I bought this because I loved Shock Therapy and was crushed when it was discontinued. This seemed like a bar soap/scrub version of Shock Therapy, so I was very excited. However, this is just not even close to being as good.
First of all, the size and shape of it makes it awkward to use in the shower, pretty much meaning you have to use some sort of scrubbie or gloves with it, which can make it a little too abrasive for all-over washing.
Secondly, it seems to suck all of the moisture out of my skin, leaving me with that awful tight feeling. Maybe it's a ploy to get us to buy their body butters, I don't know, but it's not good when it does that to my somewhat oily body. After using this I always have to use another body soap and even though I rarely moisturize my body, normally have to slather on lotion, too.
I've given it two stars because it is exfoliating (somewhat, hardly the best I've ever tried) and it does give you that cool, tingly mint feeling. It is also very large, which makes it an okay deal as far as the price, though with bar soap I'd much rather have a pack of a few smaller ones than this one gigantic one. It also does leave that nice minty smell on your skin for awhile after getting out of the shower, though my need to use another product with it kills that smell pretty quickly.

THis soap is pretty awesome! It is HUGE and a little difficult for girl hands to hold onto but can easily be cut into smaller pieces. I didnt find it abrasive at all but I use sugar and salt scrubs all the time...I like a good scrubbin' It does smell like mint toothepaste...which I didnt think I would be crazy about but it does perk you up and is the best thing ever after a workout. If your hot and sweaty the menthol cooling feeling is worth the price of admission! Its hot and humid here in NJ and I went jogging came home and used this soap for the first time and I actually felt cold when i got out... like i couldnt wait to dry off an put my clothes on...that was awesome! I hate when I still feel hot after a shower. It also has a nice light fluffy lather .... I have sinced used the soap a few times and havent put a dent in it..I think it will last a long time so I dont feel at all bad about the $18 that I spent. This is def my after workout soap... OH and the smell doesnt linger on your skin which is good ( for me anyway) but does leave your bathroom smelling pretty darn good.

It smells very refreshing and is great in the morning or when feeling worn out. It leaves a cool, refreshing feeling. The bar is pretty big, I almost cut it into half but didn't. I don't rub the bar on my skin but in my palms because it is too abrasive. It's expensive. $18 for a 11 oz.

This is just too mammoth for me. I like the mintiness, the tingling, and the beads in it but it's just huge and won't fit in any of my soap dishes. The size also makes it hard to use. I also like variety in my bath products so I got bored of using it after a while, just couldn't wait to finish it. Eventually, I had to break it in half to use it more easily. Also, this is really drying so it cased me to get some rashes on my tummy. But I still like the minty feel of the soap so i will switch over to the liquid version of this.

I love this soap. It makes the whole bathroom smell like peppermint, and it lasts a long time. It makes my skin feel clean. I do agree that the scrubbies are a little harsh at first, but as the soap wears down, they get less severe.

Pros: It smells delicious. It leaves your skin feeling smooth, cooled, and refreshed. The bathroom will smell nice. It's big.
Cons: It's expensive. The scrub particles can be a little much.
Overall: I recommend using a washcloth to create a lather and then cleanse with the cloth instead of rubbing the bar on your skin. The bar is pretty abrasive when used alone. I'm glad it's an oversized bar, because it's really not cheap, but the downside of an oversized bar is that it's somewhat unwieldy in the shower. However, I do like it and those who need a pick-me-up in the morning will likely agree.

Wonderful minty, refreshing soap. However, the scrubbing beads were way too harsh for my sensitive skin. It kind of felt like taking a belt sander to my skin. Maybe a little dramatic, but the scrubbies actually hurt. For that reason, I won't be buying this again, but I did love the peppermint smell.

$16 is a lot for a bar of soap, but i feel that this one was totally worth it. the smell is just incredible - great for a morning shower pick me up or a relaxing evening bath. it exfolates the skin and lathers up nicely when used w/ a mesh shower sponge. this stuff lasts for a long time, so it is a good investment.

This was a very refreshing experience! It's like taking a shower with toothpaste, except this is a really big bar. Don't scrub too hard if you have sensitive skin- I saw scratch marks because the "blue scrubbies" are a bit harsh. But I'll learn... good soap- a good buy, if you can get it with some kind of friends and family discount.

Even my husbands uses this soap! It smells minty fresh and it's a nice sized bar of soap. It massages while it exfoliates the dead skin. It leaves the skin feeling all tingly after the shower. The entire bathroom smells minty fresh afterwards too! It's pretty expensive for a bar of soap.... but it is worth it.

I will always have 2 bars of this on hand! The scent is like bathing with an Andes Dinner Mint! Even though it's an exfoliating soap, I have no problems using it every day. The price is, for me, well worth it!

LOVE THIS SOAP!!! Yes, it is minty and mammoth. You have to really like the scent of mint to like this. I smelled BBW's version and didn't think it smells as strongly as the Bliss one. As for the mammoth size, I simply cut it in thirds. It is a rough exfoliater but I don't mind it rough esp when it does an excellent job and makes my skin super smooth. With no problem it gets rid of the bumps I get on my upperarms. It makes my skin tingle and would probably feel great in hot weather to cool you down. $16 is a lot for a bar of soap, but its huge so lasts a while and I really like it so I would definitely buy it again.

Another painful experience from Bliss! The name is a little ironic to say the least!
Apart from the scent this hurts like hell and is only good for cleaning carpets in my opinion.
I think steal wool might be less painful than this overpriced bar of soap!
The fancy name just doesn't cut it I'm afraid but it sure cut me!

Why pay $16 for this bar when you can go to Bath and Body Works and get the same exact product for $8? If anything, B&BW's peppermint soap has more little gritty blue dots and does a better job of exfoliating. Save your money!!

Creates a nice creamy, soft, fine lather; cools the body down so is great for summer and lasts a very long time so is worth the money.

I use this on days when I exfoliate, LOVE this stuff! It does tingle, but many peppermint soaps I have used do (especially Dr. Bronner's). I have very sensitive skin, so I limit it to 1-2 x a week. It's not overly drying and definately does the job exfoliating! It's a bit pricey for soap, but worth it in my eyes! One of my staples.

After this bottle is finished I don't think I'll buy anymore..Not because I don't like it , because I don't think it's worth the money. Really overpriced. Leaves the skin feeling great though.... very nice after a workout. I feel cool and refreshed. My husband loves it. If you do buy and use , don't use DOWN THERE. It has a tingly sensation. Don't know if it's good or bad though. But if a tingly sensation is your bag...than this is your product.

You can't get bored with the yummy mint smell, and the little blue bits make you feel very clean. It's not overly drying either.

~$16 is a lot to spend on a bar of soap, so I don't know if I'll be stocking up on this scrubbing bar from Bliss Labs all that often. The bar is large, but I notice it depletes quickly, especially if you use it everyday. I do enjoy the brisk peppermint scent very much, and it lathers well, so you can use it to clean as well as exfoliate. It's an indulgence, but I'll leave room for it on my holiday wish list.
