Love this product!!! I was starting school in like 3 weeks, and wanted clear skin, and I had really bad darkspots. I had tried this product a year ago, but couldn't remember how it worked, so did a bunch of research on products for darspots/evening out skin tones. This was 7.00 at tj maxx, so I had to pick it up. At first, I used it 2x a week, but then iused it 3x a week. This didn't erase my darkspots complety, but my first day of school, my skin was looking much more even, I was very confident. Every morning, afer using this the night before, my spots would look lighter. It really is a great product. I used a LOT for each application, and I still have someleft, so I think it'll last awhile. Whenever I use it, my skin seems to get warm. Its not a bad thing, just like a warm sensation. Anyway, I would totally but this again!!

They say "timing is everything." I came across this product at TJ Maxx a week and a half ago and purchased it on a whim (for $7.99) came home, read the reviews and promptly began using. I have used 3x (yes, it says to use 2x/week, but hey, I'm impatient for results) and so far - WHOA - talk about results - my 4 areas of melasma have definitely lightened and 2 stubborn "bumps" (not exactly pimples, but not sure what they are) that have been present for 6 months = almost gone!!!


I started checking around on line - it appears this product is discontinued!!! (my timing sucks!) So, yesterday, I promptly marched back to TJ Maxx and bought up their remaining 5 tubes!

Now - to be honest - I had started incorporating a Vitamin C serum (40 carrots) 2 weeks ago into my routine, but the level of fading of my melasma was definitely substantially more w/ the addition of the Neutrogena.

If you have facial discoloration or stubborn bumps, and you are lucky to come across a tube of this, I would recommend you jump on it and get it (especially if you get at TJ Maxx or similar store for cheap!)

This was passed down to me from a friend, and I am so glad he gave it to me! I love to use this about once a week. It is non-irritating for my skin, and surprisingly gentle. It is easy to use, and keeps my skin looking fresh. However, I haven't seen it around, so I assume it has been discontinued?

I didnt intend to buy this but it was on sale so I decided to try it out. Boy was I SURPRISED!! I purchased this item last week.. have used it a total of 3x.. and I already notice a difference!! My skin has a brighter complexion.. parts of my face that were dark are more even now (under lower lip, around nose and eyes).. and my skin looks HEALTHIER! I love this so much I went out and bought another one! (they're on sale til fri =) You dont even need alot.. just a nice thin layer and it comes off easily with water. I applied the illuminating moisturizer right after.. let me tell you.. if you want SUPER SOFT skin.. try these two! I immediately felt a SIGNIFICANT difference. Its now part of my weekly routine. (ok so I've only done it for 2 weeks now but I'm now dedicating myself to it!)
09/09/09: Now discontinued! At least in Canada I know.. there's always eBay =)

Ooooh I love this stuff! I see a difference in the morning after using this. I have a ton of acne scars and it really lightens them. It is great b/c you just put it on and rinse after 10 minutes and it comes off easily. Hard to find by me so i order the two pack from amazon. The visibly even line is great (except the cleanser), great for acne scars.

I'm not trying to be an alarmist and ruin the good reviews, but I think my skin has had a very bad reaction to this product. I've used it a total of 3 or 4 times and each time my skin has felt itchy and I've gotten some sort of bump/irritation on my face afterwards. It has never "glowed" or even improved the texture/dryness. One would ask why I've continued, but each time I have persuaded myself into thinking that it was because of something else. Well, this time really screwed up my face. Perhaps it was because I had used another exfoliation product the day prior, but my face turned completely red, scaly and itchy with bubbles. Pretty sexy. Either way, this product is not for me. I've also had a bad reaction to the Alpha Beta Peel, and when I go for facials she is always reluctant to do anything to me so I'm probably in the minority here. However, if there is someone else who has had this experience, it's always good to share. Unfortunately, what's good for one person can be very bad for another.

I bought this product to help fade dark patches on my face. I have a disorder (pcos) that causes patches of darkness on my face. I am very self conscious about the spots and always looking for ways to hide the patches. That being said, I love this product! It has made the spots noticeably lighter and my skin texture is softer, too. I generally use the enzyme treatment twice a week for 10 mins each time. I also use visibly even foaming cleanser twice a day (once in the morning once at night). I still need to use foundation to fully cover the patches, but now I feel like my skin looks good even without having to wear makeup 24/7.

I absolutely love this mask. My skin is pretty dry and sensitive with the exception of my nose and forehead and most masks containing enzymes or acid sting. This did not and has a mild scent not to mention it leaves my skin sooo soft and glowing. After a month of using it 1-2 times a week I have noticed improvement in clarity and texture and the price isn't bad at all, not to mention a little goes a long way. Definetly buying again!

I use it about once a week, and leave it on for about 30 min (it says 7-10 minutes) but its gentle enough to leave on longer. Makes my skin look glowing and softer, not sure if it reduces discoloration like it says it does though. Will most likely buy again unless the price is too much ( i got this on on clearance).

I got this in hopes that it could diminish some of the acne scars left on my face due to hyperpigmentation and it didn't really do that. I gave it a two because it does leave my skin smoother and softer with a nice glow, but I could get that by exfoliating with an aspirin mask.

I just used this for the first time last night, so I might be jumping the gun a little for reviewing it so soon. This is the first exfoliator I've used that has an enzyme in it, and I'm very impressed. I love the fine texture of the exfoliating grains and the fact that this is both a mask and a scrub. My initial opinion is that this is the best exfoliator I've ever used. It left my skin very smooth, soft, and clean-- much more so than just a physical exfoliator can do. If this does actually live up to its claims and improve my skin and reduce breakouts over time, I'll bump my rating up to 5 points. *UPDATE 11/14/08*: I've been using this twice a week for a month, and I love it! My post-acne dark spots have faded faster with the regular exfoliation. My skin is smoother and any clogged pores are less noticeable.

I got this on clearance for about 5 dollars, but it retails for around $12 otherwise. I used this along with ABH's intensive repair serum, and after a few weeks, my skin tone is a LOT more even and lighter (I have warm med to dark skin and have problems with my face being darker than my chest sometimes) and my acne scars are faded. I can use this everyday with no irritation, but I use it about twice a week. I hope they aren't d/c this, but I went back to Longs recently, and snatched up two more for 2.50 dollars each!



As for the product itself, its a whitish gel with tiny exfoliating white beads. These beads are very fine. I leave it on for about 8 minutes, wet my face and massage then rinse off. At first it may sting a bit (especially if you use a lot, or recently scrubbed your face), but it fades. There is also a certain smell to it... its not unpleasant, and not overpowering and not chemical either. It is one of those scents that you remember though (just buy it for yourself :)




The ingredients are: Water, Glycerin, Polyethylene, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Pentylene Glycol, Glycereth 26, Methyl Gluceth 20, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Mucor Miehei Extract, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 20, Cellulose Gum, Calcium Chloride, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance




It is an Enzyme treatment and says this on the box:

Finally, use with a sunblock! It'll help maintain results, and keep your skin from getting damaged! Also, it this contains mushroom protein, so if you're allergic, stay away.

I used this product last night for the 4th time. This is an excellent polishing treatment for sensitive skin. I cannot use AHAs and have been rosacea - so manual exloliation is out. I have been using the Obagi system for 5 weeks and was peeling pretty badly. I used this enzyme treatment, and all of the peels/flakes are gone. I haven't seen a change in my hyperpigmentation that I would attribute to the mask, but it is an excellent product for gentle and thorough exfoliation. It is expensive. I will get a total of 5 uses per tube and will re-purchase.

I have been using this, along with the Visibly Even night treatment cream, for over three weeks. Yesterday I was looking for some sun spots in the mirror, and I realized I actually had to LOOK for them- they have definitely faded! Not completely gone, but for the amount of time I've been using the products, I'm quite happy. I use the skin polish twice a week and the treatment cream every other night- AHA souffle on the other nights.
I've been using the Neutrogena Dry Touch sunscreen during the day to maintain the results.

I'm marking this down because I think it is overpriced. It is a serviceable, gentle masque-scrub that is gentle enough to use often. I've not noticed (after two weeks) any change in discolorations on my skin. However I may buy the product again because I'm unable to use BHA's and AHA's (due to migraine/fibromyalgia problems) so this type of gentle enzyme-assisted scrub is probably the second best thing. (The apricot-kernel type scrubs seems way too rough to me.) This treatment seems so gentle that I see no reason it could not be used every day, and I have used it several days in a row without any apparent irritation. Used daily, the tube would last about 2 weeks, making it quite a pricey product to use.

This product is my HG of polishing treatments - it's cheap, it's reliable, and it has NO bad side effects. After using it my skin is glowing, fresh, and it also has faded several of my acne scars. It does exactly what it claims to do - perfects your skin (although a bit slowly, because you should only use it 2x a week) and helps improve tone and texture. Packaging is simple and hygienic, doesn't act like you expect a drugstore product to act.

UPDATE: About a month later, I still love this product! My acne marks are fading and it has not caused any problems!

I have used this mask 3 times in a little over a week, and I have definitely noticed a change in my complextion. I usually have slightly red cheeks and nose, and light acne scarring on my jawline and lower chin. After one use I noticed my skin felt smooth, and looked more even the next day, but the results quickly faded. I used it again 3 or 4 days later, and again noticed smooth skin and an even toned complextion. The acne scars were less noticeable and my cheeks were down to a pale, healthy looking pink. The results lasted until the 3rd treatment I gave myself 4 days later. My cheeks are much less red, more like a blushing pink, my acne scars have definitely faded (still visible, but nicely faded) and minor discolorations (brown spots, old freckles) are almost completely invisible! Very impressive for a drugstore product. I will continue to use this treatment for sure.
