Definitely recommend for Pale skin and fake tan haters. I put this on before I go to bed. In the morning I wake up with an even golden tan that looks natural. It is very easy to apply and you can apply it anywhere - I actually used it on my face when I ran out of my gradual facial tan and it gave me a healthy glow without irritating my face. This product smells good however it does smell strongly of cocoa butter once developed but once I shower, the smell is gone. The bottle lasts a long time and it also contains Vitamin E - it makes me feel as if i'm doing my skin a favor! I trust Palmer's - a great brand with quality products. Love It!

I really like this tanner! It is buildable so that if you want a darker tan, you can for instance put it on two nights in a row (I put my on at night, before bed) or you can just put it on one night once a week. For me, this is enough. I get a great tan, without looking orange. It also holds for a long time, so if you are someone who showers often, and you are afraid that the tan will disappear because of this, you really don't need to worry about that. There is a certain smell to it, but that pretty much goes for all selftanners. I just shower in the morning, and the smell goes away. Also, I haven't expirienced any discoloring on either my clothes or bedsheets, wich is a good thing. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with this product.

I consider myself a fake tan expert, using fake tans for about 30 years now. I've seen many of them come and go! I made a conscious decision to try this gradual tanner because I like Palmers products and I like the cocoa butter smell. However, I used this product once and will never, ever use it again due to the smell. Even though it cost me €8, and that was on special, and I hate to waste money - I couldn't bear to be subjected to that disgusting smell again. It was nice when I put it on - it smells strongly like chocolate, but it's quite over powering. Once, years ago, when I put a Yardley fake tan on at night, my husband left our bedroom for the spare room - it had macadamia or something like than in it. Well, I don't know how he stayed with me the night I put this product on, because I felt like getting up in the middle of the night and showering it off because it made me so nauseous. Yuck! I will never buy again and would never recommend this product to anyone.

I love love love this!!! I first bought largest bottle for something like $12 which is incredibly cheap considering how much product you get. It smells like chocolate with a hint of vanilla. It is easy to apply however you must apply everywhere evenly or you will end up with lines Iike I have before. Over application can make me turn orange sometimes so I do a coat a day for 2-3 days and it's perfect. I put it all over me at night (it take a while to dry) and when I wake up in the morning there is a significant difference. A truly fantastic product although it takes a little time to apply and dry, it's so worth it for the result.

After reading numerous fake tan reviews this one seemed to get the best. I am no expert at applying fake tans so this did come out a bit patchy but that was my fault. It was a nice golden colour however it was difficult to get off and I smelt like a biscuit for about a week.

I have naturally tan / olive skin, but I'd been looking a tad pale recently so I bought this to brighten my skin up. To make sure it turned a good colour, I put this only on my legs, right before bed. The next morning, my legs were a nice golden colour, although my feet looked a little too dark and patchy, so be careful around that area! Unfortunately, I'd also forgotten to wash my hands, so they turned orange - not best attractive. I literally tried everything to scrub it off, but succeeded in only lightening it slightly (using toothpaste and exfoliating gloves). Guess I'll have to wait for it to fade. So my advice is to be careful when applying to the hands, feet and other problem areas, because it's really hard to get off! I'm planning on using this on the rest of my body today, so I hope I don't go orange. Other cons are the smell - it smells delicious going on, but if you apply too much you get a faint, biscuity smell but it's not too bad or noticeable. On the upside, it comes out a nice colour if you get the application right and the bottle is big with a nice pump, and it's not at all expensive. As a first time tanner, I feel inclined to believe that this is a good product that I used wrong, so for that reason I would recommend and use it again. :)

I LOVE this fake tan. I'm pretty pale (especially because i'm just coming out of winter) and just one coat of this gives me a nice natural healthy-looking bronze glow. My friends couldn't believe it was fake when i told them. It also develops really fast. I exfoliate, moisturise then apply the tan before i go to bed and the next morning you can already see it. I've tried Johnsons and Nivea and neither of these worked this fast. The consistency is really good and you don't have to wait forever for it to dry before getting dressed. I've had no streaking at all, just make sure you rub it in really well before it soaks in too much. It does have that fake tan smell but it's not as strong as other gradual/normal tanners. I think the cocoa butter helps it a bit.
Amazing product and very affordable. I'll def be repurchasing when my bottle runs out!

I love this fake tan. I'm blonde and quite fair, but this is the only product that doesn't streak, goes on smooth, sets well and is a lovely colour. Not orange, unless you use waaaay too much. Smells great as far as fake tanners go too. Cocoa, biscuit, whatever, I actually like it compared to others like Dove. Btw, Dove gradual tanner balls up on my skin and is gross. This Wears off well, but you have to exfoliate and mosturise regularly - but this is the same with all fake tans. Great, and will continue to use forever and ever.

I like this product and I will often combine it with another tanning lotion (makes for the perfect colour) so it's a bit gentler/moisturising and not as harsh/fake looking than just using fake tanner. It smells pretty good. Brilliant in summer but I find that used on it's own in winter however, if I get cold (being so white) it takes on a bit of a jaundice yellow colour on my skin.

I'm not a self tan expert but this is a great gradual tanner for light skins. Some gradual tanners for light skin take days to for any colour develop and then when it does it's kind of orange. This one gives a very natural wash of colo golden/olive colour within hours and blends well without streaking. The smell is kind of chocolatey and then gets biscuitey, like most fake tans! The packaging doesn't look great however the pump dispenser is very useful. I will buy this again.

I'm a biracial NC20 with natural golden tones. I was expecting a lot of this gradual tanner as I like the Palmers brand. However, I think it's very medicore. The smell is okay at first but within an hour develops into a biscuit/vomit sort of smell?! It's so nasty, much more potent than other gradual tanners I've tried. The colour is not natural looking on me - whilst it's not that dark, it is very oranged toned. The fading is dreadful too, makes me look like a repitle shedding it's skin. It was rather moisturizing though. Wasn't impressed with this.

Great tanning moisturiser. Gives me colour within 2 coats on my pale skin. Has a nice smell which fades to nothing after a while. Leaves skin feeling soft. Maybe a little thick for using on hot days and has occasional build up on ankles, underarms etc but otherwise a great product. I have recommended this to many!!

I can't exactly decide how I feel about this product. It was recommended to me by a friend whose sister swears by it, and my mum also had good results. I like how you wake up with noticeable colour, and it is probably the most believable colour I've had on my very fair skin. But....it smells briefly like the regular cocoa butter before turning into a freshly peeled potato skin smell, which isn't very pleasant. As it dries, it turns into a distinct fake tan,"old wet biscuit" smell. It also has a tendency to look streaky, even though I exfoliate and moisturise in advance. I find it looks better if I buff it back by exfoliating after the first application, and then applying another lot that night. It doesn't make me much darker, but it does get rid of some of the bigger streaks. I'll either use up this bottle (since I don't hate it), or give it to my mum since it works very well for her. However, I will be trying another self-tanner next time I need one. Oh, and just a tip...I had a product buildup around my achilles, I found rubbing witchhazel on the area really helped get rid of the excess :)

I am in love with this Tanner! I have quite high expectations of tanners, as I feel there is no reason why you can't achieve a salon-finish tan at home in this day and age.
Palmers is easy to apply (love the pump bottle - no more getting tan all over the bottle!) Believeable natural golden/olive tan colour after one coat (not orange). I only apply one coat because I am quite fair and one coat is all I need. I don't apply it to my face (I use Clinique's Tinted Lotion for Face, which matches the Palmers on my upper body perfectly). Delicious scent! I've read that it's a little strong for some people, but I love it, and you don't get that 'fake tan' smell at all. One gentlemen even remarked that "you smell like cookies!".
It's also quick drying which is an absolute must for me, as I don't have tons of time to be standing around.
Fantastic price! I normally use Clinique's Tinted Lotion in Light/Med, but when you tan all the time it gets a little exxy, so I now use this one, which is the exact dupe colour-wise and is alot cheaper!
Overall, one of the best tanners that tick all the right boxes for me.
Repurchase for sure!

I quite liked this product as it gave a nice believable golden colour on me after applying 2 coats.I found it started to look a little patchy though on certain area's like my chest and arms with repeated applications, but it has a nice scent, and it absorbs easily into the skin.Good price too so i would probably buy this again!

The colour this product gives is really natural, even on my pink/blue-toned skin. I also like that the cocoa scent covers up some of that awful "fake tan" smell. My favourite thing about this product is the pump dispenser, which is heaps easier to use than the flip-top bottles from Dove/Avon etc. I do find that it stings a bit - I have this problem with all Palmer's products though, and as long as I keep them away from my face it's not unbearable. This is probably the best gradual self-tanner I've used in terms of colour and smell.

This product was far too rich for my skin, and broke me out all over my body- even my legs!!
However, it gave me a nice, believable color with no orange tones to it. The pump pack is convenient and mess-free and really good value. I personally can't stand the smell- VERY rich and chocolate-y - but some people may love it.

I won't repurchase because of the break outs, but this would be perfect for anyone with pale skin on the dry side.

I am super, super pale. I cannot stress enough how pale I am. I also don't have any yellow tones in my skin at all. This means that most fake tanners look ridiculously orange on me. This one is the exception. It gives me a believable light tan and never looks streaky or uneven. The smell is probably the only downfall of this product. To me, it doesn't smell like fake tanner at all which is amazing because Dove, Nivea, Holiday Skin etc all stink. It smells strongly like sweet biscuits... not really like chocolate, just quite sweet. I guess it's better than smelling like fake tan, but it's quite over powering. Doesn't make me not buy it though, I just put up with it.
