Siberian Nights is a two-coater vampy creme. In many lights, it appears near-black, but in bright lighting and sunlight, you can see that it's actually a deep eggplant with some slight dustiness. It's quite similar to China Glaze VIII in my opinion, though VIII is slightly more blurple; Siberian Nights has the faintest touch of grape-jelly. Siberian Nights also lasts longer on me. So I kept Siberian Nights and purged VIII. I have very pale, pinky-toned skin and this color is one of the most flattering deep vamps out there for me. Goes just as well with a chunky cable knit and some hot cocoa as it does with layers of silver chains and a studded bracelet.

I love the deep dark purple, it almost looks black when applied three times. A nice choice for fall/winter

I love the deep eggplant of this, I really do. And for that alone, I'd buy it again. It is a deep creamy eggplant, cool and dark. But getting it on can be a terror. The first time, it took me three coats to get the kind of even application I wanted, and by that point, it was basically black with a faint purple cast, and then my topcoat ate right through it, making it streaky as all get out all over again. So I did it again, with very thin, very even coats, only two, and it turned out nicely. The trick is to let the coats really dry between applications, and it seems to work out. Chips a bit, but the colour is just so beautiful that I forgive it. And the name -- I'm in love with the Russian collection.

This color is awesome! A very cool and mysterious purple creme! Siberian Nights is in my dark polish rotation. Very striking against fair skin. I love it on my toes!

I love this product. i normally stay away from dark colors but i had to buy this one! It dries very fast and is opaque in 2 coats. I bought it at ulta for $8.00! pretty expensive but worth it:)

So I never write reviews for nail polish but this one is bad. The formula is so dang thick that it's impossible to do thin coats for opaqueness. It dries awful, bubbles, takes forever. The color is nice but I just can't sit and wait for two hours for my nails to dry. Sorry OPI but this one was a waste.

I'm a bit disappointed by this nail polish. I was looking for a dark purple and wanted to buy Pamplona Purple but it's not available anymore here in Belgium, so i settled for Siberian Nights. In the bottle it looked like a nice, dark purple, but on my nails, and after only 2 coats, it looks almost black. You can tell it's purple only when you're in bright daylight. As I already have a black nail polish I'm not sure I will us this one again. I may try with thinner coats, but I'm afraid it'll look stripy. Wirst disappointment with OPI... Oh, and it has already chipped after only 2 days, even with OPI top coat on it.

Deeeeeeeeeeeeeep black/purple. Almost looks navy blue on. Very inky on my nails--like I colored them in with a sharpie. I think I prefer Lincoln Park After Dark more.

This is like the Russian Navy but an EGGPLANT DARK PURPLE. It's beautiful. It does look black until you hit the sun, just like Russian Navy! :)

In the bottle it looks like a beautiful deep dark eggplant purple BUT after two coats it looks basically black. With one coat you can see that it's purple but it's very streaky so you need a second coat which will make it black. Ehhhhh very disappointed :(

Siberian Nights is a beautiful dark purple. It looks almost black and reminds me of egplants. Its a creme so there are no sparkles which to me looks more polished and professional. Also, if you're into the vampy look this is the color for you! I hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

This is a fantastic polish. It is very dark, but it's definitely not black and looks very dark purple in most lights to me against my pale skin. The formula is very good and easy to apply and the pro wide brush makes neat application easy, which is always a good thing with dark polishes. One of my favourite OPIs!

I'm on my second bottle of this polish, which I favor over LPAD. It doesnt look black, but still very dark. Just applied with a coat of NYC starry silver glitter on top, and I can't stop goofily admiring my nails. They look like little swatches of the sky at night. I'm fair and cool toned, for ref.

I like this color better that LPAD, its a dark eggplant color that is very nice. The only thing i don't like is that the formula is pretty thin and is easy to chip even with two coats.

This is a great deep deep purple. It looks almost black in the bottle. This is a purple done right if your digging the vampire look. An this time of year I am. lol Okay well it's a great deep purple with no shimmer, glitter,or under tone. I love it.

I was a little disappointed with this. If I want to get almost black it definitely takes 3 coats, but with 2 coats (one thin, one medium) it's definitely the deep purple you see in the bottle. Application on the first coat is streaky, but with one more it's even and covers everything. Anyway, I was hoping for darker, which I found, just not with this polish. Also it's almost an exact dupe of WnW 'disturbia', but I don't count that against it. I probably won't buy it again, but it's not a bad polish just not what I wanted.

Love this vampy deep violet creme! I was able to swap for this color not long ago and just got around to trying it - it looks great against my very fair cool toned skin. Regarding the reviews which said this color looks black in some lighting - I disagree, I can tell it's dark purple even at night under dim lighting. And it is a very shiny creme - not matte. I love the deep violet eggplant color - it makes SN slightly different from all the plum purple vampys I've seen. The formula is great - minimal mess and done in two coats. Would definitely purchase if I ever run out. EDIT: Several months later I'm still loving this polish, it's a great fall color. However, it often chips the same day I apply it :( Even with two coats and a top coat I get tip wear quickly. This is unusual for OPI polishes, but I will still continue to wear the color because I love it.

I am drawn to "vampy" colors. I loved how Siberian Nights looked in the bottle. After 2 coats, I discovered that it looked like the other 908439094 vampy colors that I already owned. I was disappointed that it appeared near-black instead of the purple that was in the bottle. I also wasn't a fan of the too-wide brush. However, I still like the color and quality of the polish itself. I would have liked it better if I hadn't already owned a Rimmel polish that is similiar to this color.

I bought this colour looking for a dark cool-toned purple, but like a lot of people have said, it looks almost black in poor lighting, and it can be somewhat muddy looking.

I decided to pour a bit of it out and put in some white polish and it is now my favourite colour to wear!! I decided I wouldn't have worn it much in its original shade, but now its still dark, and just light enough to see the purple. I would liken this new shade to OPI Sapphire in the Snow but with less blue and more purple/grey. It has definitely been my staple colour this winter!!!
