So i bought this a while ago on a whim. It was cheap, and something in it appealed to me. Liked it for a few days and then got sick of it. Maybe I would have liked it more in a different season.

On my skin this didn't really do anything. It stayed the same from when I sprayed it on until it had completely worn off. I like scents that develop, following me through the day. This was a bit too static for me. Gave it to a friend, and it behaved much the same on her. Neither of us will repurchase.

This scent means nothing to me, it is just another perfume. Blah.

I consider this my night time perfume, its a statement smell with a lulling sweetness to it that works beautifully. I loved it from the first time i smelt it and will continue to do so.

The bottle is so beautiful too, such a great perfume.

Tart, sweet and fun, but in no way immature.
Black XS wasn’t marketed in Asia, so I’m not even sure what made me decide to pick it up but I’m glad I did.
There’s a mix of the new (fruit, cocoa, patchouli) with some old school elements that seldom crop up in fragrances targeted at the younger set (violet, pepper). The result is an interesting blend of fresh, spicy, powdery and sweet. Black XS is sensual but neither a girly-girl scent, nor a bad-girl one.
I always feel like I should put my hair up in a high ponytail and wear skin-tight jeans with stilettos when I smell this.
I won’t say it’s ground-breaking or the most sophisticated thing in the world, but it’s a step up from the generic sugary scents, and I don’t really associate it with any age group in particular. (I find it quite strange to label types of smells as “young” or “old” when these stereotypes don’t translate across cultures at all. Wear it if you like it and just use a light hand when you’re in company!)
Projection and and lasting power are both average compared to most of my other scents. Not a holy grail scent, but I’ll keep it on hand as long as I can keep finding it at good prices!

This was what I considered to be "my" fragrance and signature smell. On my skin it would explode into a spicy yet warm sweet scent that lasted hours. I loved it for the entire year the bottle lasted. Now however it is 99% unbearable for me to go near :( It gives me a headache until it settles down fully and becomes a subtle swish of sugar and spice.
I will not repurchase as it is very expensive in NZ and I'll never get through my current full bottle unless my "taste" for it returns.

I was pleasantly surprised when I smelt this product for the first time. I wanted to check it out because I had smelled "Million" for him on one of my male friends and loved it. At that time "Million" for her had not yet come out.. however, even if it had, I don't think I would have picked it over Black XS, although it is quite nice as well.. ironically, Million smells a bit cheaper lol. This smell is very warm and romantic and is perfect for every day wear.

I just got Black xs for Her as a mother's day gift from my daughter, and I absolutely love it! It seems too strong for daytime at first, but after about half an hour it does tone down quite a bit or so it seems to me. Some of the reviews here talk about it being rather a bold, sharp scent, but perfumes always smell different on different people. I find that even with the bold tones there is a soft sweetness about it. My other favourite perfume is Shi by Albert Sung (also first received as a gift from my daughter), but I've been having trouble finding it in stores lately. Does anyone know if it is no longer being produced??? At any rate, Black xs is quite different from Shi, and while a bit stronger it is in no way crass. I don't know what the cost is as I didn't pay for it myself, but I love both the scent and the bottle and would definitely purchase this product for myself! Thanks to my daughter for such a nice gift!

the best way I could describe this scent is a man's perfume with a touch of femininity in the undertone.

I suppose this is a horrible way to describe a scent I love but it is what it is , the scent is strong and very fierce in the beginning however in time it the smell doesn't even soften but rather takes on a sweet almost acidic tone. unlike my previous perfume this one doesn't break down easily, you can splash some one and know for sure it'll be there hours later :)

I love this perfume, I really do and it seems to grab the attention of most of my co-workers (the female ones sadly, men can't tell something is different about you unless you suddenly walk in with your hair on fire!!!!).

however it is more of an evening scent, way too strong for me in the morning. I would advise you to try it on before purchasing, it's not for the timid!!!

Yet another scent purchased for me by my husband. It is his favorite, next to Pivoine and White Shoulders. Black XS is definately sexy, she does stand out. She is sweet but does not give off the eau-de-celebriscent aura. She is spicy, hot, a firecracker. Definately a night on the town fragrance with a sexy LBD and stillettos, a definate invite to an indie/rock/country concert paired with a hot top, skinny jeans and a great pair of boots. A must-have when you feel like strutting your stuff in jeans, tank top and a well fitting leather jacket. Black XS according to Fragrantica: " This modern floral-fruity composition starts sharp and spicy with cranberry, pink peppercorn and tamarind notes around the heart of hellebore noir rose, black violet and cocoa blossom. The base notes are patchouli, Massoia wood and vanilla." When I wear this jewel, my nose detects the cranberry, pink pepper, rose and vanilla. She is my go to when I want more of a vampy vibe, a not so subtle statement of my "inner rebel". And she never lets me down. xoxo

The gorgeous black bottle isn't done justice by the repulsive juice inside. Looking at the packaging, I'd say that the scent would be a woody dark sillage, maybe a chypre with loads and loads of musk. Having tried it on skin and clothes, I find it annoyingly cloying and despiteful. It's another one of those bland fruity florals that hangs around in the pre-teenager crowd, where it is used in an unthoughtfully lavish quantity. This would be found on a girl who wears the cheap trends along with this perfume: faux leather jacket, tight tops and too much bronzer.

I love this perfume.. I had never ever been a perfume wearer til I smelled this in the shop and really liked it. It was my first perfume and apart from Flower Bomb by Viktor and Rolf, it is the only perfume I wear. It smells great on my skin and suits my character. I have never liked floral, girly, or musky scents and although this could be described as floral by some it's certainly not flowery on me! As not many people wear it in NZ I love the fact that it's pretty unique to me and the scent won't be confused with anything else. I would highly recommend this to someone between 19-24 who is looking for something different yet feminine.

The first time I got a whiff of this in the bottle, I absolutely loved it. I was sure I wanted it. It seemed to have everything I was looking for... a dark and romantic rosey floral, a little sweetness, with a bit of a unique kick. The bottle is also very pretty. However, I decided to go back and try it on and walk around the mall for a while, just to be sure... and my opinion quickly changed. Immediately upon application of just one small squirt, it took on a very harsh, acidic rose scent. I normally like rose and bolder fragrances, but this was far too harsh for me. It literally clung to the inside of my lungs, aggravating my asthma. I tried it again a couple months later on a fragrance card (desperate to make it work for me, remembering how I fell in love with it the first time I smelled it in the bottle), just lightly misting the spray and waving the card through it so that it just picked up a bit of the fragrance. I let it settle and gave it a whiff, but it wasn't much better. I let my boyfriend smell it later and he didn't care for it either. This scent is just too harsh for me. I told the SA at the fragrance counter of my love/hate experience with it, and she said she felt the same way (loved it in the bottle, but found it to be much too harsh once sprayed). Unfortunate, because I really thought this was going to be the perfect fragrance for me.

This is such a cute, gothic/romantic, teenage fragrance. Its like listening to The Cure and drinking cherry coke spiked with vodka, lol! If I was in highschool, or a freshman, or sophomore in college it would be perfect. Even that whiny sour note it sometimes develops could be overlooked if you were a young girl. Stay away if you're over 25 though.

Black XS is the kind of perfume that I would never stop buying,it's close to becoming my signature scent.I am into sweet smelling scents, but this one is not all sweetness it's bold and kind of spicy sometimes the pink peppercorn note to me gives it a kick.Don't get me started on the bottle,a lovely dark sexy black pinkish bottle to channel your inner rockstar.Highly Recommended.

well, it's almost your average fruity floral, with the so in-fashion woody notes in the drydown.
A berry start, sweet and perhaps cloying but the violet, the deep rose and a touch of cocoa make it more interesting and deep than your average fruity floral.
it has a kinda sexy note due to the loads of patchouli & vanilla in the dry down.
interesting, fares much more better than the more recent Lady Million stuff, however will not be the change in the history of perfumery....

"Sweet, with an edge" is the best way I can describe Black XS. It's a little fruity, sorta floral, kinda spicy and earthy & dark all at the same time! This is a scent I go for when I want to release my inner rock chick! I mainly wear it at night, or on a cool day, because of the warmth of the base notes. It packs a punch, so don't go overboard with it! :)

This is by far the strongest scent I wear, yet it's so incredibly gorgeous and sensual that 'strong' doesn't mean overpowering or offensive. I find I put it on in the morning, and maybe a spritz if I go out at night. It's a quality fragrance, lovely bottle. It's sweet, velvety and warm without being like a bad sweet. Bad sweet being those sickly artificial vanilla/candy smelling sprays for the younger set. I think this scent could be worn by any age. Usually the notes I go for are vanillas, ambers, sandalwoods, musks...sweet, warm, floral spicy scents. This is just yummy. I had to special order as Shopper's was sold out for two months!

I'd recommend testing this, and if you still want to make out with yourself at the end of the day, buy it!

This perfume is borderline addictive! It's a warm, spicy rose scent. I am not generally a fan of patchouli in fragrances, but there seems to be a very soft and pleasant undertone of patchouli in Black XS that gives it a spicy kick. I can smell vanilla-ambery warmth in there as well, making this a perfect cold-weather fragrance. I love Black XS and will be wearing it all winter. A repurchase for sure.
