I've been trying to find a replacement for my L'Occitane Almond Milk body creme, and thought I'd try these since they're so economical. I love sweet scents but for my nose this is sickening sweet. Smells like toffee but is so strong it borders on burnt toffee. Its OK initially, and if it faded it would be fine, but it lasts a surprising long time and continues to get more cloying as the hours pass. It is also not moisturizing enough for my normal body skin and my lets and back feel itchy and prickly by the afternoon, something that never happens with L'Occitane.I used this 3 times and ended up throwing it out :(

This is my favourite Body Shop product. I used to love the Brazil Nut Body Butter (the formulation from 8-9 years ago, that was harder and less greasy than the current formulations) but I definitely prefer this over the "new" body butter formulations. Unlike the body butters, this lotion is not greasy at all and sinks in right away, leaving a matte velvety finish. I also like the smell better than its body butter counterpart - it is caramelly, nutty, toffee-y and lingers for the whole day (but not in an overpowering way). I usually prefer unscented products (I'm quite sensitive to fragrance) but I love this!
It's a bit expensive for daily use, but I like to use it as a treat or mix it with my HG daily body moisturizer (Jergens Ultra Care Fragance-Free lotion) - the scent is strong enough that even mixed 50/50 with the Jergens lotion, you can still notice it.

The nutty, caramelly, candy smell of this is amazing and I love the pump dispenser. Unfortunately for me its just not moisturizing enough. Its ok in the summer but even then my legs would get a little dry and I consider my body skin to be dry but not extremely dry. Back to Brazil Nut Body Butter for me.

This lotion smells heavenly and the texture is perfect, not too heavy but very moisturizing. My fiance always tells me I smell good when I use it. I'm on my third bottle, and I hardly ever stay interested in a lotion for this long.

I adore this lotion! I normally hate using body lotion, because it leaves my skin feeling sticky or smothered. This does neither. It absorbs immediately and makes my skin soft. The scent is wonderful as well; I agree with the "toffee" assessment. I highly recommend it.

Oh nooo.... this product has been discontinued in Singapore! Is it still available anywhere else? I love love love this body lotion. I love everything about it, especially the yummy sweet nutty, buttery, caramelly, toffee-like scent. It is very moisturising without being greasy and the texture is really nice, like soft whipped cream. It's also good as a massage lotion, my husband loves it.

I just can't agree with those who say the smell is overpowering. Yes, it's pretty strong while in the tube, but once spread over skin, it beacomes the faintest, most delicious nutty-candy smell you can imagine. It's so perfect for winter months! Sometimes I don't even wear perfume when I use this on my body< and people keep moving in closer and sniffing me. Not to mention it's really moisturising and not too watery/oily, just perfect! I seriously can't think of any single drawback in this lotion. Totally my HG.

I agree with everyone else about the efficiency of this lotion! It really is distinct from watery or greasy lotions. I just want to warn people that the smell is overpowering...it smells like the roasted nuts from street vendors in Manhattan, but since it's so strong you get sick of it real fast. I've been using it for 2 weeks and the smell makes me cringe :(
EDIT: The smell makes me sick, so I can't use it anymore.

It was the first Body Whip Lotion I picked up and I loved it. (Every other one was blah to me). For some reason I get an image of melting cappuccino ice cream off a wooden popsicle stick when I smell this lotion. I don't know why because its Brazil Nut not Coffee/Cappuccino scent. Oh well it makes me happy and I'm gonna use it all up.

I received a sample of this and I am soooo impressed. In the past I've disliked TBS body lotions simply because they always seemed very greasy but not really moisturising ... if that makes sense; they just sat on my skin making it slippery and itchy, not to mention leaving marks on clothes and bed linen! Not so with this ... the "whip" in the title is well placed. The lotion is thick and fluffy, sinks right in and leaves a velvet finish. I adore the smell; it reminds me of those sugared nuts you get in markets at Xmas time here in Germany ... mouth watering, delicious and very comforting!!! I can't wait to try the Mango and Shea next :o)

The first time I smelled this, I almost melted. If you liked the old Brazil Nut body butters, the ones that smelt stronger than the ones they have now, you'll adore this. The texture is just like liquid velvet, and the scent lasts and lasts. It also comes in a pump, which is really nice after years of scooping out body butter out of grungy tubs. The only short coming that I can see is that the scent can be overwhelming if you wear it too much, sort of like cheap drugstore chocolate, but if used sparingly, this lotion is melt-on-your-skin heaven.

The Body Shop's Brazil Nut Whip Body Lotion comes in a handy 250ml pump bottle, and the lotion it contains is fairly thick, beigy-brown in colour, and very moisturizing - one pump is more than sufficient to do my entire hand and arm, up to my shoulders. However, i'm not going to be using it as a body moisturizer. Frankly speaking, I couldn't stand the smell - its too strong, and lingers for hours. People who like the body butter would probably love it though. What I like it for, is as a hand moisturizer. This is THE best hand lotion I've ever used - especially after doing the dishes. Just a tiny bit of the lotion moisturizes my dry, peeling hands like nothing I've ever seen, and it visibly plumps up the skin on the backs of my hands and fingers so that the little lines and tiny wrinkles practically disappear. The lotion absorbs really quickly, probably a minute or two, leaving my hands soft but not in the least greasy, and I was able to read a novel after that without leaving messy fingerprints all over the cover or the pages. In addition, the moisturizing effects last after washing my hands again with soap, which I find quite amazing. my hands remained soft and moisturized, and looks far younger than it has for ages. (though i'm in my mid twenties, my hands unfortunately looked like they belong to a 40 year old's as i never knew about the importance of hand creams when i was younger). I like that the lotion comes in a pump bottle instead of a tube, so its perfect for placing by the sink. I own all four versions of the Nivea handcreams, and have both vaseline and jergens lotions as well, but nothing works the way this does. I will purchase this product again, even though its so expensive for a lotion, but probably in other flavours as the smell sort of makes me gag - it really is too strong. As a hand moisturizer, its perfect!
