This product is great for dark circles and I use it almost every day. It helps me combat my naturally dark under-eye area that only gets worse due to my insomniatic tendencies. I don't know if this is the best product out there for dark circles and it is pretty expensive, but it works pretty well for me and it doesn't make me break out. I really don't have any qualms with this product. I generally use it under my BB cream.
REALLY SAD THAT THIS IS DISCONTINUED... Still have most of the container and I've been using it everyday for about three months now. Need to find a new under-eye concealer/treatment... =(

This is the only under eye concealer that works for me. I have crepey skin around my eyes and a lot of darkness in corners.I wear this without eye cream and it moisturizes but doesn't crease. I had to go into sephora to get the right color though because they don't sale the lightest shade(fair/light) online. Bobbie Brown corrector was just too heavy on my delicate eye area. Love how this looks on me. If someone could just tell me what to do with all these brushes. I wish this had a little more staying power.

the color and creamy consistency of this product is impressive. i need to use a setting powder otherwise it creases and looks messy. there is an issue with the packaging. you can use this product with a concealer brush, but i prefer my fingers, and i don't think dabbing my fingers in the pot all the time is very sanitary or hygienic despite the fact that i clean my fingers before i use it. i would like to see this product come in packaging that allows the product to be distributed in a cleaner way. overall, it is a great product; i highly recommend.

This received 4s across the board from me. I'm of Indian descent so dark circles due to pigmentation are a given, and because they show up slightly greeny darker brown on my NC40 skin, I needed a corrector rather than just a concealer. I'd been using MAC Select Cover Up in NW35 because the pink undertone helped neutralize the dark tones, but in full-on daylight it leaves a bit of a grayish-pink halo where I blend right at the cheekbone-orbit border. Tarte Dark Circle Defense in medium-deep really worked to neutralize the circles and has a good texture and blends well. It does not make my under-eye area look ashy or gray. It's creamy and doesn't dry my skin out, but I also make sure I wear some eye cream (Mario Badescu Control Cream).
Now to explain the deductions:
- the product: creases after just a couple of hours. Not horribly, but still enough that I have to re-blend very lightly with a fingertip in the middle of the day, which I don't always have time for at work.
- the packaging: it's really a good thing that I already owned a Sephora concealer brush because if I relied on the one that came with the product, I'd be lost. I only used it once, and its bristles are too harsh on the skin and it doesn't blend the product very well. I have no issues with the packaging of the concealer itself.
- the price: at $32 it's pricey for a concealer that creases considerably.
However, I will still likely repurchase because I really need good under-eye correction and this has been the best so far.

ugh, got this because i had a $100 sephora gift card... it's fantastic... for a few hours. great natural ingredients which i prefer because i feel it helps heal and soothe as it covers up dark circles but oh my god is it a) expensive b) short lasting. oh! and the brush that comes with it is B.S. mine broke in a day.
where oh where can i find a dark circle concealer that heals, hyrates, and covers up? the next one i might try is Korres... when i get my tax return, haha!

NC15. I used to use Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque before I discovered this gem. I use Fair/Light and apply with my fingertip in a patting motion. I barely have to use any for full coverage of my massive circles! I set with Benefit Powderflage and experience no fading or creasing. It is a firmer texture than BB's Corrector and Concealer, but it really works better for me. I am almost to pan and plan to purchase another when I am finished.

EDIT - MARCH 7/12 -decided to return this. While I stand by my previous review of the coverage being good, I can't handle the creasing. I find myself constantly blending it out throughout the day. What I didn't like about Bobbi Brown is that it creased like a champ as well as irritated my under eye area. Made it itchy, gave me milia, etc etc. This one didn't irritate..just creased no matter how I applied it, set it, primed it. Still worth a shot because it does offer great coverage.
This corrector is awesome! It's peachy so it works great for my blueish veins and slight dark circles. If I use a yellow corrector or yellow concealer, my under eyes turn green because of all the veins. I purchased this in light-medium which looks dark but once you apply and blend, it's really light. It offers awesome coverage and you don't need that much. CONS are that it definitely creases regardless of setting it. I use the amazon clay setting powder and it does help but still creases. It's a really creamy texture so it's hydrating (still need eye cream though). i like that it's fairly natural and I like it WAY better than the bobbi brown one. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a corrector/concealer.

I purchased the lightest shade Fair Light, but it was still too dark for me and my MAC NC15 complexion. To make matters worse this creased horribly despite setting it with powder.

I really liked this! The color variety is great, great texture, great coverage, and blends very easily. I just really hate that it's in a little pot. I hate dipping my fingers in there and I don't like the brush for my eye area. The brush is awesome for blemish or redness coverage though! But for my eyes it just doesn't blend it enough so I resort to my fingers. Unfortunately right after I bought this I left it in my car.. in Florida :( so the formula got all whacked and dried up quite a bit. Evan after that I am satisfied and it works extremely well. I noticed my eye area has been rather dry.. not sure if it's from me rubbing them, it being cold, or this stuff so don't let that throw you off from getting this. I will repurchase and hopefully the heat doesn't kill it this time!!

Dark under eye circles run in my family, so I've been trying out under eye concealers since I was about 12. However, having recently just had a baby, my need for a HG product became even more dire. I think I've found it in this- I just need a little bit and I look like a normal functioning member of society again. I do need to use primer or else it wears of pretty quickly, but my skin is pretty oily and I'm not going to complain about that since it is such a minor inconvenience. A little really goes a long way with this product and if I use too much, it feels a little uncomfortable. The brush that comes with the concealer is the perfect size and really helps it glide right on and blend into the skin.

I have dark circles and some puffiness (extreme puffiness in hayfever season) especially when I don't get enough sleep. This product is great for under eyes. It has an almost gel like formula that pats onto the skin easily, either with the brush supplied or fingertips. I'm NW20 in MAC and purchased the light/medium colour which seems to be great. Not too orange.
Pricey buying in Australia, but i'm yet to find something here that works as well.

This worked ok covering my horrendous dark circles and that is saying A LOT...but I returned it because something in it irritated my eyes. I have to say it does have good staying power because as the day wore on my dark circles didn't look so bad- but my itching burning red eyes looked terrible! Try this out and if it doesn't irritate your eyes you may have found an HG under eye concealer. For the time being my Pixi eye brightening peach is the best thing I have found that works for me so far.

I have moderate to heavy circles with some fine lines/crepiness. This product, along with La Prairie's Cellular Concealer, are great at covering most of my circles, maybe 80-90% and only crease a bit in my largest undereye wrinkle. It is creamy but stays put, even on my oily face.
I was previously using Giorgio Armani's Master Corrector in pink #1. The problem I had with GA's corrector was the color. The pink is hard to cover up with my concealer. If I'm not careful, I have pinkish splotches under my eyes. GA's formula is also less moisturizing. Tarte's correctors are skin toned enough that I bet some people don't even need to apply concealer on top. (I do, cause the light-medium color is still a peach/salmon color on me.)
I like that it's free of parabens, petrochemicals and fragrances. The brush it comes with is so-so. For me, the best coverage is when I apply this with Ecotool's concealer brush. I use my ring finger when traveling but my fingers don't apply as thick or even layers as the Ecotool's brush.
I've used this for the past few months and have barely made a dent in the pot. It's sure to last a long time. I will definitely buy this again whenever I run out.

This is beautiful
Under eye concealer is 80% of my daily routine
Without it I hear "are you tired/sick?" continuously- RUDE!!
Anyway this is smooth, great coverage and Loooong lasting- perfect!
the closest comparison is bobbi browns corrector- same "sticky" texture but this has more coverage and lasting power.
I use this with the #45sephora professional brush and I won't change
a thing.
Even my cle de peau and lancome effacernes are sitting in the drawer now

This under eye corrector is awesome. I was using the balm under eye concealer before and it worked pretty good, but when the woman that worked at Ulta put the Tarte dark circle defense under eye corrector on me, I looked like I had a full 8 hrs. sleep! It also completely covered my circles. I will def. repurchase again when I run out.
P.S. Women with oily skin (such as myself) will probably need to set the concealer with powder to make it last. I have to do this with any creamy products on my face.

This concealer is very very creamy and blends well. It doesn't seem to settle into fine lines around my eye's like some other concealers do, however, It could be a little more pigmented. As far as it correcting dark circles after a period of time I havent seen any results. Overall I think this is a good undereye concealer!

I love this amazing concealer! I have horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE dark circles. Anytime I don't wear makeup, it never fails that someone will ask me if I'm sick or tired. Between my allergies and heredity, I don't stand a chance. Prior to this, I was using MUFE Full Cover Concealer. While it covered well, it didn't correct my circles, and I was not happy with that. I bought the Tarte Dark Circle Defense not expecting too much... but lucky me, I was blown away! The tiniest bit covers my nasty circles, and I look awake and refreshed. I'm pretty fair most of the year (around an NC15, for reference), and I use the Light-Medium shade. When I purchased this almost a year and a half ago, they only had two shades available. I've noticed now that they also carry an even lighter shade, so I plan to test it before I repurchase. However, the Light-Medium shade really does work super well for me. I love this stuff so much! It's definite HG material, though I'm always hesitant to declare anything HG for fear it stop working as well or be discontinued. I really don't plan on straying from this little gem!
Edit 9/02/11: I used this up this morning, and I immediately ran out to Ulta to repurchase. I hate that you have to purchase this with the brush (which I find to be useless). I'd rather pay a few dollars less for just the concealer. Maybe $26 like Benefit Erase Paste instead of $32. I purchased this time in the shade Fair-Light, so hopefully it will work just as well for me. I'm hoping it'll brighten a smidge more since it's lighter.

Update: I have very dark circles and my basic HG concealer products included Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier. However, I'm always looking for something else and the Tarte Dark Circle Defense Under Eye Corrector seemed like a product to try. As far as coverage, this product was very pink. Which was amazing because it cancels out bluish dark circles. However, you must wear a concealer over this product that matches your skin tone. Keep in mind this is a corrector and should be used with a concealer. I use this with my Bobbi Brown Concealer in Natural. Prior to using this corrector, I used to use BB corrector in light peach. Originally, the Tarte product irritated my sensitive eyes when I first tried it but now I no longer have irritation (and I'm not sure why). I always apply this in the dark crook right under the inside corner where there is a deep shadow. It works well to balance that part of my under eye circles. It's worth a try, but I suggest a matching skin tone concealer color over it and a setting powder. For the record I use MAC studio fix in NC35 to set both products and this ends up adding more coverage. The results so far are great. So to recap, I use Tarte Dark Circle Defense Under Eye Corrector in light/medium, BB concealer in Natural and Mac Studio fix powder in NC35 to set. (For reference, I use Revlon CS in Golden Beige or MAC NC35)
For my very dark circles, this combination is working and it lasts most of the day.
