funny, for me, this stick is too soft. feels great when it's on my lips, but often chunks of it will come off if i apply it with the same pressure i do other lip balms. now that i'm used to it, it's ok. i don't mind the taste.

Just returned this after using it for 2 weeks. These are the issues I had:
1. There is a bland alkaline-y oatmeal flavor.
2. The texture is hard and uneven - some spots are very hard. (It does soften if I have it in my pockets.)
3. It doesn't soften or moisturize very well and I have to reapply it every hour or so.
I don't mind paying up for a product that works and is organic, but $15 is way too much for a product that tastes kinda icky and doesn't work.

I was at first dissapointed with this but now I am quite happy. I am used to balms/glosses with a minty fruity aftertaste and this has none of that. It has a bland, oatmeal flavor to it that I found dissapointing UNTIL I realized that I can drink my morning joe without altering the taste. YAY!! I can have water, food..whatever and not have everything taste like lip balm. As for quality I am VERY impressed!! I have struggled with chapped lips for weeks now and nothing has helped like this. The price is ridiculous, but I am trying to support organic...

The stick is hard this is true, but as I look at the ingredients I find that it is primarily shea and cocoa butter and being familiar with them as I am they are both hard substances that need to be warmed.
With that said I have on this lip balm right now and I do love it. There is no fragrance or taste which I sometimes enjoy and it really just nourishes my overly dry lips for a fair amount of time.
It is annoying that the stick needs to be warmed, but if your going to give me that kind of moisture..I'm o.k. with that.

This product is not perfumed or flavoured, but instead, when applied, has the slightly stale, not very kissable, un-fresh taste of its ingredients. Imo it would have benefited a lot from adding some flavour - of course too, one that was at least to 97% organically produced;-) - to enhance the use of this product. Strangely, another lip treatment of Origins containes such immense, i mean IMMENSE amounts of mint, that it is really off-putting. What good should it do to have such a concentration of mint-oil on the lips with each application? I actually think that essential oils in this high concentration could have an effect on skin pigmentation, leading to permanent discolouration of the skin. As it seems, Origins seems to opt for extremes with regard to flavouring its lip-care treatments, no flavour (really not very tasty..) versus exaggeratedly and ridiculously over-flavoured (to the point of numbing the tissue of the lips)..
The 'certified organic soothing lip balm' feels okay on the lips, satisfying moisturising and i would actually buy it if it wasn't so outrageously! overpriced. 27 Swissfrancs for this scrawny, thin, unexciting stick of lip-care..no ****** way.

I received this free at my origins counter. It smells wonderful, like honey. My only gripe is that the stick is so hard. Once it is on your lips, it is a perfect, smooth, light, lip balm and I love that it is not thick or sticky. It just stinks that this stick is so hard for the application. I can't imagine anyone with sensitive or chapped lips ever using this, as it would tear them to peices! too bad this isn't softer, because it really is a nice, soft, kissable moisturizer once it is on. oh well!

I just received this lip balm last night....I've been using it all day today and it's great so far! (will update if anything changes) In the tube it looked very dry, but once I applied it was super creamy and lovely feeling. Very emolliant and protective. Has lasted really well, even while I've been drinking hot beverages at work. No real odor or taste...love that it's nearly all organic, too. I won't be wearing this to bed as a night treatment, since some of the oils in it could be pore clogging on my face...and it could smear onto my pillow. But, for daytime - I am really pleased! I have a hard time finding treatments that are not irritating to my lips, and are emolliant enough without containing any gluten products. A nice find for me!

This is a very nice balm that doesn't flake, doesn't irritate sensitive skin and doesn't have any smell or flavor. It has staying power and leaves my lips soft. I just think it's insanity to charge $15 for it so no, I will not purchase after I use up my free sample. For those of you concerned with the all natural aspect I'd use burts bees regular lip balm $3 but I'm sure there are plenty other alternatives if you look.

This is OK. This stick did harden after a while but it does warm up. I normally use Chapstick, but after using this I did notice that my lips were softer. I won't buy again because this is way overpriced - $15 compared to $3.99 for Chapstick.

I love the fact that this lip balm is organic. It has simple, non-irritating ingredients and no noticable fragrance. I have found the stick form very user-friendly, and it's great to not have to be constantly putting my finger into a jar of lip balm (hygiene factor!).
After going through numerous lip balm brands searching for one that doesn't make my lips ''addicted'' to constant reapplication, I'm happy to report that I have been using this one for a couple of months and my lips have not had to go to rehab... ;)
The balm formula provides long-lasting moisturisation, and is great under lipgloss and lipstick. I haven't had problems with the stick being too hard (as other reviewers noted), perhaps the formula has been refined recently? So, even though this is rather pricey for a lip balm, I would definitely buy this one again.

I vote for this organic, all natural lip balm! Yes it's hard in texture, but rub a little I get enough moisturizer on the lips and the hard texture makes the tube last longer. I like this much better than the Dr. Weil Turmeric lip balm. The latter is greasier and has a nasty smell. This one has soothing coconut scent and no taste. It feels eatable on the lips consider the fine ingredients. Nothing's better than totally natural ingredients for a lip product IMO.

Nice that it is mostly Organic based. Goes on hard, but warms up. No taste that I can detect. Not as moisturizing as Dr. Hauschka lip care stick that is 100% biodynamic (better than organic) ingredients, or Burts Bees - $3 to $4.00 a tube if you don't mind peppermint. This balm is very overpriced for what it is ($15.00).
