I love love love this product, I purchased this on whim in a mineral makeup set at Walmart. The loose powder comes in really weird packaging.. I do not use the brush included because it seem impractical. I just tap some powder in the cap and use my own powder brush. I have really oily skin and I believe that this is the best drugstore setting powder I have used. It definitely keeps my face matte after application of all my makeup for about 4-5 hours before blotting!!! I will definitely repurchase. I wish this came in a container rather than the weird brush applicator packaging...

I just bought this last week as part of a kit. (15 bucks at walmart) I have to say I LOVE IT. Love! It makes my skin look so smooth and flawless. I have blotchy skin with redness and some acne scars and with this powder you can't see any of it. I notce people who know me looking at my face like something is different. I'm pretty sure ill never be without it. I think this would be the only thing I would take out with me for touch ups. Its perfect. Keep making it ill keep buying it!

My skin gets oily pretty fast on my t-zone and this helps A LOT. I use MAC Studio Fix powder foundation on top of Hard Candy Sheer Envy primer and I find it's not oil controlling enough...so I was using loose powder on top. It did ok, but I still had to blot my face every hour pretty much. I noticed a difference the first time I used this...First it gives a nice finish to your skin..matte but not too dry looking, kind of a satin finish (hard to explain) ....just better looking than a reg loose powder. I put this on top of my makeup and went out shopping for about an hour and a half...I looked in the mirror when I got home I WASN'T SHINY!!!!..nice satiny smooth finish...still. As far as the packaging it's a nice idea, it makes it so you can bring it in your bag for easy touch ups...BUT...I initially apply it with my own powder brush because the brush it comes with is kinda scratchy...but it's ok for touch ups on the go. I can't relate to the people reviewing this below when they say how the powder doesn't come out through the brush...... the first time I used it I shook the thing anticipating a struggle and powder went flying all over the place..LOL...so mine works just fine. I got this in a package deal that included a blush and a pressed powder. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a more yellow/neutral colour....it's fine on me (translucent) but it's a little pinkish and I'm trying to tone down the redness in my face. I think generally speaking most people look better with yellow/neutral powders.

first off the packaging is horrible because u can barelyget anything out. the formula is effective though but u might as well unscrew the brush and dip it into the container that the powder is in. when i bought this i bought it in a kit for 28 bucks that comes w/ and pressed powder, the veil and blush which if i had bought them seperatly it would had costed over 50 dolllars to i guess i was worth.

Great for those who are acne prone & oily/combo skin.
Especially since I have sensitive skin, I love this product.
For one, I don't wear makeup other than on the eye. But I have tried "drugstore" compact foundations & powders before but they always break me out since I am acne prone.
I have got to agree with everyone else about the packaging, I've tried to make it work but I just ended up wasting product, so I gave up, and the brush was such a pain to wash, so there's no point in using it, since it is rough & not soft at all.
I can wear this powder just alone by itself, and it keeps my face matte, and during the day it gives it a nice natural glow & does not look powdery or caked on, so I do not look greasy.
It also doesn't give a white cast, so it looks very natural, best of all it doesn't break me out!
On days where I want more coverage I used this over the Physicians Formula SPF spf 50 powder. And I use the Mineral Wear correcting powder and it leaves me matte all day, no touch ups needed!
On other days, I would just wear the primer and this powder over it or just the primer itself since the primer evens out my skintone.
I've got to say I love that Physicians Formula has natural ingredients & no talc. Great for those with sensitive skin, acne prone. It doesn't cover up redness if you use it alone but with the primer it is the best combination ever.

This is a good translucent powder. A lot of people are having problems with the brush but oddly enough, I don't mind it. It's not the softest powder brush I've ever used but it works and I like how it's small enough that I can get the powder into the tiny crevices of my face. I heard that the powder gets sent through the brush, but I don't know how that works. Maybe they've changed it? What I do is twist off the cap and dip the brush inside the container that has holes to prevent too much product from getting out which is very similar to Bare Escentuals. So all in all, I really like the powder and the brush is definitely useable, and since it's Physician's Formula, I doubt it will break me out.

I actually believe I may have finally found my HG face powder! I've only used this a couple of times, but so far it is amazing. I have never used another powder (including high-end brands) that controls shine the way this does. I put on make-up (foundation and this powder) late this morning, and my skin still looks flawless (now late afternoon). It doesn't even feel oily; usually my face is an oil slick by this point.
The packaging is really bad. I will definitely be liberating the powder into another container. And the brush is awful; don't even bother using it.
I'm still kind of waiting for something bad to happen (breakouts or other bad reaction) because I've rarely used anything that works this well. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I actually got this in a gift set (it included a mineral wear blush and foundation as well) for about $18, which is great considering most Physician's Formula products retail for at least $14 each. I was extremely unhappy with the attached brush; it felt rough and like it was scratching my skin. However, applying it with a large face brush I found it to give me such a flawless look! I will definitely be sticking with this until I find something I like better.

I have very very oily skin that breaksout so easily. and this is definitly my HG powder! I cannot live without it. I use the other PF mineral wear products and this over top and my skin looks flawless! I get sooo many compliments on my skin and I have to say it's thanks to this product. It looks like your skin is airbrushed. I don't like the idea of the packaging so I pour the powder into an empty container of mineral wear powder foundation and use either my kabuki brush or a fluffy blush brush and it works wonders. Definitly worth the 11 bucks!

YIKESSS! I just started using this brand because i have sensitive skin. I used it for the first time yesterday and i have a rash all over my face. They're are little red bumps everywhere. Kinda confused because its supposed to be for sensitive skin. not impressed at all. However, i did also just use the normal talc-free pressed mineral face powder by itself for a few days before this product and it didnt cause any irritation..?

I LOVEEEEE THIS STUFF!!! Thankfully, my Rite Aid had this stuff on sale for only 3 bucks. However the original price is somewhere between $13.00-$14.00 dollars. So yes, it's a bit exspensive considering it's a drugstore brand
Other than the price, the only problem I have with this product is the packaging. The brush smells like a goat, makes your face smell like a goat, and the brush (for whatever ungodly reason) doesn't deposit powder evenly onto your face the way it should. To correct this problem, I suggest using another brush. Here's how I get my powder out:
With the lid still on, I shake my bottle. Then I take the lid off. I dip my E.L.F. face brush into the powder and then apply it evenly all over my face.
As long as you have an extra brush handy, then the packaging isn't much of a problem.
So, in short, this stuff makes my foundation and eyeshadow stay MUCH longer. By the end of the day, my make'up's barely budged.
Would I buy this product again? HELL YES!! ;D

I love the entire line of Physicians Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear! My acne-prone sensitive skin has never been better since switching (and continuing to use oil-free sensitive skin moisturizers). This gives great coverage, especially for skin that gets a little shiny & it's totally portable. Lasts throughout most of the day, too.

Got this as a clearance item at Walgreen's for $6.50. I normally use Bare Escentuals, but didn't feel like paying a lot for a finishing powder. I hate the brush that comes with this. Too rough, but probably good enough to use for a touch up on the go. I will use my regular powder brush at home to set the finishing eil. I did notice the first time I wore this powder I had some red bumps on the chin like it was going to break out. Not sure if I scratched up my chin with the built-in brush or if it is actually the product. Will need to use product a bit more to see how skin reacts.

So this is a long review, but if you are looking to really do your research like I was, I hope that I can help! As for the powder.. I can't believe I haven't tried anything like this sooner! I have skin that can sometimes be red & discolored, so I use liquid foundation & a regular loose powder after that to get high coverage. So since I have oily skin, my skin tends to get oily as the hours pass. Before I found this product, I would grab for my regular loose powder & reapply at least a few times a day to blot out the oil. Well, I would find that by the end of the day, after building up my regular loose powder 3 or 4 times, my face would look cakey & even occasionally have an orange tint to it when I would use too much powder after a long day. Awful! Now that I have this product, I still use my liquid foundation & regular loose powder in the morning, but after that I apply a very light coat of this powder to set my makeup & minimize my pores. During the day, when I need a touch up to eliminate oil, I grab for THIS powder & apply a very thin layer. It does the job perfectly, without adding that cakey look or any sort of additional color at all! It's literally invisible once it's on your face. I have noticed that my pores appear smaller when I have this product on. I also feel good knowing that the formula is good for my breakout-prone skin.
So I think we've all come to the conclusion that the packaging for this product isn't the greatest because the brush is a little bit too harsh. The concept of powder flowing through the brush is great & it works to some degree. I use the packaging the way it was made for you to use when I am on the go, because I have no other choice. But when I am at home, I dip one of my softer makeup brushes into the powder to apply it, which makes it so I can apply it a lot more evenly.
All in all, don't expect this powder to give you excellent coverage the way a normal powder is supposed to work. That is not what it is intended for. If you are prone to oily skin, it is excellent for helping blot out those oily's! If you have large pores, it is excellent for minimizing their appearance. If you wear liquid foundation, it is excellent for setting it so that it lasts longer throughout the day. I almost spent $30 to buy the Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil powder which is virtually the same thing. After trying this powder at only $10, I don't even have any interest in trying the Bare Escentuals powder because I am so happy with this one!

Product: I like the feel it's light on my face and makes my pores look smaller.
Packaging: I hate the brush it's rough on my skin. Would like it if it had a much softer brush. Also you can't clean the brush.
If it was packaged in a powder mill it would be more user friendly.
I will buy this product again because I Iike the powder. I hope PF will consider new packageing.

I will echo what other reviewers have said: great product with poor packaging. There are two things I love about this product: it really is translucent and I don't have to worry about getting that cakey too-much powder look, and it is really long-lasting. I used to have to use an oil-blotting strip because of greasiness in my T-zone within about 6 hours of applying my makeup, but now I feel like my face stays matte for much longer.
I still have not figured out the best way to actually get the powder onto the brush... I have trouble getting it to flow through the brush, so I have been unscrewing the top and dipping it onto the sifter, but that gets messy. I think I will have to figure out a separate container to dump the powder into but haven't done that yet. Unfortunately this means it's not a very portable option. But based on the performance of this product I will definitely repurchase.

I love this product. I use it all the time over my makeup as a finishing powder and it really helps. It even works as a touch up during the day instead of the regular powder I use in the morning which is refreshing because this mineral veil powder is not heavy at all and I don't mind reapplying it. It helps to control sign and makes my skin look perfect. My only complaint is the packaging. It has a brush attached to the top of it and the powder is supposed to come through to the brush, which is really doesn't. I always end up just opening it and dipping the brush into the powder and applying it that way. It's a great products and I definitely recommend it for a finishing powder and for touch ups throughout the day.

The powder itself is HG quality. It leaves a matte finish (that lasts for hours), evens out my skin tone, and covers up any imperfection regarding my complexion or how I applied the foundation. The packaging, however, is worthless. (I gave it a 1 for PF's attempt of convenience.) I suggest pouring the contents into another jar or what have you and using a kabuki brush instead. I have repurchased once and plan to do so again.
