I use this as my moisturizer with nothing over top. I find it extreamely effective. It's soothing, calming and it just makes my skin look great. Its perfect under makeup as well. My skin is ultra sensitive, and this serum just calms redness right down. It does not clog my pores either! Definately HG!

edited to add december 5th 2011: this was great for my skin for about 5 months. it then started to leave a greasy residue that came off on makeup brushes and applicator sponges. actually ended up contributing to oiliness when worn alone without makeup. started developing whiteheads in various places. discontinued use for 2 weeks and skin began to clear. either my skin changed or the formulation changed - no deviation from skin care routine or facial products used. tested this with and without makeup. not sure what is in this that made my skin revolt but am gutted to find that, for my sensitive combination skin, this serum is not good for long-term use. it started off beautifully, and ended up creating skin problems. not very much in the bottle for the price either, which is another issue. this went a long way at first but when i started using it on my neck and face the bottle was gone within 3 weeks. going back to boots botanics sensitive skin serum.

(original review below)
**this is a review of vichy aqualia thermal serum**
smooth texture that is easily and quickly absorbed, no greasy after feel, no oils blocking up my pores - just moisture. a very light fresh scent that my usually fragrance-intolerant skin is not troubled by. 2 pumps of this covers my face. spreads beautifully. after 5 days of once daily use, my skin is visibly plumper, more even toned, and left feeling incredibly soothed. this is, hands down, the *best* purchase i've made so far this year.
comes in a sturdy yet pretty glass bottle, with a well-constructed pump that is easy to control when dispensing.
will repurchase forever.

I am really liking this . I bought it in cvs and the SA told me that its meant to go UNDER your moisturizer , similiar idea to the hydrating b gel by skinceuticals. For me , this works so much better on my skin and its half the price!! On days that I dont remember to use it or am too lazy , i notice a difference in my skin. The bottle is great. its a pump which i really like. CVS has a great return policy so you have nothing to lose but to try this.

This product is great for sensitive skin, as I used it after my face was peeling and it didn't sting like some other moisturiser I used. This essence has a light texture that is not greasy and leaves no sticky after feeling.
The "moisture" remains only for a while after a while it feels like there is absolutely nothing on your face...
My complain is that this is definitely not moisturising enough for my dry to normal skin especially over the night..I guess you should get anight cream
.Not sure if I can really see the "moisturizing effect" on the flakey spots.
I had to use La Roche-Posay's cream for skin made dry by products.. That was REALLY moisturising :)
However I think this product would be great for oily skin, summer wear or day use.
But it costs 49sgd!! Not sure if it justifies the cost....Since I don't see much effect besides the beautiful pump, texture and smell

I am actually surprised to see that this product is so low-rated. I've been using this for the past 6 months (I just repurchased it) and is by far the best moisturizer that works with my oily skin especially during summer. I used to have Aqualia Thermal Light and it was quite heavy for me so I changed for this serum. This one is absorbed quickly without leaving any greasy feeling. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump and costs about 20 euros. I will keep repurchasing for sure!!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal [Serum] Fortifying & Soothing 24Hr Hydrating Concentrate:
This product is NOT meant to be used as a stand-alone moisturizer, but instead it's supposed to be applied UNDERNEATH your moisturizer. I didn't realize this at first, so my first impression was that it wasn't very soothing or hydrating. But after I started using it properly with a moisturizer, it worked fantastically well.
I apply just a pea-ish size amount, fan my face with my hands for a few seconds, and then apply a Cetaphil moisturizer. It's a light-feeling serum, so it spreads over the skin very easily. The packaging is nice (glass bottle pump) and it has a pleasant, very mild fragrance.
I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin that gets very flaky in the winter, and this serum totally hydrates my skin and gets rid of my flakes. Yay Vichy!

My skin still feels tight and dry after application of this. And I break out more than I used to. I am dissapointed. I was hoping this would be a great moisturizer for me.

This is okay, but I prefer to try and use natural products as much as possible. I use this moisturizer at night. I bought it from a convincing sales lady at shoppers drug mart. Otherwise I don't know if I would Have even considered it.

I've been trying a sample of this from SDM. I have been having issues with my skin flaking now that the weather has changed.
The fist thing I dislike about this is that it has no level of spf, which is absolutely necessary these days.
This moisturizer is nice and rich, but it absorbs very slowly. I wash my face at about 8pm and apply it. I can still feel it sitting on my skin when I go to bed at 10 30 pm. However, when i wake up in the morning my skin is as dry as it was before. It feels like I have not applied moisturizer at all.
Worst of all, this moisturizer is marketed to be very gentle. When I apply it it makes my skin burn. Not badly, but enough to turn me off. My previous moisturizer, Avene hydrance optimal riche, seems to be much better. No burning at all. Its not HG though.
Essentially, this is garbage. Save your money. Btw, i rated the price of this as dirt cheap because it was a sample.

I have tried the Aqualia Light cream last night and this product is the worst moisturiser I could buy!!!
I'm sorry...but this smells very unappealling to me, it's sticky and my skin seemed not to like it too much...it didnt dry in , it just stayed on top of my face even after a few hours.
Worst thing is the it made me break-out like crazy! This morning I was terrified ... spots appeared overnight! Im trying to get rid of them ... not get more of them... So this moisturiser is out of the question!
I wouldnt buy it again!

I am currently using the serum out of this line and I find it to be nice and light for oily skin, but still moisturizing enough for the dry areas. I received this for free from a Vichy school (I'm a cosmetician) and am quite pleased. I may actually purchase this when its all used up!

I have used this for a couple of weeks and I am really satisfied (my skin is mixed & sensitive). I have the light one. Very moisturising, light fragrance not irritating at all. Really love it! No clogged pores and it feels comfortable on skin.

I used as a daily cream oligo -25 green and it was quite good on me on the hot days of greek summer. The last week came on market aqualia and as i was out of cream i took this because i wanted something more moistruzing. Well for a combination skin like mine is very very good. Of course the review is for the legere aqualia not the rich.It has nice smell,it hydrates well and it's not heavy at all. Before the use my skin although a little bit of oily needed moisture...And during the one week use it feels comfortable again..If in a month from now my skin is good with it will reprachase for sure...The nicest thing is that it comes out in two forms of packaging and you have the opporunity to choose...Very smart thinking of vichy that one...
UPDATE: 26/12/07 Still in love with that one but I use now the serum of this range as well. Without the serum it is not that moisturesing.I think that the serum does all the work...
2nd UPDATE: 7/10/08Reduced lippies from 5 to 3. Unfortunately my skin became quite dry and even the formula with UVA and UVB protection that i used not only didn't moisture my skin but also made the oily areas much oiler. It was nice for start but know it doesn't do.HOWEVER the SERUM of this line is very good. Now I use Avene Hydrance Optimale spf 20 which is way better than aqualia.

This product was recommened by my BA at LD for my daughter. She had used the tissue Puffs with Lotion and it burned her skin terribly ( that is a seperate issue). Her face was red dry itchy and very sore. The BA recommened Vichy as it is great for sensitive skin and they have launched this new product Aqualia which soothes and rehydrates.
We were both a little nervous that the cream would burn on her skin. We applied a very little amount to test and were both relieved to find that it didn't burn or sting. After 2 applications both at night before bed her skin is not red and it is not dry. It looks like it will still peel but we will continue to use the product as she goes through the peeling. I am just so greatful to have bought this product.
