I love this product! i had a mini makeover in the macy's benefit counter and they put it on me and used bluff dust to set it, i have an olive skin tone so they used you rebel(tan colored one) when i saw myself in the mirror i absolutely loved it. My friend saw me too and was surprised how much of a difference it made. I noticed it evened out my skin tone which i lvoe since all the foundations i have used make my skin look cakey but with this moisturizer it leaves my skin looking fab!

I love this product. I love the smell. Best of all I love how it feels on. It feels weightless. It evens out my skin tone and blends perfectly. I use Firmology and then put Rebel Lite on over it. Perfect Combo!

I am an NC35-37 and I love this product! I've been using it for a little over a week now. I have never used tinted moisturizers as a foundation so I didn't expect much coverage. However, You Rebel covers the occasional red blotches on my cheeks and under my chin during those super humid days. Therefore, it does a great job in evening out my skin tone before I apply powder or foundation. Before buying You Rebel, I used Neutrogana Moisture in Sheer Tint for approximately 13 years. In comparison, I felt that You Rebel produced a less dewy look and had more coverage than the Neutrogena Moisture. I apply it with a foundation brush which avoids oils from my hands from transmitting to my face. Since first using it, I feel a difference in my overall complexion and the texture of my face. My face is less oily in the T-zone and my powder goes on a lot smoother. I think I've found my HG moisturizer. =)

I actually liked this a lot. Perhaps not a lot of coverage, but still considerably good being a tinted moisturizer. Everything else is just too heavy for me and clogs my pores. But this is very light and I love the way it makes me skin looks. It's not cakey at all it just looks like I have nice youthful skin.

I was looking for a tinted moisturizer that offered some sun protection and came across this. I tried You Rebel and You Rebel Lite on the back of my hand and neither seemed like they would be a good match. You Rebel was fake tan orange and the Lite was yellow-ish. Then, an in-your-face SA saw me and I tried to run, but those people are relentless. She insisted that I put it on my face - that it wouldn't look yellow. She went to retrieve "what she needed" and came back with 10 products I told her I wasn't interested in. She proceeded to try to smear That Gal primer on my face. At that point, I almost walked away. She saw my frustration and put ONLY the You Rebel Lite on. She used a foundation brush and applied way too much product to half my face. When I looked in the mirror, my half-done face was SO shiny. I was absolutely not going to buy this product.
She said she'd "even it out" and take out the shine, so I could walk around the mall and not hate her. After she applied the powder, my face looked flawless. I ended up buying You Rebel Lite and the Georgia face powder. I don't leave home with it now.
I love that it has an SPF in it - not enough for beach time, but perfect for running around town. I love that I can wear it on its own, OR layer it under my mineral make-up for a *little* extra coverage. It moisturizes very well, and I can now skip that step in my every day routine.
It IS expensive, but you only need a tiny bit, and the tube looks like it will last for quite some time, even with daily use.
Do yourself a favor - go to sephora and get a sample that you can take home and use for a few days. Be SURE to set this with a powder after you apply. Also, it's probably not great for oily skin unless you use a mattifier like Everyday Minerals Silk Dust over the top.

I was on the lookout for a time saving complexion perfecting miracle product last weekend and thought that this stuff was perfect. However this is clearly not the case which is very disappointing for me!
Good points:
1. You get 50ml for £19.50. I think this is a good deal.
2. the packaging is cute and practical and know how much you've got left.
3. The shade is good as a "universal" colour. Yellow based as well.
4. It is good at moisturising and blends well.
Bad points:
1. It is a tad too dark for me which I personally don't like
2. It leaves my skin feeling either greasy or too dry depending on how much I apply.
3. The coverage is ok but it's not enough, i thought it would be better considering how thick the product is.
4. It transfers onto my mobile phone!! NOT good!
5. It's not long lasting.
Overall this product is just average. And to be frank, i'm looking for anything BUT an average product for my skin. I want something that multitasks, is quick to apply and makes my skin look good. This was my 2nd foray into TM type foundations and I have to say it may be that this type of product just isn't me. It's a very nice product, I still love it - but it's just not something I feel comfortable wearing everyday which is a big shame because I had high hopes after testing instore.
UPDATE:
I have upgraded this to a 5 - I tried it in a rush one day and wasn't so careful as I had been before applying it. I put it on in bad light but my skin was glowing when I looked at it in proper light. I love the way this evens my skin out but doesn't cover it like other products have.
My previous review was very negative and I think I've got the hang of applying this properly now, i really like it and it makes my skin look more flawless than other foundations with heavier coverage! I use it every day now!! I'ts also very quick in the mornings!!

I bought this from Sephora on a whim, because I've been looking for a tinted moisturizer for a while. I use MAC Studio Fix Powder in C25 and have dry skin that flakes a lot.
What I like: Almost everything! The color matches my skin tone perfectly and blends in seamlessly. I love that it has SPF (although 15 is not enough in my opinion) and it gives decent coverage. It doesn't fully cover up my freckles but I'm not too fussy about that -- it's not meant to be a full-coverage foundation.
I like the packaging, even though it's kind of chunky. At least I know I'm getting a lot of product for my $28!
I set it with MAC Studio Fix for a really flawless finish.
And this is silly; but I really like that there's an expiration date clearly stamped on the tube!
What I don't like: Seems kinda greasy when I first apply it, so I try to use it sparingly and only on areas that I feel I really need it. I also rub it in like I would a moisturizer and give it some time to sink into my skin before I apply anything else over it. It gave my skin a glow but also made it look a bit oily so I applied powder over it to mattify it. Also, II'm hoping that I'll be able to get all the product out of the tube when it's finishing...I would hate to waste stuff!
I'll keep on using it and see if my opinion changes -- otherwise, I will repurchase!

I really love this stuff. Its not very often that I feel like my complexion is very good, but this will be the stuff I'll be wearing when I do! I love that it has SPF, its nice that there's not a whole lot of color matching (that might be its biggest allure to me), and its so nice and smooth that even on days I feel like I need a little more coverage, I can use this as my daily moisturizer and place my regular foundation over top or mix the two together. This has become one of my must-haves!

I received a sample tube of this. When it came out of the tube it looked yellow (which I'm always looking for, because I have rosacea and yellow-toned makeup counteracts the redness) but after about twenty minutes on my skin, it turned orange! So dissapointing! Perhaps it's because I have oily combination skin (the orange tone was more noticeable on my T-zone, which of course is oilier than my cheeks) so this might be okay for someone with normal-to-dry skin.

I tried some other tint ones but they either made my face oily or would dissapear in 2-4 hrs. Fist I was not sure buying this but once I tried it I LOVE IT, and all it need is some loose powder over it and its good to go for the whole day. LOVE It
This is the update. I actually came to relize the I hate the smell and its kinda to dark, and worse it will make your fae oily. also one you reach the middle the smell gets stronger and it will smell like a metal. I would not buy this again. Now I am using the customized prescritives tint and I love it.

You Rebel Lite is my first tinted moisturizer, and it's very nice. It has a little color, not overbearing, and it doesn't get everywhere. The coverage is very light like it suggests, so if you're looking for a lot, look elsewhere. The smell is delightful and I like the metal packaging. I would recommend this for drier climates/seasons. It's extremely mositurizing and if it's warm outside you'll notice. I knocked off a star for the intense moisture that can get greasy if you're not careful, and for the extremely light color. I guess I should try the regular next time instead of the "lite" but overall I do like this quite a bit.

I've had this sample from SEPHORA for a while and I had been waiting for the right ocassion to try it out (the right ocassion being a day I didn't want to have a full-face of make-up on.) My final verdict is that this stuff is GREAT!
If you don't like wearing too much make-up or just don't want to fuss, this stuff is great! It provides minimal coverage but it certainly does even out your whole complexion! The pigmentation is just enough for my light/medium skin tone. I see myself wearing this on days where I don't want to bother with a lot of make-up but still want to feel confident with my skin. It provides light coverage and lets my real complexion shine through. The added SPF is a great bonus!

I got this product as a sample with my Sephora order and I have to say, when I first applied this today, it started off with this heavy, thick greasy feel for me (might be because I had another moisturizer on already) and the smell of this stuff was STRONG. I instantly decided that I didn't like it and promptly gave the rest of the sample packet to my roommate, who wanted to try a tinted moisturizer. However, after a few hours, the stuff seems to have sunk into my skin a little better and has definitely evened out my skin tone and feels nice and light. However, since the smell of the product is so gross to me and it's fairly expensive, I'm unsure that I would buy this product at it's full retail price, though I'm considering it on account of the slightly dry skin i've recently developed, as It doesn't leave patches on my skin to clearly show that I'm wearing makeup
EDIT: The lady at the benefit counter put this on me yesterday...and lo and behold...I broke out...badly...I have at least 10 pimples now...

This was another free sample I got from the Benefit counter. They gave me a very generous done of it, especially since a little goes a long way with this. The color was perfect for my skin tone and my skin looked more even and brighter. The coverage is light, don't expect miracles. The only downside was a.) the sunscreen smell, which lasts a while. Not something I necessarily want. b.) my nose looked extra oily wearing this after three hours. Not a huge deal, nothing a blotting tissue can't fix, but still.

I received this as a sample from Sephora, and I have to say I am pretty impressed. When I was younger, I was addicted to tinted moisturizers but as I got older I wanted something with a little more coverage and I have been using Chanel Teint Innocence. However, I really loved the color, application and texture of this product. It is definitely a light foundation, and gives light coverage, but the moisturizing factor is great because it feels nice on the skin and not at all like a thick foundation. I think this is great for an everyday natural look, but I probably wouldn't use it if I was going out for drinks or on a date with my husband! Still, I love having the option of wearing something quick and easy that blends easily into the skin, and I will probably stop by Sephora this wkend to purchase!

just to start off, for reference, i'm NW20.
i absolutely love this product. i always thought that i needed medium to heavy coverage b/c i have a face full of freckles and dark circles under my eyes that are hereditary. wonderful. i've gone back and forth with h/e and d/s foundations and concealers but was never really happy. always on the search for something new..something better.
well, i found it! turns out, i don't need super heavy coverage...far less than that. really all i need i found in this product. it helps even out my skin tone and let my true complexion shine thru. i honestly never thought my skin could look like this...especially with such little effort. my search is over. seriously. i can't applaud this product more. now, i have only been using it for a very short period of time, but up till now i've had no problems with acne, zits, etc b/c of it. if that changes i will update this review. by the end of the mid/end of the day my face does look a bit oily, but this doesn't in any way claim to be a matte finish, or claim to control oil. in fact, it's marketed as a tinted *moisturizer* so you have to keep that in mind with it. i always set it with powder...and i do have to retouch around lunch, then before i head home for the day. but it's minimal upkeep for the minimal work i have to put into my skin looking this great. no complaints there either. i did take off one lippie for packaging just b/c when you first buy it, the container is super sensitive to any type of squeezing (whether the cap is off or not), so when you open it, the moisturizer just starts overflowing. so there's a little waste at the beginning. but the container is super hygenic and really cute.
ladies, regardless of your complexion, check this product out. even if it's just a demo at the counter or a sample to try. it's worth. the only skin type that may have to watch out a little is oily since it is a moisturizer. but i have a combo skin - oily on chin/forehead - and i've been straight. love this stuff!

I remember when the original YOU REBEL was released over here: All of the magazines raved about this must-have product. “Adapts to all skin tones”. Off I merrily skipped to the nearest Benefit counter; let down. It doesn’t adapt to fairer skin tones after all. My search for the perfect tinted moisturizer continued/.
But now my prayers have been answered with the release of YOU REBEL LITE. This formula has been designed for the lighter Benefit followers. My skin tone is, at best, NC15, and I’ve had no difficulties blending this product seamlessly into my skin.
As this is a tinted moisturiser, the coverage is very sheer. YOU REBEL LITE exists mainly to even out your skin, whilst giving a healthy ‘glow’ to the skin. It doesn’t look cakey, and it doesn’t irritate my dry skin. The tube packaging means you can get all of the product out.

I've used this about 4-5 times now and I think it's pretty good. I have fair skin and freckles, which helps when dealing with make up shades b/c on someone without freckles you can easily tell if the color is off, but with my skin a lot of shades that fall within the 'fair to medium' range blend in quite well. This is one of those. I'm still not completely sold on it, and I haven't used it consistently enough to see if it causes my skin to breakout. I'm actually awaiting Tarte's Smooth Operator to arrive from Beauty.com and I'll keep whichever one I like better. This one from BeneFit is pretty 'thick' and smells very sunscreen-y. I do like that you don't need much product to cover your face though, so the tube seems like it will last a long time. Biggest problem I have so far is with shine. From the moment it hits my face, it's shiny, but after I apply setting powder it calms down a lot. I generally only wear this on the weekends when I don't put a lot of emphasis on making myself up. Overall, I like this. But this is the first tinted moisturizer I've used so I don't have much to compare this to. Oh, and the other reviewers were right about it having very little coverage power.

seems to work well for me. I have naturally dry skin so i'm not sure if it's drying it out more or the weather is just really bad. coverage is not *great* but for a person who cant wake up in the morning it gets the job done quickly and i look better afterwards.

My skin's been quite dry recently and my usual foundation was starting to look kinda heavy. I've decided to try to wean myself off a full coverage look, as I'm starting to think it's ageing me and apart from slight redness on my cheeks/nose, my skin is pretty good.
Have used the original You Rebel before, in summer, but even then found it a tiny bit dark and really had to apply it with a very light hand. Was pleased to see that Benefit had developed a lighter version.
Firstly, don't buy it if you are expecting much coverage. You won't get it. It really is very sheer. However, what it does do is even out the complexion and give a nice glowy (but in no way orange!) look. I like just being able to apply this all over my face instead of day cream and THEN foundation. I just use a bit of concealer under my eyes and a dab on my redder bits and it really is enough. The texture is light, but moisturising, leaving my skin hydrated but not oily. My skin's felt better since I've been using this, so not sure if it's down to this, or just leaving off the heavy foundation.
The colour is pretty light though and won't give a "tanned" look unless you are ultra ultra pale. My skin is fair and it's just about right at the moment, but in summer it may be a little too light.
I like the kooky metal tube and a little goes a long way. Would probably buy again as it's one of the few tinted moisturisers I've managed to use for more than a week without running screaming back to full foundation!
