I kind of discovered this cream on accident. I ran out of my usual Mary Kay moisturizer that I had been using for years so I went to ebay to find some more when I stumbled across this stuff. The auction was ending right then and it was a decent price so I decided to go for it, not even knowing much about what it was. lol.
It's now been about a month and I use it every night after washing my face and just sometimes in the morning before makeup.
Yes, it is very thick and creamy, definitely more so than any other moisturizer I have ever tried. It just takes a bit longer to apply. If you keep rubbing it into your skin, eventually you will get it. Lots of people say it feels too thick and sits right on top of your face, I think maybe they're just not rubbing it in as much as you should?? Everyone's different though.
Anyway, after just a week of use I noticed a big difference in my skin! It suddenly started evening up and I seem to have more of a glow under makeup. It hasn't made me break out at all!
I have fairly normal skin but during the hot summer days lately, it's been VERY oily. This stuff doesn't exactly help to control that but it does not make it any worse either so that's pretty neutral on that level.
Most of all, it feels like a great night cream (and I've never been a night cream person). One thing I don't love though is when I wake up, my face does need to be blotted down a bit because it feels pretty oily and gross. I guess it's not a huge deal because I know it's just doing it's job...moisturizing!
I also love the packaging. The container feels heavy and very nice quality, the lid has a cool matte type feel to it too. :)
I might buy this again way in the future after trying lots of others first. I don't mind the heavy texture for nightime but I'd like to find something lighter for daytime moisturizer.

I have been happy with the results of this product, but is a bit on the thicker side of face lotions. The product brings out a natural subtle shimmer glow, which is something I enjoy having underneath my primer and face make-up like foundation and concealer. While it may last for a long time, the container causes me to use more of it. Definitely an item I'll purchase again if money permits.

I really like this cream - I know it's for dry skin, and I have very oily skin, but this works WONDERS for me :D
I only use it in the evening, it's way too much for me to use in the morning, but it moisturizes my skin insanely well, I have never come across another moisturizer that did the same for my skin, and without feeling greasy and gross on my skin. This sinks in so fast, and does not leave that eww-y film on your skin. In the morning, I have a skin that feels like a baby's :D

This is what I hate about MAC products - they use CHEAP filllers and chemicals to add smooth consistency and texture. For example, Isopropyl Palmitate which is one of the top ingredients in this cream and most of their other products!!! Google this, and it is a 5 (highest) on the comedogenic and irritant scale. And really for a high end cosmetic company they should use much higher quality stuff! Even basic drugstore products have better ingredients that this!!
I would never allow any MAC face product to touch my face - and you might not even see the effects for months and then you'll blame it on some other poor product for breakouts and such. I will stick to their eyeshadows and lipsticks.

YUUUUUUK!!! I can't beleive anyone would like this! I bought it wanting a nice cream for my drier skin in winter time. What i got was a tacky, rubbery, gross moisturiser. You really have to rub it in and tug at your skin to apply it to your face (that's one way to invite wrinkles to your face) and then after this you're left with this residual on your skin, the only way i can describe it is a layer of oil on your face. GROSS.
Furthermore no product, expensive, dirt cheap, or otherwise has ever had any adverse effect on me. This however, left me with red dry patches about an inch long. WTF it's called MOISTURElush - ie. its meant to moisturise not dry out.
So dissapointed with this MAC - plus it has unsanitary packaging in a tub which should be changed.
If i could i'd give it a ZERO!!!

This is my brand new HG night moisturizer! It is really thick and rich and creamy and it smells great! The smell disapates quickly, but this stuff has banished the flakes! Great stuff, highly recommend!

Moisturelush is now my holy grail moisturizer. I have extremely dry skin, and after using this for about two months, my skin is actually perfect, FINALLY! I usually only use this at night and wash it off in the morning, because it does leave a bit of a shine on your face, but if im feeling extra dry, ill put a small amount on in the morning too. i love the smell and the fact that its a bit thick.

I'm impressed with this cream! It's got a thick texture that should be rubbed between your fingers or hands to warm it up a bit before applying, otherwise you may find yourself rubbing you skin hard. (Just want to massage it in.) After it is absorbed into the skin however, it makes the skin feel like silk! That is, if you're dry-very dry. I can't imagine even someone with normal skin liking this at all! It's very rich! I can also see this being a good culprit for clogged pores if you are anything but the dry-very dry skin type not prone to breakouts. I'm not sure if I will purchase this again when it runs out because I'm still searching for that winner cream; one that really gives my skin a plump, even, dewy texture that lasts. This does almost that... but not quite. But, the ingredients are very calming to my skin and it does add plumpness that does last a while. In fact... I am in love with the ingredients list. (I wish it weren't in a jar!) Good price for a well formulated (imo) Lauder moisturizer. :)

this product has been my lifesaver on several occasions!!
i have extremely sensitive skin and seem to react to almost every moisturiser, however the moisturelush seems to make my skin super smooth and helps eliminate my dry skin every time.
very thick and a little goes a long way! very pricey, but worth it for a good moisturiser!!
i would highley recommend this to people who have dry/sensitive skin :)

This is a very rich moisturizer for dry skin. I have combination skin so it really did not work for my face. I like using it on my hands but I think this is just too expensive for a hand cream. Sorry, MAC...

this cream was a lifesaver when I was on swim team...my face was extremely dry and peeling ALL the time, and this is basically the only thing that stopped it.
now that my skin is back to normal I really have no use for it...but if you have dry skin this is perfect...but otherwise I don't really suggest it.
If I had year round dry skin I would give this a 5 but I'm giving this a 3 because I really don't see me being able to use this again.

I have VERY sensitive skin. All moisturizers cause me to have cystic acne.
Mac's moisturizers are the only ones that do not affect my skin. I live in MI and this my hg for the winter. I apply it at night so it can really soak in. I love this and will forever use it! My other fav is Studio Moisture Fix its great for day time. In the summer I use Oil Control because I have combo skin.

Firstly, this is a rich creme, i repeat it is a rich creme unlike drugstore moisturizers like clean and clear which are thin and more watery. This moisturizer is thick, creamy and slightly scented, however the scent is pleasant and quickly disappears finding it hard to find it having a scent to begin with. Now this foundation is tricky to work with because of its thickness, to make it work for myself I scopp some out with my finger onto the back of my hand then using a sponge apply it evenly and slowly all over my face and a little underneath my eyes. After which point for it to work properly as a moisturizer I find you MUST let it sit until you are sure it has absorbed into your skin, 5-7 minutes should do it. If you apply this moisturizer quickly and then apply your primer or foundation afterwards you will feel it sitting on your skin after which point it will not moisturize properly, so i'll repeat it again it needs to sit and absorb in the skin for a few minutes afterwards.
It is quite expensive in my opinion but a little goes a long way and it lasts you for a pretty long time.

Okay, here's what happend. I went into Macy's to the MAC section of the store to exchange my mascara and ended up buying this cream along with my exchange. First, I asked the MAC SA that I was also interested in a scrub that I heard great raves about it. It was some sort of micro scrub which I couldn't remember the name of it was what I told the SA. So he showed me where the scrub was and said that that was their best seller called the Microfine replenisher. At least I think that's what it's called, I have it in my bedroom and I don't feel like getting up right now just to go read the label as of now to type in this review lol. But anyways, he had recommaned that I buy their moisturelush cream along with the microfine srub and that both in conjunction works really great together. So when he tried the moisturelush cream on my hand it felt so smooth and soft that it instantly healed my crackly dry hands. That was enough to make me sold on the product so I decided to purchase it. But I made sure to ask the SA if this moisturizer was also for combo/oily/sensitive skin type and he replied it's meant for our type of skin assuming he also had combo/oily skin as well. Well, sure enought that night when I put on the cream it just looked so greasy and oily on my skin. It felt nothing the way how it did when he demo it on my hands and did not absorb into my skin as it did on my hands at the store. I just looked myself in the mirror before writing this review and my face looks like an oil slick! Now, why would he even tell me that it's made for combo/oily/sensitive type when that isn't true? I can't believe I felt for his recommandation and wasted my money on this cream. I sure don't want to have to go back to that MAC store again to make another return having to deal with their snobby attitudes again. I don't think I'll ever purchase any skincare from MAC. Their makeups are great and that's about it but not their skincare line.

I don't like the way it's packaged. I love the product. The product itself is amazing. I thought for the longest time that I had extremely oily skin and upon using this product, it perfectly moisturizes my skin and makes it feel absolutely lush. The more I use this, the better my skin becomes. Just because I don't like the packaging, doesn't make it a bad product. It's by far the best moisturizer I've used. It takes my skin and hydrates it to the extreme!

I had to edit my original review. I discontinued using this product for 2 weeks after I bought it to allow my skin to heal from the 'mysterious breakout' that occurred. My skin was radiant and glowing afterwards. I decided to try this product again this morning. My face itched all day. By 3pm I had 4 new zits on my face. I originally loved this product because it was so thick and my skin had been really dry lately, but it seems that all Mac Skincare products completely ravage my face. Let me also add that I am not at all acne prone (don't even need to wash my face at night) but certain products will cause flare ups. This is going right back to the store tomorrow.

I tried this product after viewing tutorials on YouTube and several people raved about it. I have not actually purchased it, but I have gotten several samples. I love the way that it feels and I love the way it makes my skin feel. I don't like the package. I wish it came in a pump or a squeeze tube. It is also very expensive for the amount that you get and it doesn't contain sunscreen. I will probably purchase it soon to use as a night cream. It made my skin feel soft and supple. I have normal to dry skin that is easily irritated and leans more towards the dry end. A lot of products irritate my skin, but this one did not. It's just so expensive $34 for a very small jar. I hope to find it at a CCO, so I don't have to pay full price, or will order on the next MAC FF offer.

I love MAC makeup as a whole, including their controvertial foundations, but one thing MAC *always* seems to fail on me is their skincare. My skin is peely and dry from the harsh winter and my starting up retinoids again so I grabbed this one at my counter. One of my coworkers swears by it. So I gave it a try. My biggest rant is that this sat on top of my skin and never absorbed. It made my skin look and feel slippery wet and greasy! I love the cute tub packaging, very sleek and chic, however, most of us on MUA know how unsanitary that type of packaging could be.
I also noticed shortly after using this that my face was beet red, a very usual thing whenever I use mac skincare.
If I really need moisture to prevent the cracking and peeling from retinoids I would probably opt for aquaphor or vaseline...seriously. Not my fave ...not even on super dry skin..

Oily skin + extremely rich moisturizer = problems. I only got a sample of this, thankfully. I must say I *was* pleasantly surprised at how quickly it was absorbed in the skin given how thick and rich it is, but this was just not made with my skin in mind. I used it as a night cream a few times, but it broke me out. I passed it onto my mother, who seems happy with it (dry, eczema-prone skin)
(After looking up ingredient list: WTH were they thinking?! How about not cramming it full of comedogenic stuff, ktnx.)
