This is such an amazing product for the price. This mascara holds it own against higher end ones like Youngblood, MAC, Lancome and Estee Lauder. The new little pink wand and revamped formula makes for a low cost wonder of a mascara. You must go out and get this as you will not regret it. Best bargain buy in my makeup kit and I probably use it more than anything else in my collection.

hands down , the best mascara ! it reminds me of the lancome hypnotuse mascara . the brush is shaped like a heart & it works very well . if only all mascaras came with this brush. i used this product everyday because it works magic.it seperates your lashes one by one ,even the smallest ones in the corners, making it look like you have sooooo many ! & it adds loads of volume too ! i get many compliments on my "skyscraper lashes" its my go to mascara & for only $4 ! this does wonders. you should at least try it out for the price & realize how much youll love it. i definetely reccomend it ! Maybelline's best mascara yet ! AMAZING LENGTH & VOLUME

Way better than the original great lash, but that doesn't say too much. To be fair, I did like it the first couple of times that I used it. The brush is.. Interesting, but it does do a good job of coating the entire lash. I have to wipe off the brush before using it because the formula is so wet. Usually weighs down my lashes and completely destroys my curl. It does however do a decent job at lengthening and defining. It's also surprisingly long lasting. The deal breaker is that I get spidery lashes every now and then when I apply one coat too many ( usually by third). Not cool. I'm holding out hoping that the product will dry a bit and improve. Oh, but this is a good lower lash mascara since it doesn't smudge much and define well.

This is the best of Great Lash so far. I've tried to like the original Great Lash, but it just clumps too much and doesn't hold curl. The different brush to this particular type of Great Lash makes all the difference in the world. However, I am taking away one lippie because I wish it were long enough to cover my entire lashline. I have to start from one corner of an eye, dip the wand into the tube again, then finish the other corner, which is a little bit of a pain. This mascara doesn't clump, flake or smudge, and it lasts.

I LOVE THIS MASCARA! This is probably one of my favorite mascaras of all time! The wand is difficult at first and almost awkward to apply, but once you get the hang of it the mascara is amazing!!! I have naturally pretty long lashes but when i apply even just a little of this to my top and bottom lashes my lashes look miles long!! LOVE this mascara and would definitely recommend!

This it great! I love it, the brush is small but i like it. My standards for mascara isn't that high but i love it. My go-to mascara each day. It doesn't really clump, and it definitely defines my lashes

LOL lots of lashes. It made my lashes clump together and I don't like the brush. It was hard to apply mascara to my bottom lashes. I only tried it because it was on sale at Walmart.

I honestly didn't expect this mascara to be good - since the original great lash was horrible. I figured since it had (better) reviews than the original and it had a cool brush, I'd try it. I LOVE it! It stays on, doesn't smudge or flake, holds a curl, and volumizes. It also doesn't look clumpy. I really love the brush - the big end works to get the main part of your eyelashes, and the little tip works to get it in the inner and outer corners, and bottom eyelashes without getting it all over below my eyes. I would definately repurchase.

I love this mascara - it's actually one of my favorites. This was the first mascara that I bought that I realized, "Wow, even though I have extremely long eyelashes, mascara isn't a total waste of time on me." It's great - I don't need length, I need volume, and that's what this mascara gives me. It has a nice brush, the packaging's pretty cute (although I did put it on my makeup back and it got pretty dirty.) The only complaint that I have is that it's difficult to put it on my bottom lashes - I'm not exactly sure why. It doesn't seem to clump on my top lashes, although sometimes (however, this is rare) there is clumping on my bottom lashes. I would definitely buy this again.

Maybelline always makes great mascaras and this one definitely did not disappoint! Love the brush shape; it helps make my lashes really long; and, as usual, Blackest Black is the shade I use to bring out my eye color.

First off, I actually like original great lash as well as great lash BIG, so this formula usually isn't a problem for me. Because of that I think the problem must be the brush. I get loads of clumps that make it look like I had 3 lashes. Gross. The brush is also actually really bad at getting the outer and inner lashes the brush is TOO tiny and you'd have to get each lash individually which would take forever and itd be more likely you'd just poke yourself in the eye. I've tried loads of mascaras and there's only been one before that I've thrown away without finishing it. After this one it's gonna be two. And I think this one was worse than the first one. (flirt defining mascara)

I have no idea if I got this in waterproof or not. I just grabbed it off the shelf. That's about the most I remember about this POS mascara. I applied it, my lashes clumped, there was no extra volume, no extra thickness, no extra oomph...nothing good. Then by the end of the day I had smudges under my eyes. I'd never recommend this.

I'm loyal to my Dior Diorshow mascara, but saw that this was on sale for only $3 at my local drugstore so I bought a tube for me and my cousin. First off, I can see why there are very differing opinions. I'm Asian and my only requirement for being a good mascara is that it can give me volume. If I see a picture of myself and you can't even see my eyelashes then I don't use it again. This did give me volume, and since I don't have a ton of eyelashes the clumpiness didn't really bother me. However my cousin (who is only half-Asian) has the thickest, longest eyelashes and yes, I AM jealous. People have commented on them since she was a little girl. They don't have any volume though and just stick out straight from her eyes. She put on this mascara and her eyelashes went halfway between her eyebrows and the base of her eyelids. The amount of volume was ridiculous. But it made her eyelashes look clumpy and spiky. Not a good look.

The brush is the reason why there's so much volume...I've tried Great Lash before and have never been impressed. I wish they could somehow combine the volume from the brush but figure out the piecey-ness issue.

I bought this in the color Blackest Black, and I have to say I LOVE it. I wasnt too sure about buying this since I did not like the original Great Lash - it didnt do anything special for me. But this one, WOW it makes my lashes looks so good with just ONE coat! With lash blast it took me like 2-3 coats to get the look I get with this one. I will keep buying as long as they keep making it. I think a lot of it has to do with the brush. I love the price of this too! Under $5!

I read the reviews here and was startled by how good they were. But as I bought this in CVS, I had a bad feeling. I KNEW I shouldn't do it, but the reviews and the awesome-looking brush pushed my apparently weak mind to go ahead and buy it.

TERRIBLE mistake. This is the same shitty Great Lash I used in highschool with a neato brush. It flaked all over and gave me no length (nor volume). To further compound how much I suck, I also lost the reciept and cannot return it. It isn't the worst mascara I've ever used, and thank dog it was only $5. I gave it two stars because of the brush, but other than that it was just all-around awful like all the other Great Lash mascaras.

Kudos Maybelline - you have finally introduced a decent brush in one of your mascaras - good for you! The formula is the same as in the original Great Lash Mascara but this brush is by far SO superior to the other brush I've used since the 70's. Too bad they didn't come out with this back then - they would have sold millions more tubes. Live & learn I guess. :-) I will actually be re-purchasing a Maybelline mascara for the 1st time in years.

They say that brush is tiny at the top so that it "grabs all the little lashes" but it really seems to make them clump.

It's more tedious to apply mascara because the brush is so small.

The mascara does make my eyelashes look long, BUT they look spidery and thin. If you want full, thick eyelashes, I do not recommend this.

Although I am not a fan of the Urban Decay Mascara Primer, I used that today before the mascara and I am more pleased with the results. They look slightly thicker and more full. But I don't want applying mascara to be a two step deal every morning, it's not worth it.

TL;DR: Unless you intentionally want spider lashes, stay away from this. The wand is a gimmick. (Isn't it always?)

EDIT 12/27/11: FLAKES EVERYWHERE!!... when I apply mascara, I get flakes in my eyeballs. When I remove my mascara, I get flakes in my eyeballs. Not an attractive look at all.

I like this mascara. I wear it on days i don't feel like wearing makeup. The brush is what got my attention. The application is good. My lashes didn't stick together or clump. I like this one definitely better than GLB. I wouldn't purchase again, because it dries out quickly.

I bought this item because I thought the funny little shape of the wand would be great. Wrong. It just clumps my lashes and does not aid in separating them. It also take quite a while to put on. This is because the brush is so eetsy bitsy that you have to do the lashes in like 3 sections. I do not recommend.

I really dislike this mascara. What originally drew me to it is that the brush shape is similar (though not exact) to the new Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes brush that I'd seen. However, this mascara clumped my lashes and gave me that spidery look. Yes, it gave defnition, so it got two lippies. However, I'm not a fan of clumpy, brittle looking lashes. Will definitely not repurchase it. Actually, I usually try to use up mascaras even if I don't prefer them. This one will be thrown away.
