I bought this on special because it does have a very good list of ingredients and I liked the idea of using a serum with vitamins a and c along with herbal extracts under my daily sunscreen. Alas, within three days I was breaking out in pimples. I had made no other changes to my skincare routine so I can only conclude it was the serum. I do tend to badly with silicone based products, but this didn't have too much silicone so I thought it would be okay. Oh well - such is life. I'll use up the rest on the back of my hands.

I first tried this serum as a free sample and decided it was worth a purchase. However I have had great difficulty finding it in stores. I eventually had to buy it on ebay. Hopefully it hasn't been discontinued because I swear I notice a difference in my face in the morning if I've applied it before I go to bed. My face seems a lot more even toned and less puffy compared to when I don't use it. I'm in my 20s, fair and have pretty normal skin in terms of oil production. I tried the highly rated Estee Lauder Night Repair serum and did not like it at all. It seemed to burn my skin and left red lumps around my eyes and face. And that serum is around $100 so for me this $5 biore serum is all I need.
As mentioned by the reviewer below there are some good, nourishing ingredients in it like nettle extract and vitamin A and C.
In short, if you're not worried about wrinkles but are looking for something to reduce night time blotchiness and puffiness I highly recommend this inexpensive serum!

Age: 19-24   Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Warm   Hair: Black, Medium   Eyes: Brown

Texture: smooth due to the silicone which isn't harmful to the skin
Smell: too much scent but it goes away within 10 mins
Amount: looks small but you only need a bit (read more to know why)

Pros: It has a lot of unexpected good things in this product, vitamins A and C, green tea, aloe, rosehip, rosemary, sage and much more. All of these ingredients are harmless to the body and is very healing.

Cons: It contains dimethicone (though used a lot in many things) is a bit toxic to the body and it has Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate which is REALLY toxic. So it's extremely important to use very little and not "overdose"

Overall: even though there are "negative" things in this product it has more good than evil. And it really calms my skin, even skin tone and provides a lot of extra nurients to the skin. For that I would buy again but I would choose something more natural.

I have very acne prone skin, and all the while I was using this, I did not have a single breakout.... at all. Left my face smooth, not greasy----almost "powdery" like a previous review stated. I plan on buying this again!

Again, it must be because I getting old that this works well for me. I use to wake up with the dryest skin after I turned 30.

Oh well, good luck girls.

I don't really see a difference in my skin, but I love this product because of the smell. I got a trial size and then I saw a full size on clearance and purchased it. I'm really erratic with my routine, sometimes I'll use one moisturizer, other times I'll use another. Lately, I've been trying to stick to a regular skincare routine to see if I can nail down what is working for me and what is not. So we'll see if this does anything for me.

I love this product. I originally got a small sample of it in the mail. I tried it one night and I swear, it makes my skin feel like powder or velvet. Its just so soft! And, I like that you can layer it under moisturizer or wear it alone. I sometimes wear it alone and other times if I am more dry (like in winter) I will wear a dab of moisturizer too. If my skin is still moist from the shower I will use just one pump and it is enough. If I have already toweled off and then apply it, it does take 2-3 pumps. It is expensive for such a small bottle, but it lasts an okay amount of time. I think the key really is to try putting it on at night after a shower then you only need a tiny bit. I have already bought a couple bottles of this and gone through them and will deff. continue to repurchase

This made my skin break out, which is pretty unusual for me. Otherwise, it didn't do anything for my skin. I have used other serums that actually make a difference in my skin (eg. Origins, Burt's Bees...); this one does nothing and is just a waste of money.

I am seriously in love with this stuff. I strongly doubted it doing anything, but then I just kept using it after I washed at night (didn't use a moisturizer since all I have are daytime ones) and I just really noticed a clear difference. My skin was soft. When I exfoliated, my skin stayed smoother longer. Also, it smells great like all the Biore products. I don't know what it's doing or how it's doing, but I'm definitely in love with the results of the product.

I ended up getting it for free as some prize so I wasn't aware of how expensive it was until I looked for it in a store. But I find that if my face is just a little damp, I can make one pump cover my entire face so even though it's a really small bottle, it'll last for a long time so it'll be worth the price when I have to buy it for real.

ok i'm 16 and i have normal/combo skin so i don't have a problem with dullness or flakiness. however i get really dehydrated sometimes and when that happens i break out on my forehead, i get a bit flaky, and my skin is more uneven in color. i also use it after i've been in the sun all day playing beach volleyball. this serum great too if i've been eating a lot of junk food/drinking and i guess the antioxidants and vitamin c make the damage on the skin waaay less apparent.
i use this product at night after my biore scrub and then put my l'oreal moistur-e lotion over it. i only pump the bottle once and get less then a dime size drop on my fingertips then smooth all over my face and my neck. over the next few days, my skin gets brighter and more even and the flakiness is gone. this product is great at getting my skin back to normal by repairing it with all the antioxidants and such.
i love the texture of the serum-it's not greasy and its oil free. it sinks right into my skin, and as soon as it is applied, your skin looks really dewy. i find the smell pretty and fruity, but it fades once it is absorbed.
the price is 12.99 cdn at london drugs, which is pretty expensive for a 40mL bottle, but i hav bought my second bottle (after it was on sale for 9.99m then used an in store $3 off coupon) for 6.99.
i wud recommend for teenagers if they want to get their skin back to normal and to repair it from sun exposure/ all the crap we put into our bodies.

I wanted to like this :( I put it on last night and it was fine, had a cooling sensation, but seemed like you had to pump 2-3 times to cover your face. Used it again this morning and it made my face red and irritated. This was the only new thing I have added to my skincare routine. I am sad, this product was not for me. But that doesn't mean it won't work for others.

After traveling and eating terribly for the last week (as well as consuming massive amounts of alcohol, and we all know what that does to your skin), then using this for the last two days, I can definitively say that my skin is clearer, more even toned, and brighter. It's not a miracle product, but since you can tell that my skin is almost back to normal in only 2 days, I will say that it works damn well so I will continue to use it. One thing that freaks me out is that it smells really really good, which means that it has perfumes in it that are not so good for putting on delicate places like your face. I haven't had any issues with it so far though! To the person below me: skin serums are suppose to be used UNDER your moisturizer. Not on top of it, and not as a moisturizer substitute. The directions on the back of the bottle even say it...

I got this in a sample size so I haven’t had a very long experience with it. I wanted something to use at night to help refine my skin – I have some uneven texture and skin tone – and I though this might help. I used it for a few days on just-washed skin, and after a while I noticed that a few parts of my face felt a little dry. Not flaky, just a little parched. So I switched to putting on a light moisturizer, then the serum – which is what my dermatologist had me do when I was on Tazorac last year. I guess the moisturizer provides a protective barrier and you still get the effects of the second treatment, just a bit diluted. I’ve been pleased with my skin since I started doing this, though I don’t see a huge change. So I will probably buy a full bottle and see how it goes long-term. This isn’t a wow product just yet but I’m hopeful.

I got a sample of this beauty and love it. Smells so nice. It's strong but that doesn't turn me off, and after a minute it's gone. It soaks right it. I noticed my skin seemed brighter, like I had gotten my 8 glasses of water but really hadn't. It doesn't clog my pores and is really does give that extra little oomph to your skin. I will repurchase consistently.

EDIT: After using this, I did have nicer skin, but it caused me to get small little blackheads on my cheeks, which I have never had. I never had issues with blackheads before, and these just got worse. I have stopped using it. I will let my skin rest and try it up again to see if it was something else, but I'm positive it was this.

i don't really know what to think of this product. i was using it during a time where my skin was very reactive (thanks ice cleanser & astringent).

it spreads on quite nicely, although i always feel like i'm using too much of it. i find the smell pleasant and it makes my skin feel alright after using it.
i did wake up looking somewhat refreshed in the morning.
maybe i'll try it again when my skin is completely recovered.

I'm a long time user of PB's serums but did not feel like reordering the last time I ran out. I saw this at Target and thought it might be a less expensive alternative. I've been using it every night for 2 weeks, and putting a tiny bit on during the day. My skin is thriving on it. The texture is more velvety and overall looks brighter. The best serums I've ever used were by emergin c and skinceuticals, but this one isn't that far behind them. I've experienced no breakouts but silicones have never been a problem for me. The serum has a fragrance but it's fresh and not overwhelming. I love this stuff and will continue to buy it.
