40% off at SDM, so it was a good deal, like $13 CAD. I would recommend this for sure.

I love my Quo Kabuki's!
This is a really nice, soft, flat-topped, fairly densely-packed, yet flexible (conforms well to face) kabuki brush that comes with a cute little reusable see-through case. It has a silvery-grey base, with soft white hairs.
I got a 2nd one of these for 40% off at my local Shoppers Drug Mart and I really think it was a fantastic deal! I have 1 for home use and another in my purse just in case (you never know when you’ll need your kabuki!).
I have found a few uses for this: I have used it to apply MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, for applying loose setting powders, to blend out jaw line area, and to blend out blushes. It picks up powders well (I tap it to make sure it isn’t too much), and does an excellent job of blurring/blending.
I love the size - it's small enough to get up close to the mirror and see what I am doing without banging it on the mirror, it's easy to transport, it has a nicely shaped handle that fits comfortably in my hand, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, super cheap (especially when you get the 40% off), easy to wash, did I say super soft?, and doesn't shed a whole lot (maybe a hair or 2 every now and then). I also like that it comes with a case, as it's easy to store away and keeps it from getting all grubby in my purse.
This really helps provide a nice finish to my makeup and I am very satisfied with this purchase. I may even buy another as a backup for when I haven't had time to clean them.

Edit: This sheds so much! It is such a great brush, but I literally find pieces of brush on my face. I love the design, but they need to stop the shedding factor!.
I was so excited to find the Kabuki brush and there was only one left! It was on sale for 40 per cent off. I love it! It is just the right firmness for me. I can use it for my Smashbox Halo. It also has a cute little plastic case to keep it clean!
Edit: After two weeks this is still working so well. I have washed it twice and use it for my Smashbox Halo and then to apply my Jane Iredale powder sunscreen. What a great find!

After a rather bad experience with my first Quo brush -- the Quo Powder Brush -- I swore that I wouldn't buy Quo brushes ever again. However, picking this brush up was a pleasant surprise when I made a trip to SDM.
First off, it looks exactly like the discontinued MAC 180 brush, a brush I have been lemming for a while. Secondly, it is real smooth and soft to the touch, and not scratchy -- practically night and day compared to my powder brush. I picked it up @ 40% off, a rather good deal considering the two aforementioned things.
Before using it the first time, I washed and conditioned the brush and let it air dry. The next day, there were cracks in the handle! [see pic uploaded by me] I brought it back to the store the next day to see if I could exchange it. I was able to exchange it and so I washed and conditioned the new one and let it air dry. This time, no cracks after the first wash. After a few weeks of using it, it started to develop cracks too. So I decided to just live with it, it's a cheap brush and it was a good deal anyway. I use it to buff powder after foundation and it's an awesome brush. I have yet to use it for liquid foundation. Oh -- and it sheds little white hairs when washing and when you actually use it. But I expected that from Quo -- they don't exactly have top notch quality when it comes to their brushes.
When I got it the first time and had it exchanged, it was the only brush left in both stores (went to two different ones). Original price was for CAD$22 and I got it for CAD$13.20. I recommend trying it if you see one, it's a basic brush if you are building your collection and it gets the job done.
