This is the HG for mew as an eye make up remover. I have tried almost every other brand (also olive oil; almond oil etc) but they left me with burning and tearin eyes or the make up itself. But this baby cleanse my eyes gently. It is almost like a vaseline you rub your eyes with this and then remove all you make up with soaked cotton. That's it.
I know it is a little bit pricey but it worths and it lasts longer than you thought it would.
I have never tried this as an make up remover for my face due to my combination-acne prone skin but i highly recommend this as an eye make up remover.

This is HG for me - my skin is dry for the most part, but I do get the little oilies around the nose and chin. I massage a small amount of this cleanser all over my face, including the eye area, and then remove with a cloth soaked in warm water. It's amazing - all the makeup - even eye makeup, grime, everything is just gone and my skin is left feeling moisturized and clean.

You don't need much, but you do need to spend a few moments really working this in so it emulsifies a bit - I love it, I give myself a little facial massage. Highly recommended.

My skin is combination and for that reason I use this as an eye make up remover only. (Sometimes if I have foundation on, I put very little on my face- almost like nothing -before I cleanse my face with cleansing gel.) Then I use a dry cotton pad to take the make up off from my eyes and rinse it with lukewarm water. It takes everything off from my daily eye make up. My eye area in particular is extremely sensitive. I have allergies like crazy so I'm very careful about the things I put on my eyes and I've been using this for months now, I can confidently say that this one is safe, like all the other Lush products that I've tried before. It does the job, it's not expensive, it goes quite a long way, (the bigger jar especially) has quite a decent smell, its texture is creamy and nice. All the things I can ask for from an eye make up remover.

I need a cleanser to remove makeup. I think this might be a better alternative for me than Alboline or coconut oil for the face. Those are both too heavy and thick for my face, (but great for the rest of my body). This is also heavy, but not as much so, and removes makeup just as well. I am also considering 9 to 5 from lush hoping that will be less heavy, but serve the same purpose. I am concerned about allergic reaction, as I am with any product that goes near my eyes and face, and as I am with any new products I try. Ultra bland seems ok so far in that sense, at least for me.

this is an interesting product. i have never come acrosss something to similar to it before. this product is very versitile and can be used as more than a facial cleanser.
i bought this the other night and i was so exited i practically ran into my bathroom to use it! and i found that the result was kinda cool. it was a bit greasy but after i used it i used another bar to cleanse my face a little more (dove bar- sensitvie skin) and once i dried my face off my skin was very very moisturized. i didnt even need to put any lotion on as i normally do after washing my face. i just went stright to bed. when i woke up the next morning my face was a little shiney so i would use this as a night time cleanser. but it works really well and i will probably be using once or twice a week now to help keep my skin nice and hydrated. i dont think its something one should use evry night unless u have seveerly dry skin. this product also takes makup off quiet nicely so thats a big plus. any of you that are considering buying this or do and ahve stoped using it, try what i did and u may find yoursef liking ultra blend more than u did befor or by any other method because i noticed some were saying it was to greasy. and if you are not the person whowants to use two cleansers in a row try using a tiny bit of this or cleaning some of this off with a toner after us eing ( try lush tea tree toner)

Ultra Bland has been a staple product for the past 4 years. I do not use it everyday though. It is my cleanser when I need to remove makeup. It can make your face a bit greasy if you use too much so a little definitely goes a long way. I use it to protect our face when dyeing our hair. I also love warming a tiny dab in my palms and applying to the ends of my hair and part to stop flyaway on windy days. Only a tiny bit though or it might make your hair greasy. One summer we went to the beach I got a really bad sunburn on my shoulders and didn't have anything to put on it for the ride home. I applied a thin layer to the burn and it soothed my skin. Now we do this every summer if we get a bit red and it seems to prevent that horrible peeling.

I bought a small tub of this and used it for various things - eye make-up remover when travelling, general cleanser, to line my face when dying my hair with the Lush Henna (as suggested in Lush Times). It just wasn't for me. As an eye-make up remover, it's okay, but I was wary because it's creamy and moisturizing, and my eye-lids are quite oily enough as it is. As general cleanser, again, quite moisturizing, which can be great for some skin types but I didn't like the after-feel personally.

As far as lining my face for henna smears while dying my hair, it was GREAT, but it was also too expensive for that single purpose (nowadays I tend to use a cheap basic creme to line my face, as it does the same job equally well).

This is a great nighttime cleanser. I bought the small tub in March and am only about halfway through with it, so I think it's a great value. I have acne-prone combination skin and don't find that this product makes my skin feel greasy at all - I first wet my face then use a finger's worth on my face, occasionally grabbing a second as needed. A little goes a long way with this, so I would guess that those who feel greasy after using this either use more than necessary or don't remove it correctly. I've tried using this in the shower and found that water alone wasn't sufficient to remove it, so I just use a wet washcloth over my sink and that takes care of it. Ultra Bland is also excellent at removing make up, and is gentle enough to use on my eyes as well. I like to follow this with Lush's Tea Tree Toner.

This stuff is perfect. I have very dry skin and I usually use Hy Ol from Babor, which is an oil-based cleanser. Ultrabland is also an oil-based cleanser, but it has a different consistency. It's thick like sticky body butter. I always take a peanut size of the stuff. It melts on my face. Then I take it of with a washcloth soaked in hot water.
I found that is the only way to remove; cotton pads and water only don't do the job.
I used it to remove my Halloween-make-up and it slid right off.

To start off with, I am pretty sure this product made me break out. It removed makeup really well (foundation) but did nothing for eye makeup, it just made a huge smeary black mess on my face. It feels very luxurious and soothing especially when using a hot washcloth to steam your face and wipe it away after applying. It made my skin so soft and seemed to improve the texture of my skin a lot (though it made it a bit red from massaging it in). After about 1.5 weeks I started breaking out horribly all over my whole face, including places I have never broken out before (cheeks and under eyes). Price was a bit expensive ($16) but the jar would last a while, I think. If you have acne or clog prone skin, maybe reconsider buying.

I nipped into lush to see if they had anything that could replace my waning boots nourishing oil cleanser and the sales assistant recommended this, i usually love oil cleansing to remove my makeup because its just so fuss free and easy whereas this is the complete opposite.
Its a thick creamy beige paste that is supposed to remove all makeup leaving skin clean and nourished. It does non of these claims. Its sticky smells very strong (which i don't like) and needs to be removed using a load of cotton pads soaked with toner, and even then there's a odd film left on the skin which forced me to use another cleanser to get rid of it, and to top it off some eye makeup was still left on. Rubbish. I wouldn't repurchase

I'm not one to write reviews but I felt somewhat compelled to rave about this product!

I've never really bought into the whole organic, natural ingredients in skincare - my skin isn't particularly sensitive and I've never really considered the chemicals in some facial products - as long as it does the job it suits me!

I have combination skin, slight oily t-zone, normal elsewhere and suffer from blocked pores and spots on my chin. It drives me crazy at 22!
I'd just about given up hope after trying all manner of skin products (Clarins, Elemis, Simple, Clean and Clear, Garnier, Olay, etc.) when I thought I'd try Lush out after reading about the Ultra Bland being similar to the (too expensive) Eve Lom cleanser.

I thoroughly enjoy hot cloth cleansers and so really like the system of rubbing the balm into my skin and holding a steaming hot muslin cloth over my face, then buffing off. I can imagine this may be too much hassle for some people but I find it relaxing. I've been using Ultrabland morning and night since Wednesday and my skin is like a babies. It is smooth and clean, no more oiliness and it seems to have got it's radiance back. Spots have not disappeared yet but my skin feels so much better than from using anything else - I'm hoping it will eventually be blemish free!

I feel so much better about my skin already, that today I'm quite happy to use a dab of concealer and blusher and leave my face foundation free (which I don't think I've done since I was a child!). The price is fab, it's a small container but seems to last a fair while. My only issue is that it is fairly hard to remove and I feel a slight residue left on my face which doesn't feel bad, I'm just worried it may cause me to break out. Therefore I end my regime with a wipe of alcohol free toner to remove any excess cleanser and so far so good!

This has definitely opened my eyes to Lush (I also bought the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask) and other natural skin care ranges on the market :-) very happy indeed!

so this is my first review. i wasn't planning on writing a review ever, but i think this is totally worth it. i can't describe how much i came to love this product, and how much it helps my skin. i recently got a scar removed, it was underneath my skin right next to my nose, and i could still feel a little bump where the scar used to be, but ever since i started using this stuff, i can't feel or see anything. my skin is so smooth.
but the best thing: it takes off your make up sooo easily! i just put a little bit on top of my eyelids and rub it gently, wipe it off with a cotton pad and all my make up is gone. i'm truly in love, this is awesome.

Ever since LUSH discontinued the Baby Face cleanser, I'm using this. I use it mainly to remove eye make-up because I don't wear a foundation every day. But if I wear a foundation, this cleanser takes it off as well.

I think it removes make-up very well and gently but you have to remember to wipe it off properly, maybe with a cotton pad dabbed in toner.

It doesn't dry out my skin at all and I like using it. I liked Baby Face a bit better because it was easier to dose but this one is a fine replacement.

I got this as a sample, and it was pretty good. I was going to buy this but I ended up getting 9 to 5, which I prefer because of the smell. Since this is an eye remover, it seemed more economical to get 9 to 5 which is both a cleanser and removes eye makeup, as well as the mineral foundation I use.

I got this as a present, and I can't say I fell in love with it!.. I does what it promises when it comes to removing make-up, but it leaves a really fat residue on my skin afterwards. I don't really like that. Also, I find the smell a little weird, too.

Ive never felt compelled to write a review for a cleanser before but I think this bad boy deserves a round of applause and a medal.
I wear a decent amount of eye makeup and this managed to take it off in one go. Very impressive and I use waterproof eye makeup.
I basically get a small blob in my hand and massage it in circles all over my face, then wipe away with cotton pads. The end result is amazingly clean, clear and baby soft silky skin with no makeup left over at all. I'm very impressed that his can be used for a variety of skincare uses like a moisture mask etc.
Definately repurchase from now on.

This is by far the best thing I have ever had on my face! I was extremely skeptical of using this at first because I have very sensitive skin and am prone to break outs and dry patches if my face doesn't agree with a product. I did feel a bit overwhelmed when I first enquired about this product as everybody in the shop was raving about it and from what I could gather most people were using it as a make up remover, which was not what I was after. However, after speaking to a very helpful sales assistant who explained that she too had dry/sensitive skin and suggested that this product really helped her, I was sold. Instead of cajoling me into purchasing a pot of the stuff though, she very kindly provided me with a tester for free. As I didn't want or need another makeup remover I washed my face with my normal Johnson's face wash and dried it as normal, I then slathered the Ultra Bland all over my face and left it on for as long as possible (about 15 minutes). It does make your face look extremely greasy so I wouldn't advise indulging in this if you have company, you might get some strange looks. After it had been on for awhile I used an old toner that I had laying around (I can't remember the brand) and some cotton buds to take it off. I wasn't expecting great things from this little 'tester' tub, but I was happily surprised! My face was the softest it had been in a long time and it stayed that way for 3-4 days afterwards! Needless to say that I was back into Lush the following week to buy an actual pot of the stuff, and I've been back 4 times since then to keep stocked up. This is a miracle in a pot to me and I would honestly recommend it to anyone who has trouble with dry skin or would just like a lovely soft face!

It's also great if you have dry/sore hands... Cover them in this and then put some plastic gloves on and leave for 10 minutes or so and when you take them off it's like a new pair of hands! An absolute wonder product.

I have gone through three of those small pots in the past two years, using it on and off.
At first, I thought it worked really well, hydrating my skin and removing makeup, without giving me an oily feeling. I thought I had found the perfect cleanser/makeup remover.
Now, I can't use the thing. It doesn't remove my mascara and I am left with racoon eyes after my shower. It leaves my skin so oily and greasy that I need to use ocean salt to remove all excess oil from it. And I need to use soap to remove the product from my hands after applying it.
In the end, it really didn't do anything for me after a while.
