Burned my skin and turned it really red!! In addition, it smelled horrible...returned it right away.

I really like this product. I bought it for an overseas flight, when my skin ALWAYS freaks out. It really calmed it down, and I was so pleased with it. It is too heavy for me to use on a daily basis (causes midday greasies), so I use it at night. It really reduces my mild redness and never make me break out. It would be an HG moisturizer, if it weren't for the scent! I really don't mind the floral scent, but my DH hates it and it makes his eyes water in bed. Bummer, but I probably won't repurchase unless we start sleeping in separate beds! ;-)

I would buy this again...unless something better presented itself to me. I've had bad luck with moisturizers. I have sensitive/acne-prone (MA should make more choices for profiles so we can check multiple boxes) and this is the only thing that didn't totally break me out and was actually pretty soothing.

This isn't my all- time favorite moisturizer (that prize goes to MAC's Studio Finish, but at half the price, this is more affordable), but it's a great product.
Unlike the Positively Radiant moisturizer, this one gives me just enough moisture without looking too greasy. I know PR is supposed to give a "dewy" finish, but it looks too greasy on me.
Not so with this one. It gives me just the right finish, and looks great under my makeup.

I started to use this product because I noticed that since I moved to California, and continued with my skin care regiman (Retin-A micro at night, and Clindamycin gel in AM), that my face was getting redder and redder. I thought I would try this to help calm down my skin. It helped greatly. My face is less red and the only time I get dry patches is if I over do it on my RAM. Overall I like this product, but it is a bit pricey.

If this is supposed to "soothe irritated or sensitive skin", why does it burn my face? If it is supposed to "reduce redness", why does it make my face even redder? I hate this stuff!

Good under makeup, a very gentle SPF 15, and it is very calming to my rosacea, so at least it delivers on its promises. It costs more than I like to pay for any one product, but I'm kind of cheap.
Update: I can't use this anymore, it started to irritate my skin. I forgot to mention this the first time, but I hate the smell of it too.

very pale skin with rosacea and flakiness. even a washcloth can irritate skin. noticed a difference within a day! bought this to use in the day and the heavier cream version at night. the cream irritated so use this nightime also. need another cream on top for winter weather as it is not so moisturizing on dry skin. pores have disappeared. blotchiness and flakiness gone. love it..

I go back and forth about this. Sometimes it works, and other times it makes me slightly angry. It smells too strongly, and the chemical SS doesn't inspire the same confidence as a physical SS, but it doesn't break me out as far as I can tell, and it is mildly soothing for a little while. If I ever became more oily, this would be nice, but for now it's never enough moisture for me, even though it leaves me feeling kinda oily. I'm only 24, but my skin is really quite dry, and has an awful tendency to be dry underneath and oily on top, so I guess this daytime moisturizer is good for layering. It's a good concept, but it has real room for improvement. For one thing, it really should not have benzyl alcohol so high on the ingredient list; I think that might be causing irritation for a lot of people, especially those already prone to inflammation, even with oily skin. Second, adding at least one physical sunscreen might make it more gentle. And mostly, the fragrance should be toned down, and preferably not added at all.

I like this and have been using it every day for the past few months. The consistency is similar to other lotions; maybe a tad thicker, and absorbs into my skin quickly.
I have sensitive skin and typically use products with SPF in them with no problems; this one was no exception. It does what it is supposed to do and I am generally pleased with it. The fragrance, to me, is pleasant, soft and nothing to complain about.

This "calming" product irritated my rosacea-prone skin. Why would they put an irritating ingredient like a chemical sunscreen in a product and then call it a "calming" product? Too bad they didn't use zinc oxide instead.

I am allergic to so many lotions and this one works for me! It is not too heavy and has a nice fragrance. I have dry skin and it moisturizes nicely.

Disappointed with this moisturizer. Aveeno usually doesn't have a lot of extra frills and fragrances in its products, but this one does - it has SPF and fragrance. I usually am not allergic to either, but I reacted horribly to this moisturizer. I had a burning, itchy face and got dry and flaky within a week of using it. It also made my face red and bumpy, not calm like it was supposed to. There's no way I'm using this on my face anymore!

I don't have acne prone skin, but this gives me clogged pores. The moisturizing properties are just right for me and I like how soft my skin feels directly after using this, but it's just not worth it for a face full of clogged pores. I agree with a few other reviewers, the first week or so of using this it stung my face. What's up with that?

This is a mediocre moisturizer that isn't even moisturizing enough. I even had dry flakes from it. I didn't notice any calming effect for my skin as it often gets small red bumps (not pimples) if I use the wrong products. The fragrance in there is a big no-no for sensitive skin. I'm suspect that some of the red bumps I got might be due to it because I don't have anymore of them a few months after I stopped using this.

Good product - I have oily, acne-prone skin and it doesn't aggravate it. I'm not sure how "calming" it is... I don't think it is super effective at decreasing my redness, but it goes on nicely and didn't contribute to breakouts. I also like the sunscreen. Light smell, doesn't bother me. Pricey for drugstore moisturizer but quite good in my opinion.

i have really sensitive skin (combo/dry/acne prone) and i think this might be my new favorite moisturizer. or maybe i'm just so happy because it's not as horrid as aveeno's positively radiant moisturizer. hopefully my opinion won't change in the near future. *UPDATE* i absolutely love this stuff. my skin has gotten a little bit clearer (although i still get the occasional zit; i'm just unlucky) and the redness has toned down enough for me to notice. skin is less blotchy and more even too! i really liked their clear complexion moisturizer, but this has seriously upstaged it. i'll even call it HG material.

I got this product after it was recommended for my skintype in Dr. Braumann's Skin Type Solution Book. I've used it for about a week and have seen a huge different in the appearance of my skin! I usually wake up in the mornings with a red, flushed, slightly oily face. But since using this product I wake up with out any oiliness, or redness. It smells incredibly, soaks in nicely and dosen't leave a film. I feel like my skin can breathe, its super calming to my skin when applied. Im prone to breakouts and my skin has cleared up so much since adding this to my daily routine. The pump bottle is really nice, sanitary and easy to travel with. Thank you Dr. Braumann!!!!!!
