LOVE this! I used L'Oreal Translucide for years and was happy with it, but this is miles beyond. I have super-oily eyelids and typically have big problems with eyeshadow creasing (no matter what kind of primer I use) and my waterproof mascara smudging off my lashes and onto my skin by mid-morning. Setting my makeup with this not only eliminates those issues, but keeps the rest of my face looking great until my usual lunchtime touch-up. This is really a breakthrough powder for me, and worth the price. I like the very packable size of the jar, but a sifter with such big holes is a peeve of mine. If it gets tossed around in your makeup bag, you can find way too much powder on top when you open it.

I absolutely love this stuff! I love using this as my finishing powder and also use prep + prime refined zone under it and these two products really make my face look flawless. It's amazing that it controls my tzone from looking shiny and blurs my pores. I'm not so sure that it makes my skin glow but I think it's because Studio Sculpt already gives me a soft dewy look so I can't tell the difference so I should probably try it with my Fix Fluid before I can say that it really doesn't but I can say that I don't notice it with my Studio Sculpt Foundation. The only thing I don't like about this is that it gets everywhere and when I travel I have to carry it in a plastic bag so the powder doesn't get on my other products, but that's what you get with a loose powder!

I love this product. I have somewhat oliy skin and I did not have to touch up my face not even once during the day. Even after a long day iIwent to work out and it lasted. I declare my makeup did not move. This is a keeper. It is way better than MUFE HD powder and MAC's blotting powder. I used the MAC Prep and Prime powder on one side of my face and MUFE HD powder on the other side. I asked my husband which side he liked best and he said the MAC side because it gave my skin a glow. Ladies this is a must have product if you wear foundation or even if you don't.

5/23/09 Update: Had to add a lippie. I bought this powder a few weeks ago. It's still very messy, but am not sure what other options there are for a product that is this fine. I had to get a new powder because I found out that my old powder was oxidizing on me and making my face pink/orange. Not very flattering. Anyways, my face is mostly matte these days and I do get a nice glow from this powder. I'm not sure if it helps at all with hiding pores, but at least it's not turning me any new colors.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A MAC MUA tried this on me and it was ok. Seemed kind of messy (even the MUA spilled product all over the place). The powder is very very fine so it's dustier than regular powders. I don't think that it helped my skin anymore than my current powder since I still got shiny by the end of the day. I probably would have bought it if I didn't already have some setting powder already. I'm not in love, but I can see myself owning it in the future when my powder runs out.

When I first heard about Colour Ready coming out with this, I was very interested in this product I bought it the day it came out. I have fairly oily skin, and especially throughout the day I get extremely shiny (even in dry areas). After so much hype about this, it had an ashy feel on my skin even with a light application. It made me look a little overdone, but later in the day I would become a greaseball and would need blotting sheets. It didn't really conceal my pores or anything either.

my face is itchy (mostly the mouth area) but gorgeous.
it's doesn't make me ashy. My skin has to get used to it, though.

This product is a DEFINITE keeper for me! I've read reviews regarding this product and the raves it was receiving. So I thought to myself, "Well, why not spend money on make-up once again and try it out?!" Well, the $21 dollars (plus tax) I spent on it was WELL WORTH IT!
I have 8+ hours days with school and work and it's very important for my make-up to stay in place and NOT slide off. Blessed with an oily skin (sarcasm people), I've tried multiple products out there to keep the oilies at bay. I've tried blotting powders (from MAC, which made my face cakey, gross and unsanitary), ant-shine (from Smashbox, worked alright, but after an hour, I was already shiny) and last, but not the least, milk of magnesia (worked okay, but the application took longer than I had hoped for). With this MAC's Prep + Prime, it's the only product that has kept my oiliness at bay longer than ANY anti-shine products I've tried in the past. I didn't think a white (colorless on your face) powder would do the trick, but it did! I apply this powder twice, BEFORE and AFTER applying make-up. Below is my make-up routine (steps 6-8 vary as I don't go by this every day).
1.) Moisturizer (Neutrogena's Oil Free Fresh Moisture)
2.) Primer (Smashbox Photo Finish in Original)
3.) MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder (with a brush)
4.) Concealer (MAC Select Moisturecover in NW 20)
5.) Mineral foundation/Powder foundation (Everyday Minerals [Winged Butter & Olive Medium mixed in Intensive formula] OR Make Up For Ever's Duo Mat Powder Foundation [shade #207])
6.) Bronzer (NARS Casino or Bare Escentuals' Faux Tan)
7.) Blush (MAC Blushbaby)
8.) Highlighter (NARS Albatross)
9.) Eyebrows (MAC Brow Gel in Show Off then filled in with MAC Brun eyeshadow)
10.) MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder (with a brush)
I have noticed that this transparent powder made my skin smoother prior and after putting on make-up. The amount I use on my face varies, because I apply a little more on my nose, forehead and cheek area. I've also noticed that my undereye concealer hasn't creased once I began this powder. My big issue with anti-shine products in the past was that it'd keep my face matte only for an hour (if not less, after applying my make-up, depending on the weather) and the oils begin to show. This powder blows ALL of the products I've used in the past. Oilies didn't begin to show until mid-day and my face when I got home felt lighter and less oily. If you have the same issue as I do, this product is very well worth it for the price.
P.S. I heard this is limited edition. If it's true, I'll make sure I get back-ups. :)

I went to MAC Studio Talk in my area and the instructor recommended this powder during the class. Its a white powder that applies colorless, but leaves a soft smooth finish. It does a good job of slowing down the oilies. It also contains cornstarch, which probably enhances its oil absorbing properties. I always apply my MSF Natural pressed powder over this to add to the matte look.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! i have oily skin and this keeps my skin from looking shiny and looks matte for a very long time. it also makes my pores look smaller since i have large pores :[ It is a little pricey but you only need very little so that jar would probably last you a very very long time. i would def. recommend this to anyone with oily skin or large pores. would def. repurchase this.

SO IN LOVE WITH THIS!!!! I paid triple the price for La Mer loose finishing powder and this wins HANDS DOWN. I put on my studio sculpt foundation and dusted this all over with my 187 and my foundation has NOT MOVED ALL DAY LONG. This has never happened with ANYYYY other setting powder I've ever tried. I used this on a bridal party today and they ALL asked what it was. So glad they don't have to worry about their makeup melting off! Great product.

I have been dying to try MUFE HD Powder, but just haven't gotten around to getting it. When I was in my local Macy's recently, I noticed this little powder, so I immediately went to the MAC counter. I asked the SA if this was pretty much MAC's version of the HD powder, and she said yes. So I bought it immediately.
Anyway, I really should I have tried it out first. I am a very pale PPP, emphasis on very pale, so I figured the white would just blend in and it would be come translucent. Unfortunately, no matter how much I blended, I always had a white-ish cast to my skin. Even my friend noticed in the daylight. I think I'm just so pale (with pinkish-undertones) that anything white on my skin would immediately stand out. So unfortunately, for me, the MAC powder is going back, and I'm sticking to my Tarte Mineral Powder or MAC Blot. But I have no regrets in trying it, and hope it works for someone else! I think it's a great idea- just not for me!

Saw this on at the MAC store the other day and thought it's just one of those colourless setting powder, but then I walked closer and saw the words prep + prime.....that made me ask the SA what this is for.
It turns out you can use this both before you apply your powder foundation or after your liquid one. She tried it on the back of my hand and oohhh....it feels so smooth and so I just had to have it (LOL).
To prep for power foundation it makes your skin really smooth and so when applying powder foundation afterwards you'd notice that your brush won't drag on the skin, especially if you are using a synthetic brush.
To Prime it sets really well and has a softening affect, ideal for fine lines under eyes or on the face.
I'm very please that with this both it's performance and it's lightness. Not sure how oil resistant it is once summer hits, but so far so good.
Note: The SA at the MAC store taught me to apply with a sponge.
UPDATE: SUMMER is here and It's crazy hot where I live, my combo t-zone is pumping an oil slick. = ( I notice that when I wear this to either set or prime my foundation would last a lot longer and definitely hold off that shine. Really loving this helping my foundation stay on longer matter in the t-zone.

***HG FINISHING POWDER***
I looooove it! All you need is a little swish across the entire face after you're done with your regular makeup application. The fine powder sets everything in place. I typically get shiny on my nose when I arrive to work, but this has saved me from blotting and reapplying powder throughout the day. Bye Bye mineral veil. I've found love.

I'm loving this so far. I was setting my Studio Fix Fluid with MSF Natural and it was so cakey and it altered the color of my foundation. With this powder, my makeup is set perfectly with ZERO cakiness. It doesn't settle into my pores, it doesn't change the color of my foundation, and it has pretty great staying power. And it's so comfortable to wear! I don't look or feel powdery. I think we're talking an HG powder here!

I really love this product as it mattifies my oily skin without looking caked on any dry or flaky patches. It also doesn't turn orange after about an hour!
I use a kabuki brush to buffer it in and when I do this my pores look reduced which is a HUGE plus for me and this means that I can wear MSF without my pores looking huge.
Im not sure if it helps to keep my makeup on longer, although I was working with pre-school kids earlier and my makeup looked just as good as when I put it on.
I dont like the packaging, the lid never seems to go on right, and I would love a compact version to carry about with me but I guess beggars cant be choosers!!
I would highly recommend to anyone with oily skin who has enlarged pores and probelms with powders turning orange.
I am paler than NC15 for reference.

So I was using MUFE's powder and was taking pictures one night and OMG horrible, I had white spots all over my face, sooo gross, so when this came out I was skeptical.. I am so glad I got this though!! Sets my makeup all day, does not leave white patches in pictures, very smooth and easily blended, omg sooooo love this poweder!

LOVE THIS!! It's transparent so it works on any skin tone, and over any foundation color. It basically uses light diffusers to blur out the skin giving a smooth, flawless, line free appearance.

i'm so happy i made the snap decision to pick this up. i wasn't planning to, but i saw it while i was at the counter and figured eh why not. i was returning my studio sculpt foundation at the time so i just did an exchange.
i'm so happy i did! i really love it. it makes my pores basically invisible and sets my liquid (or powder) foundation really well and makes it last all day. and you only need a tiny bit, so even though it's sort of expensive, i can see this lasting me quite a long time.
when i run out, i think i'm going to try a cheaper silica powder just to compare, but i think this product is worth every penny and as long as it's not limited edition, i'll definitely repurchase.
