this is a HG product that I have bought many, many times and ALWAYS have. Anytime my nails feel dry or look bad I put this stuff on. It makes them shiney and gives them some "health" back.. makes my ugly cuticles and hangnails disappear.

I have really bad cuticles that bleed and tear which, in turn, cause me to pick at my fingers and ruin my nails. I decided to buy some cuticle cream to help keep them moisturized. I originally bought some cuticle cream of a different brand in a stick form, but this didn't last long and I ran out within a month. This cuticle cream was the second I bought. It lasted much, much longer, kept my nails just as moisturized if not more, had a pleasant smell, and was priced much more reasonably. It took awhile for me to get used to the product, but I believe that this is because the particular tub I bought was an older formula and took some time to make malleable (when I purchased this product a second time, it was more creamy and less orange so it didn't stain). Still, I love it. It really helps my fingers feel better moisturized. It comes in a nice little tub that I can keep on my nightstand or in my purse. Though the product is orange, it doesn't turn my fingers orange; it only leaves behind a nice scent of apricots and a bit of oil, which is easily wiped off.

Not the worst product I've used, but not great either.
I can tolerate the smell but the texture is just too waxy. It warms quickly though and easy to apply, but I find it leaves fingers sticky and with a sticky wax residue left in the nail bed and crevices. I will stick with LUSH Lemony Flutter.... Its made with natural ingredients and really does the job.

Smells great, just like apricots. But does nothing for my cuticles. Feels waxy.

I really don't understand the hatred for this product. I don't love it or hate it. The texture is okay, not hard or overly waxy like some people said. I run my finger over the top of the product and get enough of it for at least two fingers. It goes on smoothly and does not leave behind anything on my fingers. It leaves my cuticles soft, but it's nothing that a lotion couldn't do. As far as the smell goes, it doesn't bother me. Yeah, it smells like a cheap apricot smell, but it isn't overly pungent/offensive.

I brought this for 2.99 and it came with a metal cuticle pusher so i thought that was a good deal. The one thing i did notice was that it did help my cuticles get soft not that they were in bad shape but it helped a little. I really dont like the Apricot scent and i really dont like that it is really hard and waxy. My older sister had this and i dont remember it being this hard when I used to use it! I would buy this item again but i do still plan to look around for other cuticle creams

SH makes 2 great cuticle creams: this one and the 'Healthy Cuticles' cream in the cute little orange bottle. (The latter one has been my HG cuticle cream for nearly 6 years; esp. in dry, dry, cold weather).
The only difference between both the creams is that the 'Cuticle Message Cream with Apricot' is less oily and more 'matte' and waxy, and it absorbs quickly. It does it's job of moisturizing dry cuticles instantly. I find it's better to use this on nails before you step outside since you don't want oil all over your hands when your at work, doing errands, driving, whatever.
The latter one in the little orange bottle has its purpose too: since it's oilier and more moisturizing, it provides an intensive, deep conditoning for cuticles at night.

I bit my nails for years and years, and finally made the commitment to stop. This helped heal up the ugly hangnails and softened my cuticles pretty much instantly. I see that many reviews said they didn't like the texture and couldn't get it onto their fingers, but I didn't have any problem with that. I just rubbed my finger over the top like a lip balm and rubbed it in. It smells kind of cheap though, like if the apricot was a hooker.
This stuff is great.

In the winter, this cuticle cream really saves me. My cuticles get so dry and start to crack. When I use this, they heal and look and feel nice. It doesn't take very long for it to start to work. I see that some don't like the consistency. I think the consistency is a large part of why this cream is so effective. It is thick and kind of waxy, and I think it sticks to the cuticles well because of that. The smell is very nice. A jar lasts a long time. The price is reasonable. I think this is a great product.
Update 3/2713 I am working at a bank now, and since I started that job, I have been plagued with hangnails. Painful as can be. I had not been using this for a long time. I bought a new jar, and after just a couple of nights, my cuticles were healed, my hangnail problem was gone. As long as I keep using this, my hangnails stay away. I only use it once a day, at bedtime.

I, too, was put off a bit by the consistency of the product but it didn't bother me enough to stop using it. Massaging it into my cuticles and over my nails really did the trick to help clean up some dry and scraggly cuticles. The smell is nice, and my nails seemed to grow a bit more healthily as I continued to use this after only a week or so. I will definitely buy it again.

I agree with the other reviewers. I really dislike the texture of the this cream. It's not even a cream--it's an odd mix of waxy and chunky. It feels almost gross on my fingers. So, that was an initial turn off for me. I left the "cream" sit out for a little bit and I found it was easier to mold but still quite chunky. I like the apricot smell--it's a bit fake smelling but nice overall. I found that my cuticles did feel more moisturized but the product was so sticky! Lately, I've been apply this to my cuticles for a few minutes and then rinsing off the excess. I will not repurchase--you can find nicer cuticle creams. I will try Mango Mend next.

A little waxy and tough to get out at first. Otherwise, it's a decent cuticle balm. Cute apricot smell, which vanishes quickly. It doesn't leave any orange coloring behind that I've noticed. It just coats my cuticles and protects them. Would repurchase.

While this does help moisturize delicate cuticles, I am not a fan of the texture. It feels a bit waxy. But I do like the fruity smell and I even use some all over my hands. I do notice that I get less hang nails, so it does work. I think I will stick with cuticle oils.

At first I thought the product was hard and that I wasn't getting any of the product out of the container, but you do pick up a bit on your finger and you don't actually need a lot at once. It helped smooth my nails and cuticles *instantly*. I like this a lot better than Burts Bee's cuticle cream which I find too oily. This stuff sinks in right away and works great.

Well I was out and about and was looking for something to moisturize my cuticles (they are not really in bad shape, just wanted a little extra moisture). Didn't get a chance to consult the MUA, but this was only $2.99 and the little tub looked cute so I thought maybe I should try this. I open it and it looks like it will be this soft moisturizing cream....WRONG. I touch it and it's super hard and waxy. I thought maybe it's like the Burt's Bees Cuticle cream... so I gently rub my finger over this hard wax.. nothing comes off to put on my cuticles (like it does if I use the Burt's Bees). Okay... so I dig in with my fingers to get a small chunk of this (gross...if feels like a melted crayon or candle wax). I try to rub it on all my cuticles on one hand. Not only does it NOT absorb in OR moisturize but it just sits in the sides of my nails like putty. Now the tops of my nails are waxy and gross and I feel like I have gotten food or something all over my nails. It's disgusting stuff. I immediately washed it off. YUCK. I really cannot see anyone liking this or it being beneficial at all. I would give this a big fat zero if I could.

My cuticles were looking WRETCHED this winter so I ran to the drugstore and snatched up this cuticle cream. I was doubtful when I opened the jar (which is nice and sturdy) because, like others mentioned, the consistency seemed a little "off": It was waxy, while I was expecting something more creamy. I felt like I had to really rub my fingers into the pot in order to get anything out of it, but my raggedy cuticles looked close to perfect immediately after applying. Will definitely purchase again!

ICK. This cuticle cream is very waxy, a really weird texture. (I rubbed my finger into it and it came apart in chunks). When I tried to massage it in, it didn't absorb or moisturize at all, it just sat on top of my hands making them feel really gross and icky. I did not like this at all.

I have loved this product since I was in high school. I did have to use it a few times a day for the first few weeks until I noticed a difference, but after that, I could just use it once a day for maintenance and it really works well!!!
