If you've read my reviews, you know I've been thru countless skincare products, especially moisturizers. In the end, above La Mer, Bobbi Brown, L'occitane, and Guerlain, this cream from PTR has ended up winning hands down. It definitely is mega rich, but it absorbs wonderfully, moisturized, and leaves my skin very smooth and soft. I haven't noticed much anti-aging in the 2 months I've been using it, but it is the only cream that not only helps dryness but aids in the relief of my dehydration also. As rich as it is, it's not heavy at all and makeup applies over it like a dream! I actually had this for a while before starting to use it...I was so certain that one of theirs expensive creams I was testing would outshine it that I barely gave it a thought. I was so very wrong. It appears pricey at first, but I got the 3.4oz and it is actually super economical considering how little needs to be used, and considering the price of all the luxury moisturizers that claim miracles. Thumbs up again PTR!

I've been using this product as a night cream for the past 3-4 years and I can honestly say that it's kept my skin well nourished. I'm in my mid 30's and people frequently mistaken me for being in my 20's. I think it's because I have so few wrinkles on my face from using this night cream along with my wonderful Shiseido eye cream. This cream is not cheap but is worth the money because it has kept my skin looking young all these years. I highly recommend this product.

Absolutely love this product, especially in the frigid northern winters! My skin is on the dryer side and needs more help when the temperature plummets. On top of that, add the dry heat, the lack of moisture, and winter can wreak havoc with one's skin. Enter Peter Thomas Roth's Mega-Rich anti-Aging Cellular Creme. Pure hydration for the face filled with peptides, vitamins and botanicals that leave my face radiant, glowing and moisturized immediately and for hours.
Mega-Rich appears greasy in the jar. It's shiny. It's consistency is smooth and very easy to spread. A little goes a long way. 1.7 oz at $85.00 US is inexpensive when I think of how long the jar lasts me. Although it seems very shiny in the jar, it doesn't go on my face in a greasy consistency at all. You only need a little because the creme spreads really well. The shine isn't there but a rich radiance is with a rosy glow. My skin feels instantly moisturized and ready to take on the winter weather and dry indoor humidity.
I use Mega-Rich on my face, neck, décolletage and upper and lower eye areas. My skin feels firmer and I've also seen a lessening in my fine lines. It's probably plumping them and also keeping new ones at bay, but that's ok with me. It's working. That's what matters.
I like using a product that has natural ingredients in it, especially if they've been proven to work. Mega-Rich contains Avocado Oil which has natural moisturizing factors and antioxidant properties; Vitamin E, A and C are all antioxidants; Vitamin B5 is an anti-inflammatory; Echinacea moisturizes and conditions; Grape Seed Extract diminishes free radical damage and also has antioxidant properties; and Green and White teas which have the highest concentrations of all the teas for antioxidant properties. There are also a variety of peptides to round out the mix. Because the container is so large and the mouth is wide which I consider unsanitary, I use a scoop to put a smaller amount into a tiny container that I'll use with my fingers. The large jar I keep in the fridge. I'm on my third jar of this classic creme and wouldn't be without it.

The mega-rich line just doesn't work for me. The eye cream burned, and this facial cream made me break out in a red rash all over my face. I love some of the other PTR products, but something in here bothers me.

This is luxury in a container without the $300, La Mer price tag. I tone, apply treatments, and then rub a bit of this into my face. At first, the texture was a little unusual, almost sticky, but my face loves it apparently because soon after I glow. You would think the glow would fade after putting my foundation on, but no, it doesn't, it's still there. Onto the technicalities, I haven't used it long enough to know the effects on anti-aging, but my skin looks healthy and I'm willing to be loyal to it for now until something else catches my eye. ;)

I had been layering oil, serum and then moisturizer on my skin, as it was so dehydrated. Started using this and it is all I need. No more oil or serum needed. I have been using both day and night and my skin has never been happier. It is chock full of good stuff, peptides, vitamins a,c,e, aha's, pretty much all of the ingredients I have ever heard of that are beneficial. A few fine lines that I had, have also vanished after about a month of using this!

At age 42 all of a sudden I noticed my skin felt tight (dry).
I tried so many products! This was the only one that keeps my face feeling "normal"
This is definatly for dry skin types! This is now my HG. I am on my second 4oz jar.

I absolutely love this moisturizer. It is very hydrating and calming on the skin. It gives me a dewy, healthy look. It doesn't cause me to break out, which has been a problem for me in the past when using other moisturizers. Definitely an amazing product :)
UPDATE: This product began breaking me out and therefore I had to stop using it. Also it doesn't have spf in it, which is a definite draw back in terms of anti-aging.

I was hoping for greatness and the skin of a 16 yr old but no! After 5 minutes on my face it looked as though someone had smeared melting crisco on my skin! It was just an oily mess! By the next morning my skin felt a bit smoother but I was just so grossed out! I don't know if I can continue using it but I'll try my best and maybe, just maybe something will change. If it does, I'll report back.........

I got this on their special last year and started using it when I travelled to LA. I usually PEEL from the dryness over there but OMG this moisturizer kept my skin INTACT and super moisturized! It's a great cream, I would normally NOT like something in a jar but this is awesome for my dry skin.

I also feel that ALL my foundations now work on my face when I use this moisturizer which means NO ASHINESS on my face EVERY AGAIN!!! I think I've found my HG moisturizer.

I just wish it were cheap enough for me to buy over and over again!

Although, I generally do not go for creams in pots (prefer tubes since it is more sanitary), this cream is amazing. It is pricey, but you really use a tiny amount which goes a long way. It does not clog my pores or break me out. I wake up feeling moisturized, but not greasy. A must-have for NYC winters.

I absolutely love this moisturizer. I'm on tazorac for Hormonal acne and anti-aging purposes and get dry, dry, dry. Like sahara desert dry!!! this is one of the few moisturizers that I have used that keeps my skin moist and soft. I've been using it for almost three weeks now and I've notice that my fine lines are diminishing and the texture of my overall skin is so much better.

This is a pricey cream. Probally more expensive than any other cream I've ever purchased (Asside from Guerlain Primordiale which I cannot afford!). It smells fresh, not offensive and blends and sinks into my skin very well. I use this mostly at night but have used it during the day when I have dry patches. I know people complain about creams being in jars but there is a reason they do this with the high end creams. The ingredients need a glass jar to preserve the ingredients better. You can also get out all the product without wasting anything. I jsut make sure my hands are clean before dipping into the jar.

I'm really loving most of the PTR line. I did not care for the eye cream that goes with this. It made my eyes water and burn. But everything else I've tried from the line has been top notch!

Great product! I was lucky enough to get this dirt cheap with the recent "O Magazine" promotion and I'm so glad I did. I'm 52 with combination skin; I use this at night and my skin still feels moist when I wake up. I've had no breakouts and a little of the cream is all you need to do your whole face...honestly, I'll be using this for months. Really good quality if you're on the older side and need something truly hydrating.

Excellent face cream! This cream is VERY emollient and hydrating though it aborbs quickly and completely! I use this cream during the colder months and it jut makes my skin look FAB! My face is nowhere near as dry as my eye area, so I don't adore this product as much as the eye version of this but it is still a great product. Its extremely moisturizing but is packed with active ingredients as well. Though pricey, a little goes a very very long way so this product lasts and lasts. Worth the price IMO. Great product from the PTR line!!!

Very hydrating and luxurious. However, Im not sure if its really sinking into my skin because my skin feels moist to touch even 20 minutes after applying, but I love the results when I wake up. Not sure if I want to continue using this every night since its expensive, but I will defnilty use it for the nights my skin needs a little extra tlc.

This cream is a pleasure to use. The texture is creamy but not too heavy and spreads beautifully on the skin. It keeps my skin hydrated all night and when I wake up in the morning my face feels really smooth and soft. My skin looks better since I've been using PTR products.

This stuff is so nice. It sinks in and isn't greasy yet it moisturizes enough for my dry skin. I would say it's like butter- so rich and creamy, and it just sinks in, and skin feels so soft and looks so radiant upon waking in the morning. My aesthetician (sp?) told me my skin was "perfect" except for my sun damage..... I use this and the unwrinkle glycolic peel pads as well as PTR cleanser and the masque. I am really loving this line! *UPDATE* 10/4/10- I believe I'm probably on like, my 5th jar of this stuff? My face has had NO dryness since using this- and believe me, I have dry skin!! Also, using the Peel pads have really faded my sun damage spots... This is my HG staple face cream!! *UPDATE* 1/12/11- I've been through about 5-6 jars of this and it's still my absolute favorite! SO rich, so lovely!!* UPDATE once again- 10/11- Nothing has been as wonderful as SHISEIDO Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer. I am going back and revising my other reviews of the creams I thought were the "best I've tried" because SHISEIDO is now IT. Honestly- The hydration that Shiseido gives me actually lasts SIGNIFICANTLY longer than this PTR one. I can go for days and not touch my face, and I am still super-hydrated, whereas, normally I have dry skin by the end of the day or at least by the next day. If you're using this PTR cream, I'd suggest giving the Shiseido one a try. I'm so glad I did.

My review is for the eye cream from this line. I found it was a perfectly fine eye cream - not greasy, unscented, non-stinging, and sufficiently moisturizing. But it did not wow me or make ant significant improvements to my eye area, and did not give me the correct base for my undereye concealer
