Extremely happy with this foundation. No too heavy at all, just provides a very good coverage (I even could handle more coverage, because I like that porcelain doll skin :)) I do have to use extra concealer on top of this, to cover my undereye circles. Anyway, the price is very cheap for such a product, and I like the stick formula because it's easy to carry around. I have it in Natural, and it suits pretty well for my light skin.

I originally bought Pan Stik in Olive, thinking it would be a better match for my skin. WRONG. It was a nasty pink/orange color, DO NOT BUY THAT, I don't see how it would match anyones skin tone!! I went back and purchased Nude Ivory, as it was the lightest color. I'm glad I did, matches my skin perfectly. This Pan-Stik is a pretty nice product - for the first few hours anyhow. My skin looked SO LOVELY when I applied it, and for about 3 hours it continued to do so. I'm going through a bad blemish phase, and it covered everything, and make my skin look so dewy. IN 3 hours time my beautiful looking skin started to 'crack', you could see all my dry patches :(. I had moisturized very well. I think my skin might be a bit too try for this product at the moment, but I LOVE how it made my skin look, I will be using again when I sort my dry skin out.

Oh cr*p. I think this stuff is best foundation I have ever had. Too bad b/c I hate the company. My skin is dry and this can be adjusted for the coverage. Nothing works as well as this on my skin. So flawless and I dont need a separate concealer. I have the lightest shade nude ivory. I hate the ones that comes on a pan... this comes in a stick and therefore the product stays more clean. EDIT: This is breaking me out.

This is a nice, creamy stick foundation. It provides great coverage and is excellent for drier skins. If it came in a slightly lighter shade, it would be my favorite foundation.

For reference, I am an extremely PPP blonde with pink undertones. I prefer stick/creme foundations as they provide natural coverage of the redness in my skin as well as old acne scars. Panstik is actually one of the original Max Factor products, and was introduced around 1947

WORD OF ADVICE: DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS TELL YOU. YOU GOTTA TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELF TO SEE IF IT'LL BE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR SKIN. Ever since I tried this product the first time, I'm hooked! The coverage is awesome and it doesn't look cakey or fake even in the daytime. The texture goes on smoothly and smells pleasant. This is definitely a MUST-HAVE item. You gotta try it if you like good coverage!

I really, really love this product. It has great coverage, (it can even be used as a concealer alone) and since you don't need a lot make your complexion look smooth,(a little goes a long way) it won't feel thick or cakey on your face.

Much too heavy to use as a foundation, but does an admirable job as a concealer. :)

I have combo, acne prone and slightly flaky skin. This (at least during winter) too often accents the flakiness on my nose and forehead. (I only use foundation on t-zone, under eye and acne spots)As an under eye concealer it is pretty good, however if have deep blue under eye circles like mine, don't expect it to erace them, just somewhat diminish their appearance. Oh and I would put on a moisturizer like jojoba or olive oil, or eye cream first. On pimples it was .. okay. At first the panstick was rather pink on my fair, neutral skin. However, after a few months it turned more orangish. This was actually good for me, but could be vice versa for others. I may buy it again if I cannot found anything better.

This is a heavy coverage foundation that does not feel heavy on my skin at all. It has a faint powdery smell that dissipates very quickly. I hate anything near my face that smells, as anything can get nauseating after awhile, and this I don't even think about. The fact that I got a good color match in true beige, makes this a hands down, must always have, winner for me.

SO thick. A little orange on my face but it does do a good job covering pretty much everything. I havent tried applying with a wet sponge but i think i should because it sounds like people get better results doing that and my skin is fairly clear, so a sheer foundation would work for me.

Packaging: As others have said, you cannot see the actual shade. The shade is printed on, and it's not accurate. Buy it at a drugstore that will take it back if it's not a match.

Reason I got it: Someone on this site said St. Ives apricot scrub had cancer causing agents in it. I went to the website, ewg.org and found that my current foundation, L'oreal visible lift was high on the bad chemicals list. I bought the Pan Stick because it was on the good end, with few harmful chemicals.
I worried about buying it. My memory of it from the past was of something very thick and heavy. I read the packaging. It reccommends using a wet sponge for sheerer coverage. I started by using it as a concealer--under eye, smile lines, then used my sponge filling in the rest of the areas. I'd do it the other way around next time...put it on sheerly, then go over spots I need more coverage.I was actually pleased. I didn't use a wet sponge, but I used a light hand. I was able to go out in the day without looking overdone, although it's slightly more coverage than I'm used to. I will use the wet sponge tecnique next time. It is not for anyone with oily skin.I put powder on after applying it, to make my powder eyeshadows/blush go on better. Too much powder on top will give you a heavy, cakey look. Next time, I'll just put powder on my eyes and cheeks to prime.I was afraid I'd be disappointed changing to this product out of safety concerns, but overall, I am actually quite pleased. I will probably buy this again.
UPDATE: It seemed to make my pores look bigger after a few times using it. I didn't like that.

This product doesnt have many shade varieties. I bought the lightest shade, and when I put it on I look orange. Yet, the coverage is great, better than any other drugstore foundation I have ever used. I also love the ease of use.. it's in a stick form, you just swipe it on and go. Overall I like this product, but the shade selection is very limited. I only use this when I am going somewhere that I know the lighting will be dim.

I don't really use this as a foundation. I take it out with me for touch ups during the day, instead of taking my foundation with me. It provides VERY heavy coverage, and could really be used as a concealer. It is very easy to use - like a glue stick, just twist and up it comes! It doesn't come in many colour shades. I brought the medium one by mistake, now this looks incredibly orange in the box. And I have quite pale skin - but it blends so easily that couldn't be noticed. If I looked really closely then you could see that it was slightly too dark for me. But if I had chosen the correct colour then I think I would have been more impressed. So overall a fantastic foundation, lasts, compact, blends easily. But provides so much coverage - that may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you want. But for touch ups during the day it is fine.

I have this in Beige and its the perfect color. I also like the tube. Its very quick and easy to use. I didn't like that it was cakey looking. It also was sticky. Use this for a conceler.

A friend of mine gave it to me. I liked the coverage, thought the color was okay(it was natural or nude..sth like that.not too many shades to choose from) hated it overall. It was really thick and waxy, it contains Mineral Oil and Beeswax which makes me(and most pimple pronee girls) break out and it kinda got cakey after a while. it looked very fake. Unless u never break out and have no wrinkles at all, i wouldnt recommend this.

I'm not sure how most people use this, but I've been using this as a concealor for about a year or so now. It's one of the best concealors I've found---full coverage, creamy, and lasts all day once set with powder. I have two complaints though, which is why I took off 1 lippie:

1- The scent. It's not unpleasant, and in fact, I don't mind it at all. My whole argument is why is it there? There's really not any good point.

2- The packaging. Super petty, I know, but the packaging is rather ugly, plus the gold has scratched off a bit from being in my makeup bag.

All around, this is a great product though--- would be a HG for me if it wasn't for the scent.

BTW, I'm a MAC C3, and the shade True Beige is a great match for me!

My absolute HG concealer..I dont know how I survived without it! I love the coverage and the fact that it seems to tach my natural skin color almost perfectly, so I can just use it on problem spots. I have very oily skin and this stick didn't seem to make it any more or less oily, and it is definitely the BEST concealer I've ever bought.

I love this product. I have been using it for years. It is good for dry skin. I blend this with a damp sponge and I get many compliments. If you don't like full-coverage, you won't like this. This covers everything.

Somebody slap me, will ya? I went out and bought this without reading the reviews fully. I wanted something similar to Covergirl auquasmooth but without sunscreen. I got Natural, and it is too pink. Cakes up a bit around my eyes. I am in the same boat as the other reviewer who said that Max Factor should come out with a light yellow shade. Why do all the cream foundations out there have such horrible colors? I only experimented with Auquasmooth because they had sample packs. I am too embaressed to bring back Pan Stick to the store. Shame on me for being so dumb as to buy a drug store foundation because usually you can not test before you buy!

I love this foundation. I have tried many brands and nothing covers like pan stick foundation. It is a little heavy if you don't know what you are doing but if you dab it on and use a wet makeup sponge to blend it is a dream. It covers blemishes and stays on all day if set with a nice powder. This is my all time favorite foundation that is tried and true through the generations. I know why max factor has been around for so long and is used by professionals. It is not expensive and it works like a dream.
