I'm a fan of EM brushes, but this one kind of struck out for me. It's not bad, but I don't really like it. It's still super soft, doesn't shed, and isn't flimsy (hence the high rating), but for me it falls far short of the Flat Top brush.
It's very dense, but the long bristle length means it bends where you press it to the skin. I feel like EM tried to combine the Flat Top with a blush brush, and ended up with the virtues of neither. The FT's denseness and lack of flexibility makes it perfect for applying thick foundation, while this brush is too flexible for that--but too dense for blush! Maybe if you like very light coverage.
Summary: I own one of these, and three of the Flat Top brushes. The Flat Top's are in constant rotation; this kabuki gathers dust in the back of my drawer.

I share sentiments similar to the reviewer below me.
I too bought the brush several--I would guess four--years ago. It was the perfect brush: full and soft, yet strong, sturdy, and dense. It never shed as well. Unfortunately, the brush head fell out as I was cleaning it recently. I wish I could have just popped it back in, but the glue holding the hairs together had given way and caused much of the hair to fall out and deformed the original shape of the head. Yes, quite the traumatizing experience to see this happen to my HG brush.
Thus, you could imagine my excitement when I saw the same brush was still being sold on the Everyday Minerals website. I believe the price had gone up $2.99 (though don't quote me on that) from the last time I purchased the product, but this price increase was of little concern to me, as I cared only that my beloved brush would soon be in my possession once again.
The only problem is that the brush I reordered is not the brush I fell in love with. This new brush has a brush head much smaller in size, and far less dense, than my original long handled kabuki. These are significant differences that lead the new brush to be less efficient at picking up, applying, and blending mineral foundation. In my opinion, time, makeup, and energy are wasted with the new changes. And, as another reviewer stated, there is an unpleasant "give" you experience when using the new brush that was not present in the original brush of higher quality.
Everyday Minerals, please revert the brush back to what it was before! And, to anyone reading this, if you were fortunate enough to own the original and know of any similar brushes from other lines, please feel free to recommend them to me. Thank you!

Let me preface this by saying I purchased a long handled Kabuki brush, way back when. I can't even remember how long ago - maybe five years ago? And it is/was my HG brush. Didn't shed, dense, soft. Amazing for applying EDM foundation.
Two months ago, I ordered the same brush again to replace my old one. This one feels different - not as dense, softer (possibly too soft with too much give) AND IT SHEDS LIKE CRAZY!!!!! Each time I use it, about ten hairs come off the brush. Soon it will have no hairs left at all and this is absolutely ridiculous. So disappointed and will not be repurchasing.

This is one of my favorite brushes. Received my first one as a gift from a friend when I told her I needed a good kabuki brush for applying mineral powder foundation but wanted one with a longer handle. It's soft, durable and I think the longer handle lets you control the level of foundation coverage a bit better. My first one lasted several years before dying out (my bad - I let it soak overnight in brush cleaning solution and it dissolved the glue holding the bristles in place...). I replaced it and bought a couple of extras just in case. I use a 2nd one as a buffer brush to even out bronzer and blush. Can't beat the price either.

Awesome brush for as cheap as it is. Definitely soft, so I can see where some people may deem it floppy. However I use MMU, and a light layer of it at that, so the amount of softness and give is exactly what I need. No shedding, cleans easily, doesn't absorb too much powder, dries quickly, and the handle isn't so short that it cramps my long fingers. Plus it's cruelty free!

I bought this brush 4 1/2 years ago and today it finally gave out. One of the best brush I have purchased due to its affordability, quality, and versatile use. I'm going to have to order another one.

This is the best brush I have ever used. I own two and it is so versatile that it can be used for foundation, all over powder, blush, bronzer. Just anything and doing the best job at it. I love this brush and could not complete my beauty routine without it.

Great brush! Soft but not too soft. It doesn't drag at all and I think it applies the everyday mineral powder perfectly. It cleans easily and I haven't had hardly any fallout after 6 months. It's also a great price! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

PRO: Cheap, soft, really dense.
CONS: I gotta agree with one of the 1 star reviews that says this brush has too much give. It's overly soft and has no firmness. Can't use it with foundation since it "drags" across the skin instead of properly laying down or blending product. I find it absorbs a lot too, even with finishing powder.
OVERALL: Too floppy for my taste. Best to use it for finishing powder and things that don't need that much blending.

I've had this brush along with other EM brushes for about 5 years now and I still love them as much as the very first day I bought them. They never everrr shed and are super soft on my sensitive skin. I've never felt a softer brush, seriously! Best of all they're cruelty free and eco friendly, what's not to love about them :)

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this brush before. I've had it for 4 years. And I would literally cry if I ever lost it.
Pros:
-great for applying loose powder, finishing powder
-baby soft bristles
-great shape--easy to blend near hairline and around nose/eyes
-handle is the perfect length and allows you to get a good grip
-washes perfectly (I use Clinique's brush spray wash)
-DOES NOT SHED. I think I've seen 3 hairs come out of this brush in its entire life and one of those may have been an eyelash.
--did I mention that I've had it for 4 years?
Cons:
-not suited for applying heavy coverage powder or foundation
Bottom line, if you're looking for an multi-purpose kabuki, look no further.

Love this! One of my favourite brushes. I use it almost daily for loose or compact powder. It's incredibly soft and picks up just the right amount of powder. I think mine is about 3 years old and still going strong - not a hair has fallen out. My only issue with this is that it takes quite long to dry. Also, EM brushes are variable in quality, but this one is amazing.

I've always been on the hunt for good quality synthetic brushes that are worth the buck, and a friend of mine who owns a local online store happened to have this on hand. I just had to buy it coz it was cheap and I've heard a lot of good things about this brush. And I'm so glad I did buy it! The hairs are so soft and buffs my loose mineral foundation and pressed blush well that it doesn't feel thick or cakey on my skin. No shedding, no weird smell (which I often get in animal hair brushes), and still looking new after a couple of washes! Although I have to use the Brush Guard during drying to keep the hairs in shape (coz it tends to poof out), I still love this! Would definitely buy again :)

When I first got this brush, I thought it was a throw away. It is not dense, it will not pack product, it just seemed like a mistake-like EM duo fibre brush, which is absolute crap. But this brush is actually awesome for bronzer, finish powder, etc. Happy I read the reviews here. I put it in the drawer and never thought I would find a use for it. Yay MUA!

This brush is lovely and soft, but as some other reviewers have noted, it's a little bit too soft for applying foundation. It just doesn't buff the powder in like it should. However, I find it's perfect for lightly dusting lucent powders after I've applied my foundation. For the price it was good value, and it seems to be holding together well after many washes.

I love this brush! I always used EDM's flat top kabuki to apply my EMD bases but had to use this one day (flat top was still wet from washing) and haven't looked back. I find it gives the same sort of coverage as the flat top but makes my skin feel like there is less product on it. I cant really explain it very well. lol But i love this brush. It has never shed, is washed regulary and is always just as soft as when I first got it. Love love love it

I love this brush. Tossed my Bobbi Brown short kabuki for it. It doesn't shed, feels very soft after multiple washings and the handle length is just right for me. Layers on mineral foundation well and is much easier to use to buff it in than a regular kabuki. I need another for my purse so I will definitely repurchase
