It makes my fine, but thick, wavy (2b/c) hair stringy, especially the first day. It's better the second day, which is why it gets a 3. Also, it is light weight and washes out easily. There might be cheaper products that do the same thing though.

This stuff is so-so for me. For reference, I have thick, shoulder-length 3B curls. When I use only the mousse gel in my hair it loosens the curls and I get less definition and more frizz. However, if I apply the mousse gel and use a spray gel over it I get really shiny, defined curls. I chose no for purchasing the product again. I just don't have time to experiment with different hair concoctions and mixtures to figure out what might work. I've been using DevaCurl AnGel and it's the only product I need! I gave the mousse gel a 3 overall since it looks ok when mixed with another product.

A/G produces excellent products for those with wavy and curly hair. If you are looking for a beachy wavy look, then Recoil is a good choice, however, if you are looking for a more curlier look, then A/G Curl's Mousse Gel is the product you want ....... my waves are turned into curls ....... my curls are left feeling soft, defined and shiny (this mousse does not dry out your hair nor leaves your hair crunchy.) I basically wash and go ...... after washing my hair, I put on some of the mousse gel, scrunch my hair, and I get nice curls ......... I have been cheating on A/G with other brands, due to not having A/G readily available, however, I went to A/G's official site last week, and used to salon locator and found a nearby salon ...... while there one of the hairdressers recommended Mousse Gel to me, and I am really happy that I purchased it ....... I like to wear my wavy hair in different looks, and when I basically want to wash and go and have that bedhead look, I prefer either Recoil or Mousse Gel depending on how wavy or curly I want my hair to look.

Great product for my thick curls. It gives a good amount of hold but doesn't leave my hair sticky, stringy or crunchy. It encourages my curl and leaves it looking healthy.
